Spacious and modern room with a great view. The shower was brilliant - really powerful and the temperature stayed the same at all times. The hotel was spacious and clean. There was a good selection at the buffet & the restaurant staff were very friendly. Diet went out the window. The evening entertainment was very good.Really good would recommend the hotel anytime
Booked a couple of weeks before hand and upgraded to a superior sea view room at very little extra. Lovely modern room with brilliant sea view. Spent the days by the pool/sunbed at the side and the 30 second walk to the beach. Most nights strolled into c'an picafort after dinner or tried the hotel entertainment and local bars which were ok. Would highly recommend and pay the extra for the sea view.
Great location and proximity to the beach. Very welcoming, helping reception staff. Service throughout our stay was perfect. Room was ready before check in time, very nice and spacious, very comfortable beds. The pool area was outstanding-lots of sun beds. Good selection of food in the restaurant, staff were amazing and collected dirty plates and refilled food quickly and efficiently The animation team were amazing, one man in particular, David, he was fantastic The bus stop/taxi rank is right outside the hotel. Very quite at this time of year. A very special trip!
Great value for money. The staff at the front desk were really helpful advising us on where to go and how to get around. They always took time to show us on a map and it really made our stay so much more enjoyable. They are a credit to the hotel. The hotel is in a very good location, literally on the beach. Had a really large room with comfortable bed and good room temperature, bed was very comfortable. Amazing sea view. The room has a kettle. The breakfasts were excellent - great choice of food and staff ever watchful to replace items as they became empty. The hotel is a 1 minute walk from a bus stop.To get to them main center Can Picafort is only about 20/25 minute walk.It was an amazing stay and I would like to do it again
A superb location for an older couple. Rooms good , food good, staff friendly. Next to the beach and near a Nature reserve, for active people or not. Weather was excellent, just right for us , late October.
Holidaty in son Baulo hotel Can Picaford Mallorca we traveled as couple ,arrived Tuesday 29 August2017 late evening for two week holiday. Check in went smoothly and quickly, receptionist very friendly and informative only disappointment we were asked to pay for a fridge for our stay, we declined (sorry afterwards) as weather was very hot and fridge would have kept our drinks cool. We were given room on third floor with pool view, first impressions were what a lovely room and such good view of pool area. We were in time for our first meal in Hotel Son Baulo, restaurant on floor zero. lovely starters and lots to choose from from the main meal and the deserts after our meal were also wonderful , truly lovely meal, and the entire staff in restaurant were friendly and smiled when they were questioned about anything, a truly well well run establishment enjoyably After meal time we went to bar for a relaxing drink very good bar again well run by professionals table service excellent as was the entertainment provided for two week stay was wonderful we would no hesitation recommending the Son Baluo to anyone, a big bonus the hotel is on the beach and near shops bars and bus also there is a street market every Friday on the main street the hotel is run by professional staff , this made our holiday a very pleasant experience we will holiday again in Son Baulo
Very well run property. Hotel is in a perfect location on a lovely sandy beach, quiet location, excellent for families, and very easy access to the beach. Friendly staff, who took great notice of the young children there. Very clean everywhere. Nice pool of varying depths and a very good kids pool with plenty of sunloungers for everyone. We had two lovely large interconnected rooms, with two balconies, very well designed rooms with comfortable beds. We were very surprised there wasn't any mosquito at all. Bravo!!. Buffet breakfast had a huge selection for even the fussiest of eaters, dinner was also good with a selection of meat and fish which would be cooked for you while you waited. Only short walk to harbour. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Two weeks there, travelled as a family, half-board. Breakfast and dinner options were really awesome, excellent variety. Can’t comment on the meat dishes but everything else, fresh/cooked veggies/fruits, cheese, desserts, ice cream incl., bread was in TIP TOP shape. Excellent location according to us, very nice area and very close to the beach. The sea view rooms give you an excellent view, perfect for photos. Nearby there cafes and restaurants, a doctor’s office, and the bus stop. Room/bathroom/terrace cleaned every day. Everyone is really very polite and seem to care about your request/issue. We asked for socket extender and shortly got it, free. Many thanks to Antonia, doing our check-in/check-out, for trying to accommodate our wishes.
Already knew area and picked hotel as by bus stop, Ting Ting land train (€4 adult fare) to get up to actual main resort shops and the market on a Friday. Nice setting as by the sandy beach and quieter than the main strip of beach further past marina. We had a 3rd floor room which had part refurb and bit of pool view through trees. Had to move room part through week as trouble with neighbours- but that's another story! Reception moved us no trouble to better room- thanks really appreciated! The headboards in both rooms look a bit strange and do not go with any other part of room. Shower had trouble with few nights as no cold water to cool it down- ouch!!! Restaurant staff are all so lovely and roast every nite with different choice of potatoes so you don't have to keep eating the chips with every meal! As hotel not full easy to get table and seats around pool which was excellent as lots of different areas to chill. Would visit again this time of year as easy to move about chilling with lovely views of nature reserve, or beach. Bus is easy to get on to visit surrounding areas - Old Town of Alcudia for market ( Sun & tues) and walk around lovely quaint streets. Alcudia various stops from Playa Muro up to marina it self, Puerto Pollensa ( my favourite) and Old Town of Pollensa. Walk up to main Ca'n Picafort is around 20 mins depending on walking speed. You can catch Ting Ting train and walk about main area then catch the train back to right outside hotel if you like too on same ticket. Crazy Horse bar 2 mins walk from hotel very reasonable drink prices €1.50 pint of San Miguel, Martini & lemonade €3,coffee or tea €1.50. Snacks too baguettes, toasted sandwiches and small pizzas available. Owner Pacco and wife so friendly and welcomes you every visit. If enough people he does a quiz which is great fun with his own quips! Was so disappointed when we went to visit on our last night and had closed for season.. hadn't said the night before he was closing but as less and less every night supposedly not worth opening. But sad we didn't say bye!!!😢 See you all on our next visit to the area!!!😝
Wonderful location right on the beach and at one end of a mile long promenade. Rooms are modern, clean and spacious, very clean, lovely balcony and sea view. Very neat and clean bathroom.TV has 8 or 9 English channels. Rooms that overlook the nature reserve are also good for a nice view. The waiting staff in the restaurant are friendly and the food is very good. There is a range of hot and cold food and something for our children to eat at every meal. Breakfasts are the best I have had in any three star hotel in the world. We felt the restaurant is run particularly well. Prices for drinks are reasonable for a hotel. Staff always helpful, polite and courteous. Ines at Reception was especially helpful. The hotel is just a short walking distance from the main resort centre so away from most of the noise and it is a nice flat stroll along the front of the resort. Lovely sandy beach. Can Picafort is a quiet resort. If this isn't what you are after then a car is essential. Parking in local streets is abundant but it can be a challenge in high season. Lovely short break!!!
