This hotel was awful. The room was absolutely tiny, the bathroom was dirty ,the paint was peeling off the walls.t he only positive is that the staff were really friendly and helpful but that's about it.
On arrival late at night at this hotel we expected our evening meal, before we had arrived a party of spanish arrived first and proceeded to eat all the food that was for all parties arriving late - not a good start. We complained at the reception whereby we were given some cold meat not what we expected at having travelled around 8 hours we were given the key to our room we were told the room would have 3 full single beds as my daughter whose 18 was travelling with us, she was given a small put up bed not adequate for some one under 11 let a alone an 18 year old, it was around 4 inch of the floor, the mattress was disgusting, because of the size of the rooms with 3 beds in them we could not even walk around, had nowhere to put cases there was no gap between beds to get in and out. we went down to reception to complain and was told that there was nothing available for the first night but maybe a larger room the next day, first night disaster. We went into the bathroom which had a smaller rather very smaller than normal bath with a shower over it both looked liked they had not been cleaned and full of someones hair - disgusting. Food always cold - people always pushing you out of way - The beach bar was lovely albeit we could never get a lounger as the other visitors had that summed up every day. the drinks are so low in alcohol we gave even trying to get a buzz. we complained on return to the holiday provider and hotel but neither have responded with any explanations hence we writing this review. Will not go back and would not recommend. Bye the way weather was awful for two out of 6 days which just summed the holiday up. Paid for WIFI dont work
My husband, our son and myself had a weeks holiday here. The location of the hotel was ideal as it was close to the beautiful beach and had plenty of shops and eating places around it. We had requested rooms next to each other which we got. The holiday was booked as half board plus but on Sunday we decided to pay extra to upgrade to all inclusive, well worth it. We also paid extra for wi fi in the bedrooms and extra for the use of the safe in the room. The fridge in the room was ideal for keeping water cold as it was quite hot weather, lucky us. There was ample storage for clothes, the beds were comfortable and the balcony overlooking the entertainment area was very nice although it was rather noisy if you wanted to go to sleep before 12 midnight. The bathroom was perfectly adequate and clean but could do with being updated. There was a good choice of food and drinks in the main restaurant with the added bonus of the beach bar/eating place during the day (AI only ). We never went hungry and I loved the cream cakes and desserts. The staff were very happy, friendly and helpful esp the young girl on reception with glasses and long dark hair who always had a greeting and smile, unfortunately we didn't get her name. There was a problem with the air con in one room but it was sorted within a day. Downside was only two small lifts and one broke down in the middle of our holiday and was not fixed before we left but on the upside we used the stairs more although 3 floors up was quite tiring although healthier. I was very concerned about the size of the hotel rooms and food being cold after reading some reviews but no need to worry as the rooms were ample size and very clean and the food was very good. We enjoyed our holiday here very much and would definitely recommend this hotel.
The open style bar I the front of the hotel offers sofas as well as tables and chairs where you can relax and watch the hustle and bustle of the street. 2 for 1 cocktails from 5.30 - 7.30pm work out to just over €4 each. And they also had a different cocktail of the day for €4.50. Huge ice creams sundaes (for the occasional treat) at under €5.
I would like to start by saying the staff are lovely, they are friendly and always helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic location a couple of minutes from the beach and right by the shops. At the rear is the beautiful waterway system and you can sit there with a drink looking at the lake and river to the beach which is a great walk as it's nice and quiet. This hotel is definitely a 3star as it is tired and needs revamping, if this was done it would be an amazing place to stay as everything is there. There is one swimming pool which isn't massive but we did manage to do some swimming until the inflatables arrived then we would go to the beach. We never got a sunbed due to usual selfishness of others putting towels all over them, so we just sat at the tables. The food was always fresh hot and quite varied and plenty of places to sit. Having the beach was a great advantage especially as we were all inclusive so we could have drinks and food on the beach it's just a shame that the hotel do not hire towels as most other places these days. The bar next to the lake seemed a bit pointless as you had to pay for drinks there but they were the same ones you got from the all inclusive bars! We went as a family but our daughter is a young teen, I don't think this is the best place for young families, it would make a great boutique hotel for couples or older families. I would like to return but not until it has been updated.
This hotel is not worth recommend as it seems now. The rooms are old, the s are paper thin so you can hear everything that the next door neighbor is doing. Food is ok, but all inclusive might give you a hard time to find the buffet tempting everyday. The pool is ok. The staff is nice and friendly. There is no parking. There is no free WiFi?! Close to the beach and there is a beach bar as well. Same food.
Cheap and cheerful weekend 4 couples all inclusive with a beach bar.food vg for a 3* beach lunch bar .small room but ok would book again staff were very friendly and helpful animation team were excellent. Loved the mexican night
This hotel is by no means perfect but I do think that some of the negative comments are extreme. The hotel is definitely dated but do you really care if the corridors and decor are not lavish. You have not paid for 5* luxury so do not expect it! The rooms are not as small as we were expecting based on previous reviews. There was enough room for myself and my partner and we did not feel cramped. Not that we spent much time in the room anyway. The bathroom is small and the toilet squashed into a corner which was interesting! The bathroom itself was old and the towels have seen better days but they were clean and overall it was sufficient for our needs. There is no hairdryer so bring your own. Our room overlooked the pool and was quite private. The rooms were cleaned every day and we had no issues. The food was way better than I expected and considering the amount of people being catered for I could not fault it. There was always plenty of choice even though we always went to breakfast and dinner late to avoid the rush. They never ran out of food and the quality was above average for this type of hotel. We always ate lunch at the beach bar which again, was of good quality and quantity. The beach bar was a big reason as to why we picked this hotel as we prefer the beach to the pool and it is surely the biggest plus for the hotel. Drinks are available from 10-5.30, food from 1-2.30 and there's also toilets (always very clean). The beach itself is stunning (soft sand and crystal clear water) and you can walk in either direction north towards the Port or south towards Can Picafort. Entertainment at the hotel was varied but they certainly tried hard. Generally the guests were older, and it had a chilled vibe. We spent all our days on the beach but if you are a 'pool person' you might struggle as the pool is small and does not get a great deal of sun around it. One point to note is that the hotel did not have a room for us on the first night. The situation was handled well and despite not arriving until after 11pm there was food ready for us. They had arranged for us to stay in the hotel across the road which wasn't too much of a problem and after a bit of negotiation we were given cocktail vouchers for the non all-inclusive cocktail bar by way of compensation. However, we were not the only ones this happened to so it would appear they are over booking on a regular basis? We were told that the hotel is due to be refurbished next year so it will be interesting to see what effect this has generally. Overall the hotel exceeded my expectations and for what we paid it was great value. If you want an affordable low-key all inclusive hotel which is basic but practical with good food in a great location then this is the hotel for you.
Visited this cocktail bar today as advertising buy one get one free from 15-00 until 17-30, ordered 2 cocktails before 17-30 hours and 2 after the 17-30 hours but was charged £32-40, when in my reckoning should of been £24-30!! Cocktails advertised on drinks menu at £8-10, each after 17-30. We have used this cocktail bar daily for past 2weeks and would of continued to do during the next 2weeks. But do not like being stitched up. Be we're what they offer is not what they follow.
Stayed here from 3rd to 9th September. All inclusive. The hotel is situated right in the middle of Alcudia with plenty of bars and shops around. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent with a good selection every night. Rooms are small and dated, (our toilet cistern had a big crack in it), but very clean and maids came every day. A hairdryer would've been helpful. Beach bar/cafe was less than 10 minutes walk and served a small buffet at lunchtime. Toilets there were always clean. Only downside, not many sunbeds and these were mostly in the shade due to the palm trees. A no smoking area both at the beach bar and at the hotel entertainment area would have been appreciated. We seemed to be surrounded by smokers, no matter where we sat, within minutes. The hotel backs onto a lake. You can sit right next to it and feed the fish whilst having a relaxing drink from the bar. There was entertainment every night, kicking off with children's entertainment first. On the whole a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely use this hotel again. Suitable for families too.
