Don't expect to sleep if you stay at this hotel as it's so noisy but inside and outside the hotel! The reception staff are so rude that they don't even acknowledge you! Beds were so uncomfortable that my back has still not recovered! There are much nicer hotels for the same cost in the same area! Do yourself a massive favour and stay somewhere else!
-Rude reception staff -Awful room with a broken shower, we were moved to another room begrudgingly only to find the shower was such high pressure it actually hurt! -If you have the misfortune of staying here please do not expect to get any sleep, it’s so noisy both with inside the hotel and outside! -The beds are VERY uncomfortable -Pillows very hard and need upgrading - Awful decor We will never stay here again!!!
We stayed for 3 nights at the Mirador & found it to be a good 3* hotel. Spacious room, side sea view & good sized bathroom. A plentiful breakfast if you choose that board & friendly staff. Quirky art throughout the public areas & have a look from the bar/terrace on the 5th floor for panoramic views of the marina & cathedral. A pleasant 15-20 min. stroll along the marina promenade to the cathedral & old town. Recommended for a short break.
Just stayed at the hotel mirador for the past 4nights. Stayed in room 807, great room with lots of space. Beds a very wide singles pushed together to make a massive double BUT they aren't secured together so they do slip apart if you took into the middle. Great big bathroom, with shower over deep bath, water pressure and water temp best I've ever witnessed, half open tap nearly takes the skin off lol. Our room had a rear street view looking up to the castle bellver and also could see the marina at the front. We got breakfast thrown in with our deal, breakfast wasn't up to much in my opinion. Majorcan bacon I'm not a fan as too used to British, tiny cocktail sausages. Good toast machines and scrambled and fried eggs. More of a continental breakfast aimed at Europeans I feel. The hotel is wheelchair friendly in 95% of places the only bits you won't get to are the indoor pool and the sundeck with the loungers yet there is a sundeck accessible on the floor c - the hotel is a bit of a maze with its floors and lifts as at one point it's been 2 hotels merged into 1. Amazing central location, restaurants and shops to cater for anyone within 30seconds walk. The marina is literally across the road, there is a road crossing right outside, car hire/bike hire places within 30seconds also. Lovely 15min walk to the cathedral and a leisurely 30min walk to the main bus/train stations yet there are bus/taxi rank right outside the hotel. We could not fault our stay and we will happily come back to stay just without the breakfast thrown in as we only ate it on 2 mornings. Great waffle place about 5doors down from the hotel lol
We stayed as a group of 4 friends at Hotel Mirador at the beginning of the spring season. The hotel was easy and quick to get to from the airport and the staff were friendly and courteous upon check in. We had a family room which was basically two rooms (with twin beds in each) joint together which was ideal and each room had its own bathroom so no queuing! The rooms were a good size, quiet and very clean and tidy. The bathrooms were also large and clean with lots of towels, hot water and complementary toiletries. The Wi-fi was good and the view of the harbour from the balcony was lovely. The hotel décor is a bit dated, but clean and tidy. We never saw the swimming pool or spa so some signage would be a good idea. The location of the hotel is ideal as you’re close enough to all the sights and bus routes, plus there were always taxis just outside. The old town is a leisurely 10 mins walk away and there are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants close by so we didn’t bother with the breakfast at the hotel. There was a nice terrace area which looked like it might have a bar during high season and it would have been nice to be able to order a drink or coffee and sit outside overlooking the harbour. The hotel seems to have lots of facilities that they don’t put to good use or advertise, at least not in low season, but overall we had a pleasant stay and would recommend the Hotel Mirador.
Pleasant large room with balcony overlooking the marina. We stayed in room 203, and I have to add a word of warning: we booked a 'double/twin bed' room. Everywhere else we've stayed, this has meant twin beds that can be zipped together to make a double, or unzipped according to taste. Not here. These were twin beds, albeit wide beds. This required a certain amount of creativity with bedding. Apart from that, this is a well-situated hotel, ten minutes walk from the old town, and very conveniently placed for the bus from the airport (5 euros). Fun watching cargo and cruise ships come and go.
Interesting hotel that seems to have been two buildings joined into one on a hill going inland. From reception you actually go along a tunnel to some lifts. The basic room was very well maintained, very comfortable and clean. Nice touch having two small bottles of water for free in the mini bar. Breakfast included hot and cold food, croissants etc. there's more than enough choice, though one surprise is that it costs Euro 15, so do check your booking. After a days outing we were all looking forward to using the facilities however the two hot tubs on the roof of floor 5 were cold tubs at an unusable 20°C. There are other indoor facilities that are well hidden. You’ll find them if you follow the sign to something like TV suite. There you find a flowing exercise pool, a spa, a steam room and a sauna. When we were there the steam room was off and there was no water tub in the sauna. These spa facilities seem a secondary consideration. The suites/upmarket rooms at the front have a great view over the large marina and the strip with the cathedral on the far left. Big thanks to the front desk staff for lending an umbrella on a surprisingly wet day. Yes, I'd opt to stay here again.
We stayed in the Hotel Mirador for 3 nights (Thursday to Sunday) and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, we did feel it a little overpriced for what we got; good room overlooking the harbour so wonderful view but there were no tea or coffee making facilities and no mini bar save for 2 small bottles of water which, admittedly, were free; breakfast wasn't included and we didn't eat in the Hotel due to it being 15 euros per person for breakfast which, again, we thought was too much considering we were paying approximately £145.00 per night for the room! The hotel is very clean throughout, maybe a little dated, but very clean. Part of the enjoyment of our stay was the 'Faulty Tower-esque' way the bar was run in the evenings! I requested 2 glasses of port but all they could find was a bottle containing hardly anything and when we had decided on an alternative, suddenly another customer laughed saying 'You're in luck - they've found some port'!! To add to the pleasure in the bar, the measures are enormous! The only down side really was the gentleman on Reception in the evenings who had no personality whatsover to the point of being rude; I requested a city map which he produced, placed it on the desk and without a smile or even one little word, that was it! He never side good evening, goodbye or smiled - we felt as if we were intruding in his space if we requested anything. On our last night, our room key wouldn't work and he had to come upstairs to let us in - that went down like a ton of bricks! It wasn't our fault but you would have thought it was! However, we didn't let him get us down but I really do feel The Mirador Reception staff need some lessons in courtesy!
enjoyed my 3 day stay at the hotel. with my girlfriend. room 812 was really nice so big too with a wonderful view of the harbour marina. close to everything, really clean, good staff good breakfast. we enjoyed the stay throughout. i asked for a kettle via email prior to our trip.. 2 minutes after putting our bags in the room.. a kettle arrived. great service. i would recommend this hotel.. the only little thing which i didn't like was the TV channels.. only CNN news was in English.. maybe sky or BBC news could be added... not a big problem..we would stay again without doubt. the shower pressure was great.. it was a pleasure to stay at the Mirador.
small cosy traditional not corporate at all. Very old school but also charming in that way. Free wifi easy social staff bed is firm. What more could you want. Great thing is taxis are always there on the corner so happy to jump in one to get to meetings.
