Stayed with friends in June. Hotel is situated about 15 mins from airport (about 20 euros). It's in a great spot away from the hussle of central Palma. The seafront is a 10 minute walk and not much further to Cathedral. Hotel has 2 lovely pools and the grounds are kept v clean. You can't get to sun beds before 9am. Great poolside bar that also serves food. Rooms were v clean and tidy with everything you need for city break. The only thing missing was tea and coffee in room. However, the breakfast buffet is excellent and with lots of choice. We also had dinner included which, again, was great. There is also a fantastic spa. The hotel will also let you use facilities once you've checked out which is great if you need shower /freshen up after a day exploring. Great place to stay.
We were in shear disbelief when we entered our room to find the following! Lights hanging off the wall and hair and opened soap in our bathroom! This is not what we were expecting given the previous review from family and friends! This may have been a one off however we will not be returning ever from our experience.
We stayed 2 night after landing from England. Very pleasant room, comfortable and spacious. Nice and clean bathroom. Swimming pool is not as big as it looks on pictures but still very well furnished. Great cocktails at the pool bar. Staff was very kind and helpful when needed. Small private parking, not free. Make sure you reserve. 5 min walk to the port, restaurants and bars.
Would just like to start by saying the hotel was amazing and i really enjoyed my stay. I was travelling to palma for a few days and chose to stay in this hotel down to the great reviews. The only downfall was I had to order my drinks so i would get them the next day as the bar staff were really slow. One of the highlights of my stay was the lovely wedding party that were staying there. They were really lovely and made me feel welcome. They would have there own music on by the pool and would play really good songs. They even invited me to magaluf with them on numerous occasions. I however did feel like they were being targeted by other guests around the pool. I seen a young lady throw her drink in the pool which meant it was closed for 2 days and the wedding party were blamed. All in all I really enjoyed my stay but mainly due to the entertainment by the pool. I actually seen a lady swimming with hair rollers in. Would definitely stay again. In fact i may be coming back in Sept as the same wedding party are coming back and have invited me to join them. See you in soon Isla Mallorca
We have stayed at their hotel three times before as we love it, however this stay was different it was spoilt by a large wedding group of adults. The pool was closed for two days in a row due to two people being sick into the pool. They then took over the other pool on the upper deck, nobody else entered this pool as the group were being very noisy and being boisterous. They had no respect for the other residents. On our last night they were in the Oasis bar until very late and we could hear them in our room up on the 6th floor until the early hours of the morning. Apart from this it's a lovely hotel, the service in Oasis bar is slow, staff on the reception are very efficient.
This hotel has so much potential but there were just too many frustrating points letting it down. The room was ok with a nice view and modern decor but not spotless. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and the sliding bathroom door didn't close right to...not ideal! There was an occasion where our room wasn't serviced for 2 days until we called reception and they sent housekeeping straight up (great but frustrating when you've been out all day and would just like to return and relax). Didn't opt for breakfast so couldn't comment on that. The food and drinks from the pool bar were ok but the service there was slow. The pool bar is supposed to open at 12 daily but opened late on several occasions and when it did open they were totally unprepared for service so it was always a tedious experience. It is possible to walk straight off the street to the pool area which we initially felt was a security issue which was later proved when some local kids wreaked havoc one afternoon running around, diving in and out of the pool before steeling a ladies cigarettes and running away. No staff members intervened, the pool area felt totally unmanaged. Our last day by the pool was spoilt by a large loud group. We're all up for having fun on holiday but swearing loudly, playing your own loud music, play fighting in the pool (grown men) and leaving vomit on the floor for all to tread in somewhat destroyed the tranquility of the pool we'd experienced on other days. Again, no staff members intervened or managed the situation. A few members of the reception staff were polite, other staff members were pretty unfriendly. No secure luggage storage option for arrival and departure days. There is just a communal luggage room for all to use.
Arrived to a room with several things not working. Hotel fixed them but did not believe us to start with that they didn't work. A big group of awfully behaved English people around the pool. Sick two days in a row in the pool with the pool having to being closed. One night we ate in the Hotel restaurant with this group shouting and swearing and on the balcony naked. Spoke to manager who said unable to control them and nothing they can do. Supposed to be a relaxing celebration for a friends birthday but turned into a loud, noisy nightmare with no pool and unsympathetic staff. Extremely disappointed and upset.
I stayed here 8th to 15th June on recommendation of a disabled friend (I am disabled too). This review will focus on two parts; Accessibility & General Hotel. Starting with the later. This hotel is 4* because of it's facilities, i.e. Spa, Pool Bar & Location. However, the room quality is not reflective of the pictures, it terms of size, colours and modern image. The mini bar was empty, no robes provided as advertised, you had to pay for a pool towel (refundable) but it was nowhere near the pool. The hotel has 300 rooms, potentially 500 guests - it has 30-40 sunbeds. The restaurant was ok, boring repetitive. What was really worrying is the many times I was attempted to be charged for drinks I didn't have. Bedding was not changed often and one day my room was not attended too. I had to ask for tea and coffee facilities, again a charge - in a 4* hotel? The manager was good, but his staff were rude, ignorant and did anything possible to not help. The pool bar had a good range of snacks, prices were not too bad. Accessibility wise the room was small, no room to transfer from bed to wheelchair or hoist (as in gap beside bed narrow). The wet room was awful, no ventilation, floor had some dangerous slops, and the toilet was too high for commode or transfer. The shower was poor, no pressure, hot burning then luke warm (all throughout days). However, the disabled toilet by pool was huge, had shower, had space. The spa was not very accessible, the pool chair did not swing out enough to transfer independently or with help - this was the same for outdoor pool (which has switch missing). The steam room was accessible, but not sauna - this jacuzzi was not accessible either (steps). Overall what I envisaged was not delivered, I was left disappointed and staff despite being told did very little to try and turn it around - other than offer to check us out. Personally for 7 nights at Euros 1250 I felt robbed!
Stayed here beginning of June for a hen party. Only about 15 mins from the airport and a lovely little oasis in the middle of suburbia. Close enough to walk to the harbour or restaurant area of Santa Catalina. The pools are lovely, not enough sun beds though! Pool bar has good drinks/food but the service is PAINFULLY slow. We had a Junior Suite which was really spacious and it had lovely harbour views. Overall very impressed with this hotel and would definately stay here again
I went a few weeks ago, for 4 days, to celebrate my 50th birthday with some girlfriends. The location of the hotel is great - you can walk into central Palma in about 15 minutes and taxis are readily available if you don't want to walk anywhere. Starting with the positives, the pool area is nice and the pool bar is also good with a wide variety of food and drinks from12 each day. The pool was clean and although not huge, great to swim in (although I didn't see any lifeguards for those with children!). I went to the spa on a few occasions and this is excellent. Lovely treatments well priced and the therapists were really fantastic (for both a facial, massage and pedicure). Breakfasts are good too, with a wide choice ranging from continental to bespoke omelettes/eggs and good pastries. Now for the not so good bit. We booked 2 x urban rooms with balcony. Upon arrival (which was mid morning) we were told it would not be ready till after 2, which was fine. When one of the rooms was ready, close to 3pm, I was frankly horrified. It was very small, bordering on claustrophobic. The toilet door did not shut properly and the balcony had faded and peeling paintwork and was also tiny. The whole room made me feel quite unpleasant, and was not priced accordingly. Frankly, I would be disappointed to get this at a budget hotel in the Uk for about £60 a night, much less versus what we paid. I complained to the people on the front desk, who I have to say were fantastic -and incredibly helpful. However, I suspect that this may not have been the case for less vocal visitors! The new rooms we were given were in the new building, which were frankly a different class. They were spacious and modern and light. The whole of the older building, which houses the dining room needs to be completely overhauled, as looks very dated and is quite dark. We wanted to have dinner on the first night in the hotel as we had been travelling since early that day, but were told we couldn't eat outside on the terrace! The dining room feels like a cafeteria in a department store to be honest. Overall, an OK hotel which probably deserves a 3 star taking into account both buildings, but with lovely facilities and people and a great location!
