Went here in July 2017. Was a little worried about previous reviews having booked and then checked trip advisor before going. Hotel is great . Children’s splash park was a welcome attraction. The rooms are nicely decorated. Food was great with plenty to choose from and plenty of variety each day. Afternoon snacks went down well with our 5 year old who particularly liked the hot dogs , burger and pizza. Complex was clean and tidy and the staff were always on hand and helpful. Entertainment .. don’t listen to other moaning travellers saying the entertainment staff only cater for other nationalities. Our LO loved the mini disco every night and was able to join in with all the other kids.. the entertainment staff were great and worked really hard and went out of their way to include everyone Overall a great holiday and excellent hotel. Well worth visiting especially if you have children

We visited this hotel in October stayed Their for a friends wedding. Very German orientated things such as the food, entertainment, amusements, we disliked this hotel a lot even tho the rooms were ok the pools around the hotel was not heated an the water was too cold to stay in longer than a couple of minutes very uncomfortable, the entertainment staff are all German an Spanish they have no time for the English an not appropriate for young children as their was some rude gestures and scenes during performances, The food was disgusting German sausage was on 3x a day best part of the all inclusive was the lunch bar for a burger or hot dog, we ended up eating out, as for the location was quite good had a local centre but very expensive all round, an very little to do during night times, wouldn’t recommend to anyone

We booked this hotel on short notice due to the Monarch situation. The staff were excellent,we asked to change rooms due to my wifes arthritis and they changed us to a ground floor room with no problem. Carlos and Pedro on reception were a wealth of knowledge. The whole complex was cleaned daily. The choice of food was good on most days but not great and was what you would expect for 3 star. Amstel lager. My wife drinks vodka and we had to specifically ask for smirnoff or you got the very poor alternative. The entertainment was awful, the entertainment staff tried but it didn't work. The German holidaymakers seemed to be enjoying it so maybe it was us having a different sense of humour.

Came back from this hotel yesterday and couldn’t wait to get home catered for german people with no interest or time for the english which is disgusting as paying customers as well. Although the hotel its self was clean, the food was dreadful nothing there to make a meal out of it was like whatever’s left was thrown out there hot or cold including the snack food. They also would turn cooked meat with the same utensils they out the raw meat out with. There were flies all over the food and many of our party were terribly ill after eating in the restaurant which looked exactly like a food court. The staff were miserable and didn’t mind making you wait to order your drinks spoke to us with no respect when we placed full drinks by our beds round the pool area whilst getting settled as if we were tramps that left a mess behind us regardless that again there were german families doing the exact same so there was a definite favour for the german customers. The all inclusive was capped at 11pm so the hotel decided when your evening ended and also limited how many drinks you could get at one time. The entertainment was shocking again never bothered with our children at all even though they were up there watching whilst the staff were spitting water at each-other taking each others clothes off and in my opinion was not appropriate for small children but seeing as it was all in german with next to no english translation the children were none the wiser. We travelled for a friends wedding and there was about 25+ of us including small children who all shared the same views. The pool water was way too cold to enjoy and actually made your body ache which was such a shame as we all enjoy the pool as do the kids. The water in the bathrooms that you used to brush your teeth and shower in was in fact salt water which was disgusting. The air conditioning was pathetic the fridge wasn’t even cold the safety deposit box wasn’t even working and they charged you to use wifi in this day and age. The only thing i would commend them on was helping us with transport to the church as there were no available taxis. Very disappointing holiday and definitely wouldn’t stay again

Myself and a friend have just returned from an amazing 8 day stay here and I must say this is the best All Inclusive hotel I have ever stayed at. We arrived early 11 am although our room was not ready the Receptionist put our bands on and we went straight to the Snack Bar which provided Chips, Hotdogs, Burgers and Pizza, which were delicious. He said our room would possibly be ready at 12 noon and it was, we were in Block 9 - 9308 - it was on the second floor and had a balcony which overlooked the pool area, the room had a bathroom with shower two single beds, there was air conditioning (free), wifi was not free. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the cleaning staff ensure that bedrooms, dining areas, bar, restaurant are continually cleaned throughout the day with clean towels daily if you put your dirty ones on the side of the bath also our sheets were changed once during our stay. Breakfast from 8 am - 10 am - cereals, fruit, yogurt, large selection of bread, cheese, soft cheese, ham, salami, fruit juice, coffee, pancakes, croissants. Bar open from 10 am - 12 pm - there was a fruit juice, machine, water dispenser, 3 coffee machines, you could help yourself - there was cakes and biscuits also provided in the afternoon. Snack bar opened at 10 am until 12 noon - chips, burgers, hot dogs, pizza - it closed when the Restaurant was open - Dinner 12 noon - 2 pm - Salads, meats, pasta, bognaise, pizza, chips, various breads, bread rolls, wine dispenser, coffee and selection of teas, large selection of fruit and desserts, ice cream was available whenever the Restaurant was open. The Snack bar reopened at 2 pm - 6 pm and then an evening meal was served in the Restaurant at 6.30 p.m. until 9 pm - every evening there was soup, a selection of breads, cheeses, always a roast option, a selection of salads, pasta, bolognaise sauce, pizza, baked potato, one time sweet potato, twice mashed potato, a large selection of sweets. Then there were snacks left out in the restaurant from 9 pm - 12 midnight - there was never a time you could not eat or drink. On our last day we were not being picked up until 8 pm and had to give our key in at 11 am, we were worried as in past experience they remove your All Inclusive bands, but not so here we kept the bands after putting our cases in the safe room, we spent the day by the pool and used the shower facilities in the sports block just outside the hotel. There was a water park as part of the hotel facilities, an Animation Team who worked tirelessly throughout the day, we were asked to play volley ball, water polo, darts, shuffle board, every evening they put on a show, I thought they were great, we took part in the daily quiz and even won once! Yes most of the guests are German but to be honest they were all lovely and as we took part in a few activities we got to know quite a few of them and traded smiles and greetings throughout the week. I really can not brag this hotel up enough, it was lovely and I would definitely return.

Just come back from 9 nights here with my partner and loved every single minute! The hotel is lovely, spotlessly clean and all of the staff were very helpful. The entertainment was good but is more for the kids we felt and although that didn’t matter to us, if you are looking for something more adult orientated then this might not be for you. The food was amazing, by far the best all inclusive food we’ve ever had. There was plenty of variety at every sitting and all was delicious. It was always hot and everything was always full, which isn’t usually the case when going all inclusive. The restaurant staff were brilliant and there was never a dirty table. The room was basic (twin beds, wardrobe, balcony, TV, mini fridge, storage and bathroom with walk in shower) but again very clean, well looked after and was more than what we needed. It is very family orientated so if you are looking for a relaxing couples getaway then maybe look elsewhere, however, we had an amazing time and would certainly return! We didn’t want to leave and can’t thank the staff enough for making sure our holiday was so brilliant. Will certainly come back in the future!

I have just returned from this hotel and I would recommend it to all my friends and family, however it is in Cala Egos not Cala dor. Check in was very easy and Fran on reception was lovely. The rooms are clean and towels cleaned every day. The food was nice and there is a lot of variety although catered mainly to German tastes. Didn't really watch the entertainment but from bits I saw sounded good. The other guests in this hotel are mostly German but the hotel chain Primosol is German based so what do you expect? The hotel offers excursions that they will book for you on request which we did and went to the aquarium. It was so easy to do. The area around the hotel is stunning. The beach is a two minute walk away and the sea is lovely and clear, really good for snorkelling and you even get a man coming around with fruit every day! Cala dor itself is so picturesque and the marina has some very nice boats! The Main Street with shops is 3 minutes away and there is a variety of shops and restaurants. There is also a mini train that runs every day to take you around the resort which is really efficient and cheap. You can walk to Cala dor marina in half an hour. We went on the star fish glass bottom boat, the coast is gorgeous and lots of fish. The transfer is 1 hour from the airport. I love this place and I would love to go back and I'm sure you will 😊.

We Arrived 28/09/2017 for a family break to this hotel. On arrival greeted by Carlos the reception guy(very very helpful). Our room was ready on arrival very fast check also. We was located in block 4 on the first floor, please note it's a nightmare with a pushchair going up and down 28 steps with a 16 month old fast asleep as there is no lift facility's in the complex. Room was lovely and tidy very spacious with a large balcony area. 2 single beds put together and 1 nice clean cot for the little one. Not very good facility's. No kettle in the bedroom or tea making facility's. You would normally find it in most 3 star hotels. Bathroom was big. No bath for the little one only a shower so that was a nightmare. We asked to move rooms on our 3rd day eventually due to this. Now to the food. Wow what can I say. Shocking shocking shocking do not cater for all people especially the English what so ever. It was 98% catered for the Germans. Breakfast.... stone cold beans most days. No English bacon , sausage or hash browns mushrooms etc only German sausage and cheese for them. There was small selection of fruit for example apples and bananas but once the bananas have gone they do not replace them. Selection of pancakes and different pastry options. Snack bar was open through out the day. Selection of burgers , hotdogs , chips and pizza. Couldn't complain about that. All though. Didn't really eat at lunch there so couldn't comment. Dinner here we go. If you love chips this is the place for you. A lot of stuff was 80% German cuisine. Yes it's nice to try new stuff but for 10 nights in a row. We had to eat 5/10 nights due to this. Not bad to say we payed for all inclusive. Also they do not cater for English children. Food selection was poor and the way to restaurant male supervisor spoke to his staff was shocking. Drinks: selection of coke, sprite , Fanta and water. Alcoholic drinks: Amstel on tap. Cocktails are out of a machine. Very watered down and wouldn't recommend them at all. You'd expect them to make fresh? Entertainment: if you love bingo and films go ahead. 98% was in German. The only guests they was bothered about is the Germans didn't get asked once to play Volleyball or participate any other sport. If my 17 month little boy try to participate in any little disco it was hard due to the lack of English guests. Pool are was lovely surrounded by palm trees and different depths of water so very much ideal for children. Also the times are 10-6. Lovely splash park at the back of the hotel must admit fantastic for different ages from 16 months onwards. Slides, water falls and the depth was good to. Very clean to! Management: paid €45 for nice inflatables for the family. Moved rooms after 3 days. Put my stuff in the luggage room as we went to aqua land on the Monday. Went to get my luggage Monday night and our inflatables have gone? Asked the manager reception and he said some one has taken them? Then I responded and he said inflatables are not allowed in there? So I am 110% he burst them. Why would he say that then say kid has taken them? Not on at all. Our rep is chasing it up now and if not would like to see CCTV. On the positive side: 4 receptionist over 2 shifts are most nicest people you will meet. Couldn't do enough for you. Please note there was only 3 English guest over 10 night stay. And it was a busy hotel.

Arrived the morning at resort to find our room wasn't ready until 2pm, we have over 12 hours of travel and our flights where 3 hours earlier due to the Ryan air flights being cancelled. As we know Cala Dor well we popped into town for a drink and arrived back On arrival back the room was then available we where on top floor room 312 it was immaculate and the more up to date room. There was no lifts so had to carry luggage up 2 flights of steep steps to ur room (feeling very sorry for the older generation with their luggage having to carry it upstairs) Food is brilliant no faults what so ever, only problems at this point that there was no mini disco on the first night but the second night all the songs where in German for the mini disco. More advise if you are not a plain Jane you will be stared at the whole of meal times and evening. By the second night we where slightly annoyed with the Germans for constantly staring. We watched tonight entertainment from our Balcony it was brilliant the entertainer put on a show called 'can't stop the beat' singing and dancing very good entertainment and the whole crowd was enjoying it! On the Tuesday morning morning there is slight overcast but 22 degrees, we made our way down to the pool side to get a good place to get the sun when it appears, most areas of the pool side are taken with towels over the tops of the sun loungers... terrible over 2 hours we sat before the bed then had people on clearly reserving loungers when hotel paperwork strictly say no reserving 5:30pm every day they have a sundown bingo all in German no good for us brits but was funny to watch This evening again mini disco is late over 20mins late whilst they set the stage up for entertainment When entertainment started all in German no translation of English or any other language, within 10 minutes of the entertainment starting we headed off to Betty's music bar! 5:30pm Wednesday sundown bingo was done on all three languages English, German and Spanish! Very happy Thursday meal was nothing we would eat so took ourselves for a mean at Indian johns then over to Betty's music bar! Friday we did not stay on the complex atall decided as it is our last night to have a meal in the food hall, we found a place to seat and the table was laid waiting for us... we went to get drinks the drink machine was turned off at the end of the hall we sat and also they had cleared away our table leaving us with no knives and forks it was 8pm the place was busy and food did not stop until 9pm, around half 7/8 bread was not available from the one end of the dining hall either they place a red barrier when they close the one end of the room closing down sections when not needed. Unfortunately for us we had an awful experience due to feeling unwelcome by the holiday makers we where if not the only two English on the resort, when your on holiday it's nice to speak to all walks of life we had no interaction with staff or holiday makers we had to go back to the local bars for us this experience of changing hotel from a 5 star to this 3 star was not a bright move, there was nothing at all wrong with the hotel it was lovely and the pool just sad we have to be stared at. We normally spend a lot of time round the pool and pool bar and meals from pool bar we done next to nothing, this year we have spent more money outside the complex as we felt so uncomfortable. My advice in a nutshell... if you can speak German go here British felt very unwelcomed by other holiday makers!

I visited this hotel in Sep 17 with my wife. We moved to this hotel after our original hotel was overbooked. We paid to upgrade to All Inclusive having been given Half Board. The food was generally good, catering for the predominantly German clientele. Don't let this bother you, we found the lack of Brits refreshing. The guests were friendly and polite, not what you always get. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. Our room was immaculate and in good repair, it would have been nice to have a sofa or chairs in our room as the only place to sit was the bed. The air con was not threat either. We didn't really watch the entertainment so can't really comment. That said the staff were very friendly.
