The views from the rooms at this hotel are amazing. I had a lovely holiday with two friends who were also impressed with the hotel and its amenities. It's clean with a nice pool and friendly staff. The food is ok, the usual buffet. The location is great just outside of Palma, it takes about 1 hour and a quarter to walk along the bay to the Cathedral or there are frequent buses. Only about 20 mins from the airport. There is a hill or steps to go up from Cala Major to the hotel but would only be a problem for the very unfit. We found the hotel great value for money and will definitely be returning.

The hotel was clean and the pool was spacious and quiet. Myself and a few friends had a great few days. The cafe culture was lovely and we enjoyed every evening soaking up the atmosphere with the jolly locals

We got back from 10-days vacation few days ago. From the airport we took a taxi, it cost 30 euros. The hotel was good, needs a bit updating but for 3-star hotel it was fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was a bit small. It was cleaned daily. The pillows were awful though. It is almost in every hotel, so nothing new with that. Amazing sea view from our balcony. Balcony ok size, 2 chairs. Safe price was 3 euros per day, too much we though and didn't use it. WiFi was available, but not so good quality in the room. Pool area, reception and dining room had much better quality. We had breakfast and dinner included. Breakfast didn't suprised in any way. Dinner had some changes during our stay and all together the food was ok. Pool area was fine, enough sunbeds during the day. Even though the hotel was fully booked there wasn't sense of crowd. Only one night we couldn't get into the dining room at once as all tables were occupied. We waited around 20 minutes or so. Transport is near and connection to Palma is easy and frequent. Ticket was 1.50 euros. Beach is close also, just down the hill. Clean&clear blue water, a bit of sand also where to lay down. Nice almost private swimming was possible before noon. If you want proper big sandy beach, you should go to Magaluf. Beautiful white sand and clear water. A lot beach bars and action. As the hotel situated on the top of the hill there was much exercise also. Maybe not the best choise for elderly or disabled persons. We enjoyed our stay and it was great vacation.

This was our 3rd holiday here in mid September (which actually turned into our honeymoon when we got married just before we left the UK). We knew what to expect from our previous visits - a reasonably priced hotel ,offering good service and very good value for money. The staff all work hard to provide a good service for everyone and we appreciate it - although some other guests from the UK seemed to have a bit of an attitude problem. The hotel is clean , the food is good for the price we paid, and there is nothing really to be critical of. The staff on reception are always helpful with local information , and the bus service to Palma and nearby resorts is cheap and regular. So if you want a decent hotel at a decent price I recommend the Blue Bay. Thanks very much to Carmen,Paco, Boris and the rest of the staff for helping to make our stay so enjoyable.

Located at the top of a hill overlooking the med, great sea view from room as a result. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially the bar people Boris and pepe. The waiting staff at breakfast were also warm and welcoming, all with ready smiles and a willingness to help. The hill was a bonus if you wanted exercise and a view, but had to be negotiated whenever you ventured anywhere - transport needed for the less able. The hotel was a little tired in places, but spotlessly clean. Breakfast was generous and well stocked, the pool area had no issues with reserving beds, with signs clearly advising against this and also no smoking around the pool itself. Pool snack bar was great and the whole experience was excellent value for money and ideal for touring Palma and surrounding area. A good 3star. However, no hairdryer in room, but you could borrow from reception for short periods of time. Gathered from another guest that remotes for tv also had to be requested from reception. Who needs a tv though? Overall, pretty good

Booked a week at this place and lasted one night. From the moment we chexked in it was a nightmare. Staff arrogant hotel is old fashioned thread bare carpets old furniture. It s like going back to 1970. The rooms are tiny and in need of updating. Beds are like camp beds. It is the worst place I ve ever stayed. Food is awful I mean seriously awful. I hated every minute of it. We left after one night and booked into another hotel it was that bad tbere was no way I could have spent another night at this place. If you re thinking of staying here save your money and sleep on the beach ..it d be better than this place. Seriously!. Don't know what the good reviewers are used to but this place is the pits. And it's not a case of you get what you pay for. The hotel I ve now booked is cheaper and is night and day. Never ever stay here . Please.

Just arrived back from a 4 night holiday with the hubby. Private transfer from the airport took 10-15mins. Check in was quick and a low floor room (as requested by e-mail) was ideal, room was clean and tidy - overlooking the pool and a great view of the sea. Even though the hotel was full it wasn't busy, always Sun beds round the pool (comfortable ones too) at any time of the day. Food was usual 3* all inclusive, no hassle in getting a table in the restaurant at any time. Drinks were the norm, with bigger glasses on an evening. Staff worked hard but always had a smile on their faces. There are lots of steps if you plan on going into the town but we only went the once. All in all a great short break, very chilled, no queues, no sunbed wars and very quiet. Great end to the hols and would return.

Just back from a weeks stay with my granddaughter. We arrived just before midnight and after checking in we went up to our room on second floor. Unfortunately we weren't on the best side and didn't get the beautiful view of the sea. Instead we overlooked a park. Our room was so small, we had to put the suitcase in the bathroom in order to close the door. The room was ten inches longer than the beds and ten foot the other way. The ensuit bathroom was fine but only had a half bath but the over bath shower was lovely. We had to put the chair from the dressing table out on the balcony for a bit of room. Having said that, as we were only sleeping there it wasn't worth making a fuss. The hotel was full so we wouldn't have been moved anyway, The hotel was very clean, the room was cleaned every day. The outdoor areas were hosed down each morning . The food was varied, always found something to eat, sometimes though it wasn't always very hot, but all tastes were catered for. There were plenty of sun beds whatever time we went to the pool, shame some of them didn't have the bit that raises the head end, but there were some new sun beds too. There was entertainment every other night but nothing to get excited about, one was a couple doing quick costume changes to each song they sang, another night was just CDs playing and the third night was a Brazilian trio of dancers. Don't be put off by the comments about the area, it's a ten minute walk down to the town and the steps are ok. I'm nearly 70 and very unfit and the steps were OK!! Buses are frequent and not expensive, Please pass on our thanks to your staff, everyone was friendly and professional and we would certainly come back to Blue Bay

Me and my husband went to stay here last week for 5 nights. Little getaway without any children and it didn't disappoint. From arriving at the hotel the lady at the front desk checked us in with no delays, ran through all the information for the all inclusive in detail. The room is a god size, clean and comfortable. The hotel its self was immaculate, the rooms were cleaned every day with new towels if you required them. I was traveling on hand luggage only so having the use of a hair dryer at the hotel was a bonus, you ask for it at reception and return it when your finished. I have seen a review on here saying its stupid you have to return the hair dryer but seriously who needs a hair dryer more than an hour?! I thought it was a good idea. The food is basic but plenty variety, there will be some thing for everyone, salads were really nice. I don't think it is a place for children, its more a adult hotel, the pool was quiet and you didn't have to fight for sunbeds, which is what we were after. Cala Mayor its self is a little run down, but overall we really enjoyed our stay.
