Hotel Balear

Second visit to Can Pastilla and Hotel Balear after 7 years. Pleased to say that beyond some cosmetic touch ups it's still the same small and friendly hotel. If you want luxury then go elsewhere, but for a clean, friendly and reasonably comfortable stay this place will more than meet your needs. All rooms have a balcony and a fridge - which is great for having chilled drinks in the evening. The beach is a few moments away and the town square, overlooked by the front of the hotel has a local market a couple of times a week. The airport is 10 mins away - the bus stops outside. Fully recommended for a great value beach break.

Following a late flight into Palma airport, my family and I took rooms at this hotel as it was nearby and allowed us to wake refreshed and ready to start our holiday. Overall, Balear is a decent hotel for a short stay. It won't win any awards for bring the most luxurious, but it doesn't pretend to be either. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the air con works - plus the staff are very pleasant. Whilst I wouldn't book a week's holiday, it's a very convenient and comfortable way to start your time in Majorca.

We have stayed in many small and larger hotel in Mallorca and in Malaga and this hotel is not comfortable for any needs. Old and bad beds and not comfortable. The receptionists are good people but the hotel is not good for our holidayservice and the rooms need to be better painted and better cleaned. Location is fine but not the hotel.

Indescribably old, tumbledown and depressive "familiar" room (4 pax) by 300,00 € per night?? But what's the hell??? A full swindle, undoubtedly. Please see the true pictures of the room and compare them with the "nice" ones they show in their website. Furthermore, very poor food range in the breakfast, almost without available fruit... and the coffee in a soup-bowl! And as a tip: angry and rude charwoman... To the owners: place your bets and take advantage as much us possible of the touristic peak season, winter might be too long.

Stayed here yesterday for the day as we had a late flight and villa departure was 10am. Sydney on the front desk was so lovely and on first appearances the hotel seemed nice too. Our room looked like something from 1975! 80euros so not cheap either! No balcony or door on bathroom. Toilet door handle broken, internal room with no windows! Stunned, could not even bring ourselves to shower in it!

Stayed here on the first night of our holiday after a late flight. Nice big room with 1 double and 2 twin beds (in separate rooms) and a Balcony overlooking the square. Good selection of hot and cold good at breakfast and the receptionist was really helpful. The only downside the location means it can be a bit noisy after 8am. I would definitely stay again.

Offered this hotel instead of the Nautic that we had booked because the Nautic had overbooked. The reception was rude and unhelpful, rooms smelt damp and dirtyand you had to be slim to get in and out of doors and bathroom. Safe didn't work tv minuscule Sea view apparently.... no just a view of the bar across the road. Mini fridge with zero in it not even a bottle of water. Breakfast... no juice water or coffee as machine had broken and a tiny breakfast room which was like a sauna. Tiny clatter lift to rooms. Seriously disappointed and fuming that they thought this was a reasonable alternative to the beautiful Nautic. Only good thing was the position it was in. Would not return or recommend.

We were there for 5 nights and we had a good time. They have a very good taste Breakfast and rooms are beautiful and good service. They have very friendly staff. Parking are all around hotel but you have to have little patience to get a parking. Beach is very close.

We used this hotel for night before an early flight and it is perfect for that, its in great location and taxi rank within 1 minute walk. Beach within 2-3 minute walk and hotel itself is clean and breakfast good. No faults. Free internet which was also useful.

nothing not to like for minimal 3 night stay. If staying longer a pool would be nice &room with balcony. I personally cocked the booking up, I had to phone the Hotel because I booked a family room for only 2 persons. Kids needed to be added. This was done the day before we travelled. The Hotel & Sydney went out of their way to accommodate my Family of 7 persons. Triple room & large Family room. ALL were very happy with the outcome. The LOCATION of this Hotel is in the middle of everything, beach is 100yds away. Traditional Spanish Hotel with charm & character. Good variety for breakfast. staff friendly
