One thing I can say for sure, the beds are super comfortable. I slept good every night of our holiday. The food was okay. We did the half fare of only breakfast and dinner. The Paella and other specialty dishes the kitchen prepared for the guest really could have had more seasoning. The coffee was also not to my taste but by the third day we figured out that if you push the espresso and then the hot milk you get a drinkable morning beverage. In the bar, they make you a wonderful coffee but those you pay for unless you go full fare. Kai did the daily animation in the bar with games for the kids and adults. He was wonderful and most enjoyable. Sometimes you meet a truly kind soul in this world and he is one of them. Of course all the staff were most friendly and could speak English, German and Spanish but Kai wraps it all up in one person. The location is really only about a 10 minute walk to a beautiful, clean beach and shopping areas. We would stay here again for sure.
A nice hotel but mainly for Germans with most communication in German although English is spoken. Nice staff but limited facilities and menus. Good position set back a street or so from the main beach. Spa is basic and you have to pay for a ridiculous swim hat and flip flops which is just a way of getting money out of you. You even have to pay for pool towels. Lovely views from top floor. Evening Entertainment was mixed. Room and balcony was good and cycling in the area was good. Lots to see locally and a fabulous beach.
Just spent 2 weeks at this hotel It's in the perfect location We went bed and breakfast, which was great , so much choice The staff were excellent Adult only hotel so was just right for those who want this
The hotel was very comfortable and well situated a block from the beach. The low price included a huge dinner and breakfast buffet. In the evening there was a pop singer in the patio area. The pool are was very pretty. The reception was very friendly and helpful! My only misgiving was that the hotel and the entire area did not seem very authentic and seemed to cater mostly to German and British families on holiday . There were many tacky souvenir shops all around. Still, the beach was nice and had beautiful clear water
Booked this hotel with beat the brochure (avoid them at all cost). Only English in there but hotel was lovely. The grounds are a true delight. Staff were all amazing, so helpful and friendly. Majid on reception was so helpful as were all staff. Lovely and relaxing. Food was very varied and lots of choice. Only downside was it was, as we found out, a hotel used by Germans. Would still come back again. Brilliant :)
We stayed at the Bahia de Alcudia for 3 nights, after staying at the huge Viva Zafira hotel for one night. (we found Viva Zafira to be overbuilt and soulless, thus the move) Bahia de Alcudia has a lovely garden and very helpful front desk staff, including Majid and Cece who both helped us tremendously with ideas for activities and destinations for our teenage kids. The pool was great, though was a little cold due to the unseasonably cool weather. There are planned activities for kids and adults throughout the day. The Thursday night Flamenco dancing performance in the bar area was fantastic. The hotel clients are primarily German, which since we don't speak the language, we weren't able to engage in the enjoyable practice of chatting with our fellow travelers. The buffet breakfast and dinner were very good, with plenty of choices for our one non meat eating family member. The rooms was modern in décor, with comfortable beds and nice views of both the mountains and most have a small view of the sea. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
This hotel may have been 4* during the 1980's but it certainly isn't now. While laying on the bed facing forwards the tv is opposite my right ear .....arrrr I mean where is the logic in that. The hotel is geared mainly for Germans which doesn't matter but all the tv channels are spanish or german, only BBC world news in english. There are NO tea making facilities and you CANNOT hire a kettle and I'm an early riser so I had to wait until 07.45 when breakfast started........it's unbelieveable. And the cups for tea are teeny weeny small espresso sized as well. The toilet was disgusting and the shower leaked into the bedroom area. the place was just NOT clean enough. Sorry I didn't take pics. If you wanted wifi in your room you had to pay 4 EU (per day) and only one machine at a time in the room. SO if (like we had) 2 tablets only one of us could use it at a time. The wifi was free in certain areas of the bar WHEN IT WORKED.......farfing around to get connected took ages. It may have been good enough for the Germans but not clean enough for this British lass.. Would DEFINITELY NOT recommend this hotel.
I have stayed at this hotel many times with family. There were a large number of us and the staff were quick to learn our likes and dislikes (not that there were many). This would ideally be for a quieter hotel than the larger resorts but I must say everything was amazing. The staff are very friendly, the food was great and the entertainment was really good and varied. It is very close to the beach about a 5 minute walk and is also close to other restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again !
Could not recommend the staff and their customer service further - excellent! Food and variety was quite good. Location and pool great. Negative: - the room, which had rather smelly carpets. My daughter has asthma, staying in this room was not even an option. - the loud music at night. Had no interest and was just irritating. Going to bed before 23:30 was not possible. - Onsite Animator did a fantastic job but would have liked some kids activities to keep them occupied, with the exception of the mini disco there was really nothing. - Airconditioning was very poor (this was not in every room the case). - WiFi an absolute disaster, even the paid WiFi simply did not work. In fairness, the hotel explained that this was slow across the island and new lines would be implemented this Autumn. All in all was ok
Location of this hotel is ideal, we used as a base to explore the north of the island. Clean and tidy rooms, public areas are always clean. Restaurant is buffet style but didn't eat in there as we were room only and we prefer to eat out and about. Would certainly use this hotel again
