Stayed here for three nights and the hotel suited our needs very well. The room was large, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was a decent size with an excellent shower and two sinks. We were also lucky enough to have a small balcony at the front with a partial sea view and our own area of the roof terrace on the other side of the room! There was a small fridge where it was possible to store your own drinks and one bottle each of water each was provided initially. Unfortunately we didn't get around to using the pool or spa facilities but these looked nice enough. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. The room and communal areas were cleaned to a high standard. There was a modest amount of noise from the landing area due to the marble floors and some noise due to the lift but nothing more than I'd expect and a lot less than other places I've stayed in. The local Sangria helped me sleep anyway! The location was ideal - close to the stop for the airport bus ('Auditorium'), about a 10 min walk to the Santa Catalina district (lots of tapas bars and restaurants to choose from) and about 20 minutes to the Old Town (either along the Paseo Maritimo with the cathedral in view or via the Santa Catalina area). It was raining one day and a taxi to the latter only cost about 5 euros and took the same amount of minutes. I would stay here again if I was re-visiting Palma.
Recently stayed for a 3 night break. Comfortable room with dressing room/walk in wardrobe and large bathroom. No tea/ coffee facilities. Fridge in room. Airport bus, number 1 stops close to hotel on sea front. Hotel is one street back so find car park lift in between 2 hotels (can't remember their names) to reach the hotel. 5 euros. Lovely bakery close to hotel and other coffee bars for breakfast. Hired bikes from one of the many rental shops on the sea front. 5 euros per day. Pleasant 10 mile seafront cycle path. Disappointed with the lack of local information in the hotel. There were no city maps available. Plenty of leaflets advertising shops/restaurants etc. Hotel was clean and peaceful with interesting artwork throughout.
we had to book here last minute as there was an issue with the flights. we felt really lucky when we arrived. we were in a lovely spacious room with its own large balcony and views over the city. we only stayed the one night and did not eat or drink at the hotel but the room we did have was very nice
I stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend. Wasn't amazing im not gonna lie, the reception people don't speak much English. Parking - states that the hotel has parking but they do not. Room, NO AIR CONDITIONING IN 25 degree heat. asked for a fan but got no answer, no tea or coffee facilities. asked for pool use and they didn't understand and said no WOULDNT STAY AGAIN. WOULDNT RECCOMEND DONT BOTHER THERE ARE MANY OTHER HOTELS TO TRY.
We spent a fair old while deciding where to stay and we're very pleased we ended up at Hotel Armadams. It was very reasonably priced and great base for our trip. Our room - 401 - was massive and very comfortable and we could see the marina. We had some rain on the trip so it was great to be able to go down and have a swim and sauna in the indoor leisure club downstairs. We liked little touches like the art between floors on this staircase. We also loved the fact that Santa Catalina market and all its ace restaurants was only a ten minute stroll away. If we return to Palma we'll come and stay here again...
We selected this 4 stars hotel by chance and it was beyond our expectations. Nice location close to Palma de Mallorca beautiful seafront promenade and a big room with partial sea view, bus stop (going to Plaza de Espana)just outside the entrance, very helpful staff. Who could ask for anything more? We liked it. We enjoyed the stay. Walking distance to the Cathedral and city center. Even bus to the airport was about 300 meters far from hotel.
Stayed here with my daughter for four nights and would definitely stay here again. Lovely big room, comfy bed and a good bathroom withas very nice toiletries. Staff friendly and helpful and it's very well located. A short walk to town and plenty of good restaurants nearby. Great!
Despite the many good features about this 81-room hotel, sadly the lasting memory of our stay here is the noise of banging doors. But first the good points. The location is fine, quite near the harbour. Initial impressions on entering the building, with its marble floor and pleasant reception area, are positive. Wide landing areas on the upper floors are very pleasant and lead off in various directions to rooms and staircases – rather an interesting maze! Our room (110) faced inwards onto a small courtyard, but for privacy we had to keep the curtains closed because there was a public staircase on the opposite side. The room was a good size, with plenty of storage space, comfortable beds, and the best lighting that I have ever had in any hotel – at last I have found a hotel that recognises that some ancient people do actually still want to read the printed word and not just play on their mobiles (there is free reasonably fast wifi in the rooms here, by the way). The bathroom was fine, with two basins, plenty of toiletries and a jacuzzi-bath which worked well. General standards of cleanliness in rooms and around the hotel were pretty good. Buffet breakfast was good (nice to have proper orange juice every morning), with plenty of variety, and efficient and friendly staff on duty. The 10-metre indoor swimming pool was adequate for a bit of exercise, but only half of one of the two jacuzzis appeared to work, and other facilities in the spa area had ‘out of order’ written all over them. Well, it was off-season, I suppose, so we didn’t worry too much about that. Staff at reception were extremely helpful in providing information, but otherwise not particularly friendly or welcoming. Now for the main grumbles. (1) The hotel website states that its rooms are soundproof, which is more or less true between adjacent rooms on the same floor. However, we could hear every small noise coming from the corridor, and the occupants in the room above ours seemed to delight in pounding around the room and scraping furniture along the marble floor at all hours. Worst of all was the door banging at any time of day or night – and there wasn’t even a hen-party or stag-party staying there as far as we could tell. Bang! Bang! Bang, reverberating throughout the floor. This is not really the fault of guests, because the doors are very heavy and difficult to close quietly. There are no spring mechanisms on them to reduce banging and no noise dampers on the doorframes themselves. A pack or two of self-adhesive felt pads from Poundland could solve the problem at virtually no cost! (2) There was no tea-making equipment in the room, not even a kettle. A four-star hotel in 2017 welcoming visitors from overseas without this facility leaves me almost lost for words. There was a fridge, but no min-bar items in it. (3) There was a large TV in the room, but no proper international news or sports channel, such as BBC, CNN or Sky were provided. Again, this is unacceptable for a four-star hotel welcoming foreigners. And sorry, but RT (Russia Today in English) does not count as an acceptable channel! (4) We had a reservation for a double room. We were provided with two single beds shoved together. I have no objection to that - but the beds were fitted with single sheets and blankets!! That constitutes a twin room, just as if the two beds were set apart, not a double. Actually, it didn’t make much difference to old codgers like us, but I suspect younger couples would not have been too happy! (5) The hotel is supposed to be non-smoking, but one day the whole of our corridor reeked of cigar smoke. Guests, or employees, I wonder? The Armadams Hotel certainly didn’t spoil our enjoyable stay in Mallorca, but I am afraid it didn’t enhance it, either, and so we would not stay here again on a future visit.
This hotel is very close to the Airport bus route and is actually on several frequent bus services into the City Centre. The Hotel is very clean and smartly furnished; the staff are extremely helpful. It is really a 4* B&B, though, with an excellent breakfast - both quality and variety. The only other food is from the Room Service Menu which, with a little encouragement, they served to us in the bar. Room Service is only available in the evening. There are restaurants of various cuisines and price range in the vicinity: they are worth the search. Access to and from the waterfront is by a steep set of steps: underneath them - and the road outside the Armadams is an underground car park with a pedestrian lift. Particularly when moving up and down with luggage we recommend using the lift!
Lovely hotel just off the harbour, superb spa facilities, bedroom immaculate (it was bigger than the ground floor of our house), staff incredibly helpful, nothing seemed to much trouble, might not suit people who are'nt mobile, as on a bit of a hill or up some some very steep steps, but otherwise a absolute gem
