My wife & I stayed at hotel Hoposa Uyal for our wedding anniversary, I can't praise the hotel enough, all the staff are a credit to the hotel, nothing is too much trouble & the hotel itself is a very pleasant place to stay. The beach is just across the road with it's golden sand, the town is a short distance and a very pleasant walk in the sunshine. We will stay at this hotel again.
A good hotel in a great location - but not as good as last year! We felt the food was not up to the same standard as last October. This year there was a poorer choice, food was more heavily spiced and salted, especially the watery soup. We stayed for 9 nights, veal was on the menu 7 of those nights. Stews, especially fish stew, were another regular feature. The same desserts also tended to appear night after night. We wondered if this was a case of using up the food from storage before the hotel closes for the season. Other guests we spoke to felt the same. This was very disappointing as the meals had been so good last year. Our bedroom was large and comfortable with a wonderful sea view (Junior Suite) but the one cleaner on the floor did not seem to have the time to clean properly. The room floor and surfaces were often dusty and teabags not replaced. Still a good hotel but standards are slipping.
I visited this hotel about 10 years ago and always wanted to return. The hotel had undergone some improvements in that time. Our standard room with sea view (room 260) was a good size room (compared to modern hotels), nicely furnished in modern, minimalist style with a few 'extras' which I personally appreciated like the tea and coffee making facilities, mini fridge and the usual TV and free safe etc. The bathroom had a large walk in shower, hairdryer, bath robes, toiletries and a 'slow-close' lid on the toilet - all very modern and clean. The resort had a good many cycling clubs visiting and this hotel had a few too - and very well provided for they were too. I am 72 and it took me 20 minutes to stroll to the Pine Walk (centre) along the attractive promenade. I've stayed in a few hotels in Porto de Pollensa and this is one of the nicest, with the excellent beach just across the road. We were very lucky with the October weather, sunny and warm (approx 25C) and no rain. There were 2 nights 'entertainment' (Elvis tribute act and modern jazz musician) and as far as I was concerned that was quite enough. Breakfast was fine - with the usual range of hotel fare but dinner was disappointing both in terms of choice and quality of food. I certainly feel there is room for improvement in this area. Other than that - the hotel was perfect.
This is our 4th visit to the beautiful bay which is Puerto Pollensa. In October it is uncrowned and perfect for a relaxing stay. The Uyal is the 3rd Hoposa hotel we have stayed st in PP and it did not disappoint. We wanted peace and quite and this is. What we got. It is on the. Outer edge of this delightful little place but that's what we wanted. We had a junior suite with a balcony overlooking the sea. We were very happy with the accommodation and service at the hotel. Breakfast and snacks were very good. The evening meal was a little disappointing being quite repetitive and never enough veg for us Brits. The desserts were particularly disappointing as they were bland and more or less the same every night. however, we did enjoy our stay and would go back to the Uyal.
The best hotel in puerta pollensa The food and service is Exceptional The rooms are superb If you are considering a hotel in puerta pollens don't miss out with this hotel We had a fabulous week and will definitely return
Great position...Definitely select sea-facing room. only downside is the lack of imagination of main course at dinner....that was the only criticism....use some more thought, like carvery meats each evening..pork/chicken/lamb/turkey etc..there MUST be an improvement in this area....otherwise very good.....will return especially in October, when the weather is ALWAYS glorious...
Our first time at Uyal Hotel certainly will not be our last if we can, as we see how popular it is the staff were always ready to help in any way the food was excellent our room had a lovely sea view cannot wait to book again for next year.
We have now returned to the Uyal at this time of year five times, and it will not be the last. The staff are always excellent, well trained, and are very attentive - and this is from the Manager down. Nothing is too much trouble. At the same time the hotel has been investing heavily in new facilities with the spa being a great addition and including a Jacuzzi, plunge pool, sauna and steam room - all available at no extra cost to guests. The room we have is the junior suite and this is of generous size with great views out over the beach and coast line from Formentor right around to Alcudia. It is also an easy walk into the main town. A great way to spend a late summer period with temperatures in the mid 20`s, and with a warm sea. The food is buffet style with a wide selection always available. Thoroughly recommended and difficult to fault.
We stayed here for the third time in the Anex 4th floor and once again lovely room balcony and sea views we loved it. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful, dining room is lovely light and airy with friendly helpful staff, breakfast out on the terrace in the morning sun is a must do. Good selection of food for all meals and taste. We are already looking forward to another holiday at the Uyal.
Stayed here for the third time. Last two times were in single rooms which are not great but ok if you are cycling all day. This time we stayed in a junior suite which was perfect, but more expensive. Nice location away from the town centre and close to the beach. Food is good, but not fantastic. Everything is clean and in good condition. Staff are pretty friendly and the facilities are good. I liked the new spa and the bike hire is useful.
