Spent a week here with wife and two young kids recently. Hotel itself is modern and clean and quite central to Port de Pollença itself. Long time visitor and fan of Majorca and can honestly say Port de Pollença is the nicest of the Northern Island towns in that general area. Check in was quick and easy - wifi sign up a bit long winded but got there eventually. Apartment clean fresh and modern with all that you'd expect. Have said this before but not a fan of two single beds pushed together as a 'double' bed which seems to be the norm in alot of hotels now but having said that the bed was comfortable. Was there for both a family holiday but also for swimming and running - have cycled extensively in Majorca in the past but with kids now swimming and running is more time effective. The training pool was very good and the booking system etc via the desk was good once you knew which times of the day to avoid. There were some people who did take liberties as regards staying longer than their allotted hour or jumping lanes etc but these were in the minority. Great general area to go running in also. We went half board and the food on offer in the evenings was average to good - perfectly fine but just lacked something and don't know what. Breakfasts the same. We ended up eating out a couple of the evenings towards the end of the week and to be honest would probably go B&B or self catering if going again due to the quality, range and reasonably priced restaurants locally. The kids pool was fine if not cold (as to be expected this time of year) - we were very disappointed though that there was no kids club or kids entertainment in the evenings - would have thought there would have been something during the Easter holidays. This really took the gloss off the evenings for the kids as we have stayed in Viva hotels for a number of years during Easter hols in Majorca and always had these available. The hotel bar is quite quiet in the evenings. The staff in the main were excellent. Did find the restaurant manager quite stoney faced (think I seen him smile once all week) but the general staff were always pleasant and helpful. Overall a very good hotel and in all honesty I do think I would look at going there again but probably on a self catering basis. The town and laned pool are the clincher here as very very good but I would really like to have seen more for the kids especially during the Easter break.
I've been to the Villa Concha (and the Montelin over the road) about 6-7 times, and it never fails to disappoint. In fact, I'll be back next in May with a large group of athletes, and I can tell you, I can't wait!
Our first time here although we've been to Puerto Pollensa before. The facilities were ideal. The training pool was a real highlight and our room was great. We hadn't realised this was such a training mecca. The staff were all lovely and couldn't have been more helpful or professional. The front-desk staff seemed to work long hours and they were unfailingly polite, friendly and caring. The only slight downside was the booking system for the training pool which caught us out a bit at first. You book at reception and get told what lane you're in - max of 4 to a lane. The pool can get busy at times and a few of the over-active egos got annoyed if they had to share!. Competitive dad worked out if he claimed to be booking for 4 people, his daughter would get a lane to herself (at the busiest time). The sporty version of reserving sun loungers with your towel. Not cool! He had armed himself with a clipboard and was pretending to be a coach and tried to stop us getting in, despite having booked, as she was "training". Yep, and the rest of us aren't. There are plenty quieter times to swim but management should keep an eye on people "working" the pool booking system. Anyway, once we'd got used to how things worked it was fine. We will definitely go back.
Currently staying at the Villa Concho hotel with my husband and small children. We honestly cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Excellent service on arrival and reception discussed all the amenities available to us during our stay. Very clean and regularly maintained so expect high standards. Location is perfect as you literally turn left then left again and you are at the beach. Amenities within our apartment were fab and it is very spacious. It is labelled a sport hotel so there is a training pool, bike shop and local bike trails nearby for those sport enthusiasts. This wasn't our scene but didn't affect our stay at all. In terms of the hotel itself, there are amenities within the room including a hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. There is also two large washers and dryers on site which helped us massively for what we were about to experience. I cannot thank the hotel enough as within 48 hours of us being here, both my children were taken very poorly. The hotel was so quick in organising a doctor to come straight to the hotel, providing additional towels for us whilst waiting for the doctor. Unfortunately they both needed medical attention at the local hospital and the hotel staff arranged our taxis, explained to the driver where we needed to go and were so accommodating. I was concerned about the language barrier but the hotel reassured me the hospital staff were fluent in English. As one of my children was actually admitted to hospital, my husband returned to our hotel with my other son. The staff were amazing upon his return, asked him if he needed anything and just couldn't be more accomodating. This was everyone from reception staff, food and beverage staff and the cleaning staff. When I returned from the hospital, they made sure we had everything we needed, put special orders in at the kitchen to help my son's dietary needs to help him recover and all the staff were asking how he was regularly which was so nice of them. Owe the hotel so much for what was a stressful situation and making me feel at ease about everything. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so friendly. The hotel itself is a child's paradise in terms of having everything on site including indoor soft play, bouncy castle, children's park and separate pool area. Only slight downside is that the pool was freezing as we have come in April so weather isn't as warm but that is the only small issue. We stayed half board so breakfast and evening meal was included. The food itself is very good albeit not masses of choice but suited us fine. If you'd rather eat out locally, the hotel is in perfect spot for a short walk to the restaurants and bars. The pool bar serves excellent food on a lunchtime including a full child's menu as well as burgers and spanish omelettes. My husband and I are already looking at booking up for next year again but with my extended family and their young children. Cannot rate this hotel highly enough.
Very nice hotel with awesome staffs, when you need something or help, they are always there to help us. Room, food, bike shop are excellent. Near of the beach and very nice restaurant around the hotel. Thanks for everything
Staff are very friendly will help you with anything, food is to a high standard and the hotel is very clean too. Plenty off pools for the kids to play in aswell as a gym, sauna etc. The rooms are very big and very clean, balcony is a reasonable size. A very peacefull and tranquil stay and very relaxing too.
i went to villaconcha this was great the staff on reception just couldn't do enough for you there is even free washing and drying in the hotel better than club mac it is so clean you wouldn't believe it the hotel was full to brim and you never heard a soul no fighting for sunbeds theres plenty of them you cannot reserve beds with towels aswell stops anything around pool, seen pool and pool side cleaned every morning and night good kids pools great for family holidays.
We had a poor experience at an apartment block down the road so rocked up on a Wednesday night at 7.30pm desperate for a warm bed for the rest of the holiday. Wish we'd booked this place from the start. The girls on the reception desk couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful - they made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We were there on a cycling holiday so made great use of the bike garage which has tools, laundry facilities, and a bike hire/shop (Bimont) attached to it, who were also incredibly helpful. We had a studio which was spotless and very comfortable. Location for us was great, just round the corner from Tolos, and a few more minutes walk to the other restaurants on the seafront in Port de Pollensa. Did not have food there but the prices looked reasonable and we would have tried it out had we stayed for longer. We'll be back - thank you.
Friendly service, clean rooms, great sport facilities and a very good bike shop right next door! I was there for a training camp and will be back for sure - the training pool is a particularly good feature.
We stayed at Villaconcha a couple of times with our toddler, the hotel is perfect, not to busy, not too quiet, pristine with excellent service and facilities! The beach is a short walk away, can’t fault it.
