First i would like to praise the staff, never before had we met such attentive, pleasant, obliging staff , nothing was to much trouble and always done with a smile. Bettina and all the restaurant staff , Alexandra on reception, Manolo and his team in the pool area which was kept absolutely spotless and Kazia our room cleaner , The bar staff all went above and beyond to help, We had sunbeds reserved for duration of our holiday , positioned near the hoist for my husband who uses a wheelchair, Tables reserved for easy access in the restaurant, our adapted room was perfect , with a lovely view over pool and beach, Having these people do these things make my holiday so much better , as a carer , it takes pressure off me , so thank you all , we had a brilliant time, The hotel is situated right on the beach front , lovely walks to Sillot and further into Callor Millor if you wish ,We had a brilliant evening at Delaneys , good food good entertainment , The food at the hotel was lovely and you could always find something you liked and the desserts are to die for , my diet went out the window . Entertainment was good with Abba tribute , Il Quatro were amazing as was the motown tribute and the Animation team always had something going on , Aquarobics , shooting darts . The thing that struck my husband and i was the peace and quiet , its the first adult only hotel we have stayed in , whilst we have nothing against children , we have six grandchildren , it was so peacefull and relaxing, the only thing we didnt like was the smoking around the pool, if your non smokers it can be unpleasant. Well done Mediterraneao , we will return , Lovely area , lovely hotel , lovely people
We are currently on day 2 of our stay in this hotel. When we saw the hotel from outside, we were stunned how big and beautiful the hotel was. Inside is equally impressive. Friendly and accomodating staff throughout. We were also treated to a free upgrade, having a sea view room with a big terrace. I couldnt fault the hotel itself -- except for the airconditioning in our room. Very warm, we couldnt get the temperature down. I called reception and seconds later a man came up to our room to have it fixed but nothings changed. Thank you to gentleman who came to our room to have the TV fixed -- everything was in German and he kindly fixed the settings so we can watch English movies and shows. As I have been reading the comments, it only reassured me that most of the clientele is German. We are an Asian couple (working in the UK) on holiday for my birthday. We did get a lot of stares. There was even a lady who patted her husband on the arm just to make him look at us. This made us very us uncomfortable. We spent our first night trying out the hotel's buffet dinner. It was a nightmare. Everyone was staring. A man (a hotel guest) even managed to trip himself and spilled all his food on my partner's back -- soaking him wet with soup and whatever sauce that was. Humiliating to say the least. It ruined our evening. We just retreated back to our room upstairs. Now Im reading comments about somebody who also experienced the same uncomfortable stares. I think this is bordering on racism. Such a shame really after we travelled from London, spent 5 days in lovely Barcelona and now spending another 5 days in Mallorca. I guess they are not used to being in the company of people of color.
This hotel is perfectly situated and right on the beach. It caters for all. The rooms are a little bit on the dark side due to the furniture used. The view from our room overlooked the beach and the pool area. The staff were very accommodating and obliging. The lobby is split into 2 levels with the check in desk on the lower floor. It has an indoor pool which is heated and was like walking into a Turkish bath. They hold aqua gym classes in there at various times of the day but that won’t infringe on you if you just want a quick dip. The dining hall is light and airy and the choice for meals is vast and culinary delight. There are at least 3 chefs cooking fresh food every night. The tables are a bit squashed together and it is a bit of a task to meander through from tables to select your food and bring it back. When we were there the hotel had a lot of cyclists who were on a holiday with an organised trip. The entertainment was a bit hit and miss but generally very good. There is activities around the pool all day should you wish to take part but you won’t be forced if you don’t want to do any of them. All in all a good hotel and great spot.
we spend a short break of few days and were very satisfied of the hotel confort, service and facilities. The environment is pleasant and refined, It is right on the promenade and the beach and in the best place of Sa Coma. The quality of food at breakfast and dinner is excellent and the personnel very kind. of course to recommend room with sea view, better if 2nd-3rd floor. The bathroom a little small and the toilet and bath-shower a bit sacrificed. Free wi-fi in all the hotel area.
We are now in our sixth day of a two weeks holiday at the hotel Mediteraneo in Sa Coma. Having just completed the hotel questionnaire over breakfast. We both found it very difficult to fault anything at all. The room on the 4th floor with sea view is fantastic. The reception, food, and entertainment, including day time pool activities are all excellent. At this point I would like to single out one aqua fit instructor Kineta as giving that little extra. There is just one issue that we have being non smokers, which is smoking in the poolside sun bed area. There is a sign of pool rules which states no smoking around the pool area but this is not adhered to or enforced by staff. There are no specifically designated areas for smokers or non smokers and this creates a problem for non smokers. It is most uncomfortable having to breathe in other peoples smoke. Most of the top hotels in the main resorts have designated areas where smoking is permissible and other areas where it is not. This system appears to work fine. As it happens today 24/05/17 the hotel manager was walking around the sun bed area. I managed to speak to him about the smoking issue. I suggested that a dedicated smoking / non smoking area should be created around the poolside sun bed area. He seemed willing to give this suggestion some consideration, remarking it was a good suggestion. We congratulated him on the excellence of his hotel and the efforts of the staff in all areas. We would not hesitate in staying at the hotel Mediteraneo should we visit Majorca again in the future.
We only stayed one night, but weren't happy with it at all. Reading the reviews we had a feeling it would be a great hotel, but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. The outside of the hotel looks nice but the corridors and rooms were very outdated and not 4 stars. Most guests are German so everyone kind of expects you to speak German. The negatives: Our room was cold (visited in April) and there was no possibility to make it warmer as the AC control panel looked like it was a DIY-project. The beds were very hard and the blanket wasn't even inside the duvet covers, it was just regular bedsheets and therefore a bit messy. Also, I do believe most visitors would like to get one large bed instead of two. The bathroom was very outdated and the bath itself was not very welcoming. Safe was for extra charge. Overall the room looked old. At first it was confusing at check-in as there is a separate info desk (looking exactly like reception) for hotel guests and no signs indicating that. The positives: the sea view was very nice and breakfast had many choices, the reception staff also seemed friendly. Free WiFi was included (many hotels in Mallorca charge extra). Not sure what the spa looked like as we didn't have time to visit it but I do hope it is renovated. Overall, if the hotel renovated the rooms it would make it a lot better and actually meet all the positive reviews it has here on Tripadvisor.
4 night stay, and another fantastic break. This hotel just gets better every time. New outside area is beautiful, new seating, outdoor stage area and snack bar. Food quality and choice consistently top notch. Sat in various places in restaurant, staff once again attentive and speedy, all friendly and professional, special mention to Angel, Pilar, Helen, Aaron, Barbara, Marie, Elizabeth, the lovely Bettina always making everyone so welcome, Steffi on reception, Dominic behind the bar and our lovely Adriana who kept our room spotless. Thank you also for tuning our t.v. to English channels, a small gesture after a previous comment, but it proves you take note of comments made. Thank you all once again, looking forward to being back very soon
Our first visit to this hotel and could not fault it. Super facilities for travellers with mobility issues. We were travelling with elderly mother who uses walking aid and we had a table in the restaurant near the buffet reserved for our use the whole holiday. Staff were very helpful and good English spoken. We had rooms directly above the pool with superb views over the beach and out to sea. Would definitely recommend.
Just reiterating what most other people have said: This is a VERY good hotel indeed. Smart, clean modern looking hotel. Quick and easy check-in and check-out. Really nice facilities if you end up having to stay at the hotel after the usual check-out towel: Luggage storage, excellent showers and fresh towels provided. The food is exceptional, both in terms of quality and quantity - You will NOT go hungry even if you are a seriously fussy eater. Who wouldn't want a Baileys Iced Frappe for breakfast? There are more sun-loungers here than i have seen in much larger hotels and the pool itself is of a good size and very clean - in fact everywhere is spotless. The only comment i will make that may be perceived as a negative is that the water temperature in the pool only just prevented ice-cubes from forming on the surface ! I saw many a person dip a toe in and then decide against it. I braved it and didn't regret it once i got past the initial "get me the defibrillator" moment. Every employee i encountered greeted me with a smile and an "ola" from the cleaning staff to the management. There was a varied entertainment program and the on-site activities were also very good. Some people have referenced the "German Occupation" of the hotel. I really don't see this as any sort of negative. Everyone i encountered spoke much better English than i could Spanish and all of the food was clearly labelled in both English and German. Oh, and the Wifi is excellent !! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and thank Hipotels for a very enjoyable stay.
Overall this has been the best experience I have had staying in Spain. The hotel is spot on as far as service, cleanliness and food goes! I visited here my wife to be at the start of the season from 30th April to the 5th May 2017 and I think we will certainly both be returning to this hotel soon! Now for the downside of the hotel, not a lot to say apart from the attitude of a very small group of staff toward the British tourists. I almost got the sense they are happier to look after the larger group of tourists they receive from Germany then those from the U.K. as for the German tourists they themselves are not necessarily a pain they mainly keep themselves to themselves however some of what I can only assume are there customs from home don't translate as acceptable to other tourists, I speak mainly about the hotels spa at this point. Me and my partner decided to spend an afternoon checking out the spa but ended up leaving after only 20 minutes due to the vast number of German tourists who were in there nude. This is something the hotel needs to look into and implement some sort of policy requiring swimsuits to stay on. Other then that the whole of the hotel is amazing and the pool is brilliant (no nudity here! Haa) as well as being so close to the beach, shops and bars in Sa Coma. One member of staff who truly stood out was Christian on the bar! Always looked after me and my fiancée and was very friendly along with the rest of the evening bar team who served us during the hotels nightly entertainment. Overall an excellent holiday and like I have already said. The best experience in Spain Iv had so far. Kieran & Mollie.
