German filled hotel who were quite put out by English speaking people but very good clean hotel. If your not worried by grumpy German tourists which we weren't lovely hotel pool cleaned regular rooms cleaned everyday bar a Monday clean towels beds made happy days!
Do not stay here! Large hotel in good location, but not like the brochure and appalling service provided by an extremely rude team of badly trained staff! The hotel may have most of the amenities you want while the rooms are generously sized. However the place is need of a serious facelift, the design is very late-80s. More concerning was the level of service which was quite frankly shocking. None of the staff were helpful at all, instead acting like every request was an annoying chore and avoiding responsibility for everything. We experienced the sharp end of this in a situation I can only describe as akin to an episode of Poirot. My girlfriend and I were tucked up in bed, when past one o'clock in the morning, we heard the noise of a keycard unlocking our door and someone entering the room. I rushed out of bed to assess the situation only for the guilty party to scupper away. When I confronted reception the first member of staff claimed it must have been the cleaners. At 1:30 in the morning. When I complained again the morning after a staff colleague knew nothing about it, was completely disinterested, and made no move whatsoever and to reassure us or offer any form of compensation. This quickly escalated into a whodunnit scenario whereby a labour hand came to our room to check which card has been used to access our room. This was all for show. Nothing was done and no apology was offered at all. Disgusting treatment!
We are just home from a 9 day stay at the Bahia Grande in Cala Millor. The hotel looks pretty impressive from outside and walking through the doors into reception we were not disappointed. A lovely friendly welcome from reception and we were quickly checked in. We were on the third floor over looking the nature reserve, apartment was very spacious and clean. The beds had memory foam mattresses and were extremely Comfortable. Maid service 6 days a week which again was faultless. We stayed on bed and breakfast - lots of different choices each morning, yes as other reviews say they do cater more for the European clientele so no full English breakfast however we still found plenty to eat each morning and enjoyed it. We can't comment on the in house entertainment as we preferred to explore different options in the local resort. Lots of choice wether you want British Bars (we can highly recommend The Sportsmans or Rose & Crown) or something more traditional. We did the walk round the coast via the castle to Sa Coma - lovely walk round and took us about an hour at a reasonable pace (take water!). We also walked the other way to Cala Bona too and found a lovely restaurant on the top of the resort looking down onto the sea. We used both the indoor and the outdoor pools once - both were perfectly adequate, the outdoor one was a bit on the cold side but then that is to be expected by October. The beach at Cala Millor is lovely and a short 30 second walk away from the back gate of the hotel. The hotel is based on the most southerly point Of the resort, It was about a 15 minute walk along the seafront into the centre of Cala Millor. (Watch out for the cycle lanes marked in red). Overall we had a great holiday, enhanced by the lovely apartment to return to each day and a guaranteed good nights sleep in quiet comfortable surroundings. We would highly recommend to friends and family.
Lovely large hotel and very clean. Rooms very big and a nice touch of towels made out of animals on arrival. We were all inclusive and food was plentiful with lots of choice. The restaurant was very big,so it wasn't crammed at any time. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and helpful. There was snacks and ice creams through out the day. The hotel is situated at the end of the resort so there is about a 15 to. 20 min walk into the lively part. The beach is a couple of min walk which is a lovely beach. The hotel entertainment wasn't great and by 10pm everything had finished. But we did asked the man and woman who was doing the entertainment to put on some music for us, which they kindly did. This hotel was around 90% German guests so the food was geared up for their tastes, but it did offer various other foods. If you love sunbathing then please be aware, this hotel is about 70% in the shade most of the day so not much sun. The swimming pool is not very big and very cold due the the lack of sun on it. Apart from that it is a lovely hotel and I would recommend it.
Very good hotel with nice food. Small pool but mostly children using it. Free slush and ice cream. Friendly staff and entertainment during summer time. The beach is also close to the hotel and you can do activities like caves, hire a bike, horse riding, tours. The hotel organises some of these as well.
Large hotel, very clean, smallish pool, same problem people reserving sun beds, no life guards with lots of young children that needs to be sorted. Good selection of food, mainly German at hotel,so food geared to their taste, but lots to select to suit British taste. Very close to a lovely beach. Rooms are very good, with lounge area and kitchen full fridge etc. All Staff very professional and friendly.great animation team. Quiet end of Cala millor, about 15 minutes walk to centre.
We stayed here for a week during our trip to Mallorca. We had booked a studio but they had run out of them so they gave us an apartment at no extra cost. Both the bedroom and living areas were big . The kitchen was well equipped , even had a kettle. There was also 2 large wardrobes as well as bedside units. Everything in the hotel was very clean and staff were very helpful. The hotel has its own path to the beach which only takes a few minutes to walk to. The hotel is at the far south of the resort so be warned it is about a 15 minute walk to where all the main shops and restaurants are. There was a bus stop just out side but I don't think it was really worth it as the centre of the resort is pedestrianised so a bus wouldn't get you that much closer. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food quality. The hotel also has a nice pool area but due to the position is 50% in shade for most of the day. All in all a very good hotel.
Really great value for money! Paid for breakfast and that was delicious so much choice hot and cold everywhere clean. The room we chose was a studio to keep cost down but we got an apartment which was so comfortable the beds were so comfy! when we arrived all staff were very helpful and pleasant really loved the locality to the beach perfect great place to stay for a 2 night break!
Hotel was given a 4 star rating but was more like a 3 star Pool was only small and not many sun beds available. Food average and more towards German taste. Hotel charged for use of room safe!! and required a deposit for towels, towels could only be changed out every 3 days.
I stayed at this hotel with my wife , 17 year old son and 8 year old daughter from the 23-30 August 2016. The hotel is clean and tidy and is located very close to a lovely beach. The pool is small and is shaded on three sides so can be cold but when you are boiling hot isnt that just what you need to cool off ? The resturant is spacoius and offers a good selection of food (and when you take two fussy eaters the food has to be right to cater for them !!). The staff are very welcoming and polite and (despite some of the reviews mentioning rude staff including one review naming and shaming one chap) are very friendly. The staff are hardworking and are catering for all nationalities which is not easy in a hot climate for proably poor wages. The hotel does have a large number of German guests which seem to force English reviewers into complaining about them being there, are Germans not allowed to go on holiday or is every complainer related to Stan Boardman ? Realistic review summary... Nice hotel great location good food good sized rooms and staff who are a credit to the Hotel. Lastly please explain to me why someone would rate this hotel as terrible as they dont serve Cava or have Self service wine at BREAKFAST ???
