The hotel is okey, but the beds is some of the worst and hardest we ever slept in on vacations. Also heard that many others says the same. Very good food :) The pool is also okey, but too small for all the people that wants sunbeds at the same time. The placememt for the hotell is very good. Short walking to the most of stores, restaurants and beach.
Port d' Alcudia must be the best resort on Majorca with plenty of bars and restaurants, it has a wonderful beach with a walkway running the full length and when you go in the sea you have to go around 50 meters before you get to the deeper water which makes it an ideal place for young children. At the end of the beach there is the statuary harbour which comes with most of the resorts. If you don't want to hire a car there is an excellent bus service at a reasonable price.
It's been a long time since I visited here last. It's a hotel that brings back great memory's for me. Super friendly staff, great entertainment and lovely facilities. They had created an indoor pool, gym and renovated all the rooms. It should be much higher than it is currently at. Was better when I worked there ;-)
We are a family of four, 2 adults, a 5 yr. old and a 2 yr. old. We stayed in an apartment that had a separate bedroom with two single beds that were pushed together, a sofa bed in the lounge and a kitchen area. A good sized bathroom with a shower and double sink. Good storage in both the bedroom and the lounge. Everything nicely renovated. Our first impressions of this hotel were very positive. Good welcome at reception and good English speaking staff. The breakfast staff were excellent and joked around with the kids. The apartment itself was bright, clean and modern. We had requested a room furthest away from the entertainment but as I’m not really sure what rooms our travel agent have assigned to them it was hard to know if this had been full filled. We were given a room on the 3rd floor (316), poolside and slightly over the restaurant. To be honest, the entertainment that was on didn’t bother us in the slightest as the apartment had decent windows/doors out towards that area. Also they always stopped the live entertainment at around 10.30 so it was cool, after that it was just music being played. The soundproofing out towards the hallway was a whole other kettle of fish though. You could hear everything, sounded as though they were in the room with you and every footstep could also be heard. This wasn’t a problem when you were in the bedroom with the door closed but if you used the sofa bed in the lounge then it could be pretty disturbing if you sleep lightly. You could hear the neighbours pretty well too. Kitchen area was adequate for us. We booked breakfast only which was pretty good and ate lunches on our balcony, nice to get out of the sun for a bit, dinners we ate out. Utensil wise it was ok, not amazing. 2 saucepans, 2 frying pans, a kettle, a toaster, two hobs, a small fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave. Cutlery, mugs/glasses and porcelain for five persons, one breadknife. No chopping board which we could have done with. Our kettle didn’t work but a quick chat with reception and a new one was waiting for us when we returned from the beach. Washing up liquid, a cloth and tea towel were provided. Lots of decent TV channels which suited us as it was the Euros whilst we were there. Wifi was included in our stay and was fairly good in our room, fine for just surfing the internet and social media etc. The bedroom was fine, good storage and double balcony doors which opened up onto a large balcony which could also be accessed from the lounge area too. Beds were hard, but that is generally to be expected when in most hotels/apartments in southern Europe I find. They also had wheels on one end of the bed which was pretty annoying as the two single beds that were pushed together drifted apart as soon as you put any weight in the middle. The cot that we booked was waiting for us upon arrival. TV on the wall. Bathroom was really nice, didn’t really see the point in having a double sink, took up unnecessary space and the towel rail that was placed under it was perfectly in line for my 2yr old to hit her head on a few times when she entered. Ended up wrapping a towel round the rail end. Only real complaint here was the hot/cold showering process. Every couple of minutes it went from really hot to really cold, then back to the original temperature. Have to watch that with the kids. They also provided a small bath for a baby to bath in. The cleaning during our stay was ok, they were there every day though it was mostly empty the bin, make the beds and sweep the floor etc. no real complaints. Pool area was well kept, clean and plenty of sunbeds. Though the usual sunbed war was ever present, had to get your towels out before 9am or you can find it tough to get beds together, or like us the need for a parasol as we have small kids. There were signs in the lift stating that you weren’t allowed to reserve sunbeds but this was ignored and the staff didn’t enforce it at all. There is also a small children’s pool with 3 small slides, great addition but unfortunately as others have mentioned freezing cold. Nowhere to buy lunch at a pool bar etc., just drinks, ice-cream. So not so practical if you don’t choose all inclusive. Hotel is situated a bit off the main road, quiet area and quite residential. Beach was about 300m away and took around 5 mins for us to walk it. Spar supermarket opposite the hotel for necessities but I would highly recommend walking 5 mins down the road to Lidls which was excellent and A LOT cheaper. We ate out mainly in the port area of Alcudia and thought the choice there was much better than the other end of Alcudia town. All in all a really good experience. This was probably the first time that we agreed that we could return to the same hotel Travelled 21-28 June.
Invited to stay at the hotel with our (family) group of 10 persons, from 9 years up to 70. An artless, impersonal marble decorated hotel lobby welcomes you. Bedrooms have been refurbished, good modern design and all rooms have a small kitchenette, fridge etc. (Fridge in good size). Staying with all inclusive concept. Only 1 restaurant within hotel where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. This of course puts more pressure on kitchen/hotel to offer variety of dishes. (everything is served in buffet style), this sometimes makes you feel that you are more on a cruise ship than at a restaurant. The ventilation in the hotel is not state of the art so try to get a table outside. However the restaurant offers a wide selection of food in each seating, but this sometime of course compromises the quality of the food. The pool area might be a little bit under dimensioned - It gets very crowded. In true charter style you have to set the alarm in order to secure your sun spot.(putting out towels). The staff in restaurant and bars are friendly. Overall a good stay for family with young kids, the tour operator have a selection of activities for them. I would not recommend this for couple relax trip in a cosy environment. There are other 18+ hotels near the beach which would be more suitable. Short walk to the beach and nearby activities such as Hidropark. For our taste, one week on their all-inclusive concept is enough - we booked some activities outside the hotel which is highly recommended.
Good location near port and beach. Room was modern and functional, but cleaning was terrible. They clean floors only when you give them tip or make a complaint! Pool area was lovely. Very child friendly.
We stayed at this hotel on our vacation in june 2015. The hotel is very modern and the staff was really nice and helpful. We travelled with three kids and one of the older man in the restaurant always came up with something to make them laugh so the dinner experience was always good. Could be a little more variation on the foodbuffet, but overall it was ok. Rooms with a lot of space, and a big and goodlooking bathroom. We would love to come back to this hotel
We arrived in the eveing. Check in was swift. Our 2 room apartment was actually quite excellent. Modern! And with 2 tv's. One in the bedroom and one in the living room. There was a table with chairs in the kitchen and a nice sofa (white leather?) with a table in the living room. The balchony was also quite large and well equipped. The bathroom was also excellent. Nice big shower. Everything modern and clean looking. The water flow from the shower was a bit weak, but I understand that is due to environmental concerns and if so, I can manage :) The one thing we didn't understand about the kitche plates and cups was that the cleaning staff didn't wash them. So there wasn't actually any reason for getting our room tidied up each day, except the occasional new towel. We travelled in a large group of 12 people and we all had All Inclusive. I have been in lots of places in the world and almost every country in Europe, most of them more times too. However... the all-inclusive at this hotel annoyed me: There wasn't a whole lot of variation to the food selections. It wasn't bad. But it wasn't good either. The main man at the dinner, a guy with white hair was just excellent. Pleasant, funny and serviceable. The hotel should cherish this man. We all loved him. The rest of the staff around the bar and dining room was nice but not like this man :) A thing that annoyed me a lot was that on one piece of information we got, it said that the bar was open from 10 to 24. On another it said 11 to 24. Turns out that doesn't actually mean the bar, but a small wooden hut outside, alongside the pool. Not even close to being a good enough offer, or to constitute as a bar. Now, are the Hotel being dishonest or just clumpsy in their communication? I think they are being dishonest. Why? In the main bar, that's when it was opened (at 5 pm accordnig to one employee), they served good drinks up to a certain point. Then they just made a bucket or a container of mixed coctails and served these when we ordered a drink... Really? That's not a coctail. Certain drinks are suppose to be mixed. Other guests who paid got these incredible drinks with umbrellas and stuff. The one time I visited the beach bar (read: hut), I ordered a strawberry milkshake. How did they make this? They had strawberry milk in a plastic bottle and they just put cream on top. No shaking, mixing or anything else. I have stayed at other All Inclusive resorts in Southern Europe and I have paid less and gotten a whole lot more. The food at meal times was just alright, and between meal times was nada! Just a little "snack table" When I pay for All inclusive I Want to be able to get a coffe ( a real coffe from the espresso machines) when I want to. What about the infrastructure? Well, it said Wifi in all rooms. To be fair, the Startour info said the connection could be slow. But at times, it just didn't work. And it could stay like that for an evening. Just totally useless unless you were sitting in the reception. That's kind of annyoing even though they kind of warned us. But I wouldn't write wifi in rooms at all. The more annoying thing is how the reception dealt with me complaining about the internet. One of the female receptionist was clearly annoyed with me having a complaint and decided that "you are the fist one to complain about this" was a reasonable and/or logical argument to serve a paying customer. Enough said. We had bad luck with the weather. Not the hotel's fault. Decided to rent a bike as the hotel informed us that we could do tht with them. Turns out it was easier just to walk out the door and walk 50 meters to the same place as the hotel only phoned them or arranged the rent. The bicycles could'nt be delivered from the bike rental place to the hotel. I am therefore unaware as to why one would use the hotel in this matter.. Some of our travel companions were annoyed by the fact that the hotel informed us that it was not allowed to reserve beach chair with towels before 9 am. Well, that was only bogus. Many people did, and the hotel did nothing about it. They just don't care... obviously. And that is kind of disrespectful. The pool areas were also smaller than what I'm used too, even at lower priced hotels. The positive thing along with the standard of the apartments is the location... There's a a Spar Supermarket 10 meters from the Hotel entrance, there are lots of shops 100 meters more, and the beach (which was EXCELLENT) is only a couple of hundred meters (200-400 m?) away. The location is excellent. For kids, there's not a lot to do there. There was a nice area with two table tennis table (best for older kids) and a few machines. The playground was hidden in a different side of the hotel (there was almost never any kids there). Summed up: not a good deal for the money, and I think the hotel showed us a general tendency towards tricking us into believing stuff they couldn't deliver. Will definetely not be coming back and I will be putting "no wifi" in the end here as offering this bad wifi is the same as No wifi when your market is Northern Europeans.
The hotel was very well placed near centrum and the beach. Rooms were nice and functional. Food at the restaurant was quite ok. Pool area wasn't very big. The personnel at the hotel was very friendly.
A really nice hotel centrally placed in Port Alcudia. The hotel has light and nice rooms and the rest of the hotek is also held in light colours. The staff is helpful and wants to help with your questions. Cleaning is perfest both inside and outside. The food in the restaurant is good but the number of choices were limited. The meny were more or less the same the whole time. This might have been a result of the fact that this was very early in the season and rather few guests. The selfmade orange juice can be highly recommended. During our stay there were quite a few families with children that made a lot of noise most of the day.
