We also recently returned from 10 days at this hotel. It was extremely friendly and welcoming, very clean, excellent food in terms of choice and quality. We agree that the ambience was perfect for those wanting a real chill time. Very near the beach and pool so this was ideal. Option to dine on the terrace and the the dining staff could not have been more enthusiastic but also relaxed. Small beach can get crowded but as so near just choose your time. We had an ad-hoc swim and returned to our sun bed by the pool. Very good location in terms of roads and travel. Bus or car hire at your choice. We used 'Hiper' and they delivered the car to the hotel. Note that it will always be a lot cheaper to book at home in advance but the service is the same. The hotel is not 'tired', just traditional. If you want chrome & cocktails then you really should head to one of the bigger resorts. Many people are returning so that speaks for itself. If you want nightlife then you are also in the wrong place ! We really had an amazing break. Slightly miffed with having to pay for a room safe given 4* but it is insured for 1500 Euro which is a potential benefit. Early morning 'Lounger Lizards' are still in evidence with their towels. This needs to be better managed as it is very selfish and unnecessary. Dress code also needs to tightened up at dinner as there are still the t-shirt and shorts brigade who flout the rules. However, thanks to all the staff at the Molins.
Recently returned from 10 days at this hotel. It was friendly, clean, excellent food, ambience perfect and located so near the beach was perfect. You could dine outside if you wished. The dining staff could not have been more helpful. If the small beach was crowded we just had our swim and returned to our sun bed by the pool. The snorkelling was also very good and you did not have to be out of your depth to see the fish. We also saw a couple of octopus - small ones. We enjoyed the walks from the resort as well. A lovely holiday.
This was our first trip to the hotel, and it was a real surprise. It is set in a bay with shallow water and good bathing, provided the wind direction isn't from the North. The views are wonderful and ever changing. We had truly first class service from the moment we entered from Rafa and Nuno. The bar staff by the poolside were fabulous, Juan and Maria were great, and the restaurant staff, particularly Pedro and Carmen looked after us like royalty. They had a great variety of food, and it was a blend of local and international cuisine. The local wines were a real find, thank you Pedro! Lucy did a great job with the entertainments. The location is great with the beach adjacent to the hotel, and the only minor faults were no tissues in the room, and a slightly faded appearance to the rooms, which are in need of some modernisation. Having said all of that, the hotel management and staff must be commended for the excellent customer service and friendliness. The other guests had all been there many times before and were great company. Thank you for a wonderful 5 day break which truly topped our batteries up & well done!
I know it's been said many times before but this hotel is the top hotel we have ever stayed at. From the minute you are greeted at the entrance by Nuno and the welcome from all the staff it really is like coming back home. The rooms are a good size, all looking over Cala Molins, the food is great with a very good choice for all meals with your own table, or you can eat on the terrace. The sunbathing area has plentiful sunbeds with a nice pool and bar near by. The hotel prides it's self on the cleanliness and hygiene which is very important. We were so pleased that this year there is free wi-fi. We were sorry to leave on our 18th time at the Molins and are looking forward to going back next year. A big THANK YOU to all our friends.
We stayed in a neighbouring hotel (which was lovely) but spent 2 evenings here; first for drinks in the bar and the 2nd night we had a meal. Despite not being guests in the hotel we were welcomed warmly and on the first night we stayed for the entertainment, Susannah who sang Disco classics and who was really excellent. We paid 25 euros for the buffet on the 2nd night and it was absolutely superb. The choice of dishes was incredible and the fresh fish and meats cooked to order all looked wonderful. I had freshly cooked king prawns and they were excellent. I have never seen such a large selection of fruits along side the other dessert options. We also stayed for drinks and the evening’s entertainment and we were welcomed back by entertainment manager Lucy who was an absolute gem. What a lovely person , we watched her encouraging some older guests to dance and taking the time to talk to everyone, she was delightful. The hotel itself looked superb from what we saw and I would have no hesitation about booking here to stay in the future.
To the Molins team thank you for a wonderful holiday. It was fantastic to enjoy the marvellous view of the mountains and sea. So peaceful and relaxing. What a view. The restaurant run superbly by Pedro, he and Jaime remembered every guests name from day 1. The whole team including the chefs were great. Food was excellent with lots of choices, cooked to order. I had a very tender steak. The bar staff were efficient and kind, all in all I have never been in in a hotel with such wonderful staff. Felicia kept our room immaculate. Lucy ensured no one was bored during the day by organising walks through the hills or shuffleboard etc and in the evening different music groups. There was something for everyone. A hard task to do. Only suggestion might be a small lift at the edge of the bar area to help elderly/disabled enjoy the higher level. We hope to see you next May to enjoy the peace and calmness of Molins again, can’t wait! Wish you opened in April
We stayed for a week early October 2017. We found the staff to be excellent. Everyone from Nuno and the team on the front desk to the waiting staff to the boys in the bar were all very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and the room very clean. The view of the bay from our room was wonderful. There is not a lot of nightlife in Cala San Vicente but the hotel put on a variety of entertainment in the evenings.
as usual, the best hospitality and friendliness anywhere, together with great food, great location, and brilliant staff, whom we consider, every year as good friends. This is the fifth consecutive year we have stayed, and intend doing so again next year.
We have stayed at the Molins a number of times over the years.Set on a beautiful cove with great views of the sea from every room. This is a very homely hotel as if back in time in its familiarity.Great friendly helpful staff. The dinner menu has improved this year with a new chef and improved choices at dinner. All staff excellent especially Pedro and his restaurant team.
Very good hotel of its type. Very good location. Excellent staff. Very good facilities. We had a junior suite which was well worth additional cost. Enjoyed tennis and pool. Excellent dining room staff and desk staff. Very clean.
