Review is not easy. We were very satisfied with the hotel and its services. However, the hotel pays for its location, a very noisy neighborhood, which I have never experienced personally - a groups of drunken young Germans, who make an unbelievable mess, at the hotel, on the beach, on the promenade and feel that Mallorca belongs to them. Interestingly, this nation, which devastates a beautiful island, screams at home about problems with immigrants, but it is making the mess much higher abroad - this is probably the current form of a young modern German, who does not allow a single tenth of what he does at home here - home decent, disgusting abroad. Fortunately, when we move a few kilometers further, we find ourselves in a completely different world - civilized people, purity, decency, 2km near the hotel. For all those who want to enjoy a normal holiday, I recommend that they count on the fact that they will go for the evening walks as well as they will probably not use the hotel pool and bar, if you normally hear :) Back to the hotel review: The staff are very trying - very good food (still replenished, no queues), perfect service, willingness, nice communication, recently refurbished and clean rooms. The staff is probably trying to accommodate clients on different floors, according to interests - noisy Germans were in the lower floors, on the top floors were relatively quiet, at least so ... These are all things that made us very pleasant and thank you for it. That's why I give 4 stars, despite the overall environment that deserves only a significantly negative rating...but this is not the fault of the hotel, which also has its own security for the evening, but the drunken Germans almost do not respect it. Tip for Fergus: leave both bars open at the same time, offer only soft drinks in one, and guests who do not want to take part in the German party will have peace, because the Germans will be at the alcohol bar :) The hotel has excellent conditions, divided into two parts, you just have a second lifeguard and a barman, who was there anyway... Others want to swim in the pool and sit in the bar and normally hear the talk. :) Result: I recommend this hotel, however, only those who do not mind the rush, do not look for peace here.
Came back from this hotel on 23/6/17, it is used for large groups of Dutch & German 18-30 holidays. We only spoke to one other English couple the whole of the holiday. The groups start drinking games just after lunch when by tea time are very loud. The room was good but had upgraded, reception staff also very good. Feel sorry for the life guard who is kept on her toes with the pool male games she has no control of & the bar staff serving the drunken groups. Sorry we would never return to this holiday regardless of the price.
We stayed at the Geminis in April over the Easter period, having read the mixed revives I was a bit apprehensive, however, from the movement we arrived I can honestly say, I really do not have got a clue what people have to complain about. The room we had was big on sixth floor and clean. The food was also very good, though we were all inclusive we only had breakfast and dinner, I cannot thought the selection of food all the staff you would expect at Breakfast and same you would expect at dinner e.g. pasta dishes, rice dishes good selection of fish dishes and that there is a bottle of water and red wine on the table. The staff work so hard and they cannot do enough for you. Would defiantly return to this hotel again.
My sister and I are on our last night here. From arriving early and getting our room and all inclusive band straight away, we cannot speak highly enough about the staff, standards, food, cleanliness and proximity. Please don't take any notice of poor reviews as I really think some people are not happy unless they are complaining. The only thing I can agree with on the negatives is there is nothing for children, which is a plus for some people x
On arrivel the staff were fantastic which as the face of the hotel is a good start. Room was clean with comfy beds, only downside was that the air con was not working but we went in April so not the hottest time. Location was fab short walk to the beach and strip, plenty to see and eat. Only issue the street touts trying to sell you stuff, but that's everywhere you go. A good mix of people at the hotel, spoke to loads of people different nationalities. All mealtimes there was a good choice and food was plentiful, fresh and replenished quickly. Staff again at the bar and restaurant very friendly, nothing was to much trouble. A fab 3 nights spent with my friend would return, had a late flight and the hotel stored our suitcases. Let us use the facilities until we left, even let us shower and change, nothing was to much trouble. Thank you all for making our holiday fabulous
Only positive thing about the hotel are the staff. The hotel interiors are dilapidated and causes health issues. Mold infested interiors and bad AC in addition to prehistoric furnishingso. Never again to Fergus
The staff was very nice and also helpful. The food was very Germanized, and in a way every day the same with a different name.. One day we got raw chicken in our lunch pack. Rooms are dirty. Very, very noisy, but not far from Arenal. So if you want to go for a "Ballermann"-Holiday with your friends, surrounded by drunk Germans (I am German myself but this is really hardcore), this is maybe the place to go. Other ways pay a few Euros more and go somewhere nice.
Just back from a stay here. Definitely a 3 star hotel. Positives were the friendly staff, good location to bus stops, restaurants and beach, rooms fairly clean. On the other hand food was very average not a whole lot provided for kids, air conditioning didn't work properly, pool quite small, and hotel generally very noisy throughout the night. The crowds of young Germans were initially very intimidating and took over the hotel. Not for families and I wouldn't stay here again although it was a fairly pleasant experience.
Stayed here for a week as a last minute thing due to being ripped off by lowcost holidays. The positives were the hotel was all inclusive, ok food, ok drinks, friendly staff, daily maid service and 5 minute walk to the beach. The negatives the hotel had nothing for children, no entertainment, and was packed with German and dutch drunks on a lads holiday. The 1st part of the stay had DJ decks by the pool with banging music each day which as a family we found intimidating. This area of El Arenal seemed very dirty with puddles of sick from the yobs and dog poo along the streets from the night before. I would strongly advise families don't stay at this resort.
Arrived at 12.00hrs and told could not have room until 15.00hrs, big sign on reception did state this, so had a bite to eat and a walk round, on our last day sat in reception , German clients were being given there rooms on arrival at 08.30. I would say the hotel is mainly for German tourists and really not for the British , the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Hotel was clean, food was often cold or only warm, had to microwave most meals. Good variety of food but was repetitive. They have large groups of German men only , and the constant shouting all day and night drives you mad, no peace around pool, and definatly not for children, this whole area caterers for mainly Germans , only one bar that sold Cider, will not be visiting this area again.
