Myself and my family stayed at the Lagotel in July 2017. There was 14 of us in total and not may grumbles about the place between us. The Positives: food not one upset stomach in the group which is rare with All inc food. There as plenty of options for breakfast lunch and dinner, the food at the pool bar was also very nice Drinks: self serve beer, wine, sangria, fizzy pop, slush and also blackcurrant cordial. Spirits are available at the main bar and you aren't limited to how many you would like. Pool: we only used the main pool where the entertainment was and this was suitable for everyone (very shallow bits to very deep bits) Sports: the group played football, tennis and mini golf the facilitys are great Low points: the lifts were a bit hit and miss on whether they worked or not Bugs: I know the hotel cannot do anything about this but the mozzis and wasps were rife. The wasps could have been avoided a bit if people put their drink cups and plates in the bins once they were done with them rather than leaving them by the sunloungers all day. I get bit quite bad by mozzis anywhere I go so I just got on with them All in all excellent hotel for what you pay.
Amazing holiday raining ping pong champion of Majorca hopefully I get some more of a challenge next August Games and fun every day got a little repetitive winning everything but that’s why they call me Alex the great
We travelled here with 4 young children in October 2017. We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the 6th floor overlooking the lagoon. The views were stunning! The apartment itself was very spacious, possibly the biggest 2 bed apt I have ever stayed in! Beds were comfortable, location was quiet. Apartments had everything you needed apart from a kettle which we had to hire from reception. We used the pools across the road as the kids seemed to prefer it and it was quieter. Only downside with this hotel is possibly the lack of a splash pool however for the price we paid we really didn't expect anything more. The FREE shuttle bus service to the beach was excellent and it was only on the last night of our holiday we realised it ran at night as well. We could always get on it no problem at all (perhaps due to the time of year) literally 2 mins from the hotel to beach on the bus. The walk itself to the beach isn't far only 10 minutes. Entertainment at night was ok, kids enjoyed it and the bingo was good fun. Mini disco was a favourite with our kids too. We used the laundry at the hotel which was excellent value 4 euros for a wash and 3 euros to dry - we used this twice during our holiday and washed and dried all our holiday washing on the last night while we were enjoying the entertainment. All in all I highly recommend this hotel and would go back again in a heartbeat...very relaxing! Thank you!
We stayed here in May for a week and throughly enjoyed it! The rooms we're a good size and were spotless. Location was good, there was a bus put on to the beach regually but we enjoyed the 10 minute walk to the beach instead. The entertainment team were fantastic, we planned on going out at night but after staying in on the first night and seeing the team..we decided to stay in and enjoy the entertainment every night at the hotel. The food was nice. We enjoyed the breakfast the most, there was a good selection of food to choose from. Dinner time got a little repetitive, but we still managed to find something we liked. There was a great selection of drinks, various spirits, beer and wine. Overall a great holiday.
Visited in June for a relaxed girls trip. Lots of young families but that didn’t bother us. 3 in a room and all the beds were big enough. Sometimes the 3rd one is very small but they were all the same. Sometimes there was a rush in the morning to get the best sun beds. Food was plentiful and okay. Lots of selection to choose from so even a fussy eater should find something. Very clean and staff were friendly. The entertainment was ok. Bingo was a lot of fun! You can get a shuttle to the beach for a change of scenery. Not much a round the resort restaurant wise but we were all inclusive anyway. Overall worth the money we paid.
This has been probably the best holiday we have ever had. We stayed here from 8th - 15th October 2017. Every member of staff from cleaners, bar staff, reception, entertainment, restaurant, lifeguards, were helpful, nice people. We could not fault this hotel on anything at all and did not hear of anyone else having any complaints. Lovely hotel, lovely people. Clean comfortable rooms. The setting of this hotel very relaxing and we were made very welcome throughout our stay from every member of staff. Thomson rep was excellent at her job.
Stayed from 9-16/10/2017, travelled with a friend on a last minute deal with Tui. We weren't convinced about the hotel on arrival - they had left a cold buffet for us when we arrived after midnight, but it wasn't very appealing. However, by the next morning we realised what a great place we had chosen. The breakfast buffet was great - full English plus continental, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, etc. venturing out we found two pool areas, one with entertainment and the other quieter area, Breezers, with two pools. Lunch offered another good variety from which to choose, as did dinner. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to the beach, but we preferred to walk as it's only a 10 minute stroll from Playa de Muro beach, which is a long stretch of sandy beach with clean, shallow water. We went paddle boarding one day for 15 euros. Local buses are cheap, travelling to Can Picafort, Alcudia, Porto Pollenca. Evening entertainment varied, the team clearly had a great rapport with the kids they entertained during the day. Daily bingo was worth about €500 but other guests told us it reaches a daily prize of €1,000 in peak season. We are not usually bingo players, but it added to the fun of a relaxing week. We found the staff extremely courteous and helpful. All in all, we could not fault the hotel. Our room 443 overlooked the pool area, and despite good glazing was noisy at night, but the entertainment finished by midnight so it didn't affect sleep.
Stayed here 7-14th October 2017 and expected a 3* standard but the quality of the food and staff was well beyond that , and the finishing compliment was when we departed at 6-15am they had even made some breakfast provisions, along with the most genuine and helpful night desk man who’s son is on Real Mallorca's books playing that day we left in Palma. ( look forward to going back feel at home with such lovely staff )
Just back from another great stay at the Lagotel. The hotel is located just a 15 minute walk away from the beautiful beach and shops. The hotel provides a shuttle bus on a half hour return in the week and a slightly different schedule at the weekends, a great help after a long day spent at the beach or shopping especially if you have heavy bags or small children. From the moment you check in until you check out, you cannot be better looked after and even if you have any queries before you even arrive they are answered by phone or email, nothing is too much trouble. The reception staff go above and beyond always willing to help you arrange anything you may need, bus times, boat trips, problems with transfers, visits to the doctor nothing is too much trouble and all done with a cheerful smile. Malena the hotel guest service manager is always a visible presence, she greats all guests like they are members of her family, always wearing a beautiful smile she listens to all comments good and bad and acts on them to make sure you have the most enjoyable stay. From the house keepers, restaurant staff and the bar staff they all work exceptionally hard and always greet you with a cheery smile and a greeting. The hotel has some great facilities a lively family pool, the quieter Breezers pool, television room, gym, access to a local doctor, laundry and hair and nail saloon some of these facilities are arranged at reception and extra charges may be payable. The hotel offers you the chance to self cater in the apartments or you can stay on a bed and breakfast basis or fully inclusive. Car and bike hire is available, you can also hire room safes, kettles and irons from reception. The is also a small supermarket on site too. The hotel offers you the chance to take part in lots of daily activities these are usually based round the family pool area and range from pistol shooting to aqua fit. If these don't appeal you can chill out in the quieter Breezers pool where there is plenty of parasols and sunbeds all you need is a good book. I've stayed here now a few times and it's my number 1 hotel in Playa de Muro.
I have just returned from here where I spent a week with my partner. Given how little we paid for this hotel we weren't expecting much but were both pleasantly surprised with the hotel! Food was different every day. Wide variety of choice to choose from and not bad drinks included with the all inclusive. The setting was lovely we had a beautiful view of the lake from our balcony (although this did cause some problems with mosquitos but we were aware of this from reading other reviews) the rooms are large and spacious, we even had an extra room in our room which we used as our luggage and dressing room. Decent bathroom, nice walk in shower, balcony was very big too. All this hotel needs is a bit of paint and some more staff members around but given it's October and not high season this could be why it was a little quiet on the staff front! It is a 10/15 min walk to the beach and shops but there is also a free reliable shuttle service which runs every half hour if you don't fancy the walk. Some nice restaurants near by too. Overall very happy with our stay
