Good start to my stay at this hotel with a glass of cava on arrival and I was soon in room 237 which was the single room that I had booked. The room while nice was just way too small and I went back to reception as they had a sign saying you could upgrade to a poolside room for 10 euros a night and after checking out room 140 I was happy to pay the small extra amount for a much larger room. The room while poolside is kind of below the pool level as the pool area slopes down to the level this room was on. It did have a view of the pool and a useable balcony which I didn’t use. The room was a decent size with a good closet at the entry with some shelves, hanging space and a key operated safe at a good height which I didn’t use. The room had a good sized bed but the side I sept on felt lower than the other side as there was a distinct rise in height as you turned over. There was a long but narrow desk with power outlets above and a fridge and cupboard under. Bedside tables with good lights and more power points. There was also a dining chair and a luggage rack. The bathroom was much bigger than the other room and had a good sized shower and vanity. The shower while a good size had a door that at times was very hard to slide but kept the water in and the shower pan was one of those pressed one piece ceramic affairs. The drain was a constant problem as the cover wasn’t fixed and I was always knocking it out of place. A window in the shower was a nice touch. Breakfast was included and held in a lower ground floor room which was huge and you could also take breakfast on the terrace. They had a good selection of items but the pineapple juice was a joke as it was only coloured water, but most everything else I had was nice and the omelette which they make to order was huge and I couldn’t eat it all. There were two big pools plus a small shallow pool which was probably a children’s pool before it became an adults only hotel. The location is good two short blocks from the seafront and all its restaurants, shops and bars and opposite a huge free car park which I had no problems getting a spot each day during my four night stay. I enjoyed my stay here and I guess it is a cultural difference between Australia and Europe but hotels in these tourist areas seem to be set up so that you never have to leave, they are often all inclusive and have entertainment but it is something that Australians are not accustomed too.
A quickly booked holiday without reading any reviews. The best week iv had in years, the hotel is spotless, that includes the pool, gym, lobby, restaurant and rooms.staff are absolutely fantastic and so attentive.food is absolutely spot on even my vegetarian tastes were catered for.only point,it seems to be geared for Germans,as staff start to speak in German and some signs are German, that goes for the town and beach front too. Again a fantastic break, soon to be repeated.
My 2nd visit to EIX Hotel Alcudia this year. This time I travelled alone. Everything was almost as good as my first visit except the location of my room. I once again had a street view, which I was fine with but I was at the opposite side to the first time I was here. This time I struggled to sleep every night due to what sounded like an alarm / cricket sounding every night once it got dark. I looked so many times to try and work out what the noise was but I could not work out what it was. When I arrived I noticed that the toilet seat had a big crack in it. I reported to reception and it was replaced the next morning. Room was again spotlessly clean and comfortable, Pool area, spa area's all great. Great breakfast with lots of choice. As I was travelling alone I was a bit worried about going out and about on my own. Although I didn't stay out late at night I felt very comfortable walking around the area at all times. Lots of shops and places to eat very near by. I will return again to Alcudia but may try somewhere different to stay only for a change of scene. There is nothing at all wrong with this hotel for a sunshine break!
Visited this hotel 8 - 11 November 2017. 3 nights half board. An excellent experience with a welcome glass of champagne on arrival and a warm welcome from the reception staff. The room was just large enough - overlooking the pool area. Bed was comfortable and plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe. Nice bathroom with walk in shower. Refrigerator and aircon/heating included as well as a flat screen TV. Safe at extra charge. Daily change of towels. We enjoyed 3 breakfasts and 3 evening meals - all buffet with a very good selection on offer. Drinks were very reasonably priced and there was also a happy hour (241) between 5 and 6pm.Hotel is in a very good location with plenty of free parking opposite. Less than 30 minutes walk to Old Alcudia and only 5 minutes walk to the harbour. Free spa facilities available. Plenty of sunbeds and a couple of pools. Adults only hotel so no kids running around which suited us. Checkout was by 12 noon. Many thanks to the Management for a very enjoyable stay. We will certainly return again soon.
Stayed 4 nights. A very enjoyable stay. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Good size room with comfortable bed and good shower in bathroom. Great breakfast, hot and cold buffet, eat as much as you want (perfect start to cycling days in the mountains). Good garage for securing bicycles with card access and wire for use with a lock (needs own lock). Even a good upright bicycle pump in the garage for everyone to use. Some reviews have stated an issue with noise in outward looking rooms, I did not experience this during my stay however I can't comment on this for other more busy times of the year. Overall a very nice experience staying at EIX Alcudia and wouldn't hesitate to book a room here again.
My wife and I have recently returned from a half term holiday in the Alcudia Hotel. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and food pretty good overall and the free wifi worked as well as anywhere we have ever stayed (throughout the whole hotel). We enjoyed great weather in resort, which always helps. We thought the hotel was well located for access to the Marina (where a visit to the Aqua bar/restaurant overlooking the sea is a must for late morning coffee or early beer!) and the absolutely fabulous beach which extends for miles. We visited a local restaurant for lunch which had been recommend by a friend who has had a property in nearby Alcanada for over 25 years. Casa Galetta is just outside the bottom exit of the hotel and was brilliant for lunch (3 courses, bread, olives and a bottle of wine) for just €12 each. Our only criticism is that our room did not overlook the pool where the majority of balconies get a glimpse of the sun during the day. Our room was located opposite a residential property block and was permanently cast in shade. We would definitely go back to the hotel again, but only on the basis that we had a room which overlooked the pool. We stayed on a half board basis and the food, particularly at breakfast, was varied and there was plenty of options, even for fussy eaters. The adult only policy was great for my wife who is a school teacher!
Just back from this hotel after a week travelling with other friends must say its a lovely clean hotel with a central location, on arrival to the hotel the check-in was very slow especially the fact we where the only ones checking in wouldnt like to be checking in during the busy months. Rooms are all clean and a good size only thing about the room was it was facing onto the road which was very noisey. Breakfast was great with a brilliant variety for everyone loved the pancakes and waffles. The bar staff were very friendly and we always had a laugh with them all. For the location of this hotel id return in the future if i was ever in the area again.
We booked this hotel as it was adults-only and did B&B, which is not often an option these days. The resort was not important to us as we had only visited Mallorca once before and were open to where we stayed. The breakfast spread was vast and plentiful and the restaurant staff were very courteous and helpful. Also, the wi-fi was very good and we were able to stream BBC iPlayer radio. However, our stay was spoilt by the location of our room. The hotel building is U-shaped, surrounding a pool on three sides. All the inside facing rooms had balconies that overlooked the pool, however, for every inwards facing room, there was an outwards facing one too and we had one of these! We asked to be moved, but there were no other rooms available as they were fully booked. We were told that pool-view rooms were a EU10/day option at the time of booking. Had we been aware of this when we booked, we probably wouldn't have chosen this hotel. If you plan to spend any time relaxing on your balcony, please ensure you book a pool-view room!
My husband and I have just spent 5 days here and we had a wonderful stay. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic and the food was delicious on every day. The gym/spa area is very quaint and it's location too is good too, as the beach with shops/restaurants and a handful of bars are a just under a 5 minute walk away, with the historic town of Alcúdia being a 20 minute walk away also; we would recommend here as a short break away :)
My wife 7 I just got back from a trip to Alcudia. On the whole, the stay was good. The staff were friendly, the food was excellent. We were treated as friends by the restaurant manager & when we left he gave us both a hug. The only problem was, there is no garden around the hotel. Our room looked out onto the street &, at times, was quite noisy. There were rooms looking onto the pool, but they were not available. Over all we thought it was a good place to stay.
