When I arrived, there was no staff Let me know by phone. How to get into the House no wifi but You can see the landscape of the small neighborhood and In South Korea, could not see the House It's really a place where you can relax 도착했을때 아무도 없어서 당황 전화로 들어가는 법을 알려주었고 와이파이는 없었다 하지만 작은 동네를 볼수 있었고 한국에선 볼 수 없는 곳 정말 쉬고 싶을때 가세요
If you don´t look for beaches close by and prefer to be in a rural smalltown with not many touristic facilities - it´s a vy nice place. It´s perfect for people who explore the island on bicycles We had a very big room with steps from the nice yard to the first floor and enjoyed our staying. The TV showed german programms and the bathroom has all you need. The pool is small but ok. The breakfast is also ok. You just have to get along with the fact that - apart from the morning - there is no one there during the afternoon and the evening. The keycard was placed at the entrance in a box that you need to open with a code. This code they tell you on the phone. That´s a bit weird. Also sometimes it´s not easy to get a parking lot close by.
The staff was very friendly, the pool is godsend in the heat of August. Room are quiet and good sized. Town is very calm with a couple restaurants on the main plaza and hundred meters from hotel. A nice placebo get away from tourist traps of the island.
The property is quaint but it just lacks a bit of soul. It is certainly not what I would classify as a "boutique" experience and for the prices they are charging it should be!. Don't get me wrong there is loads of potential, the pool and the rooms are lovely but they need to sharpen things up(including the service). We are not normally fussy but felt a bit ripped off, especially as we had no hot water for the duration of our stay due to a plumbing issue.
Been to the Hotel before we went on to a rented Finca. The Hotel is quite stylished designed and seems to be recently renovated. It is located at the crossing of the main roads in Algaida making it quite noisy. Right and left are some rural properties - means as soon as you look over the hotel premises-wall it looks very ugly We had a room reserved for late checkin and were promised it would be ready. Sadly the deposited room key did not work and we had to negotiate (!) with the staff to come in. At a quarter past ten with two small kids after a good day of travelling we could not believe it. They then promised to be there in 30min. After more than an hour they arrived with no word of excuse and opened our room which we found NOT setup with the extra bed (30Euros) . All in all we were in our room half an hour after midnight for a sleep. The hotel and location is rather mediocre. This also holds true for the acclaimed breakfast. Coffee from a sirop-machine, sweating cheese and sausages (no cooling). At the checkout they tried to charge for the extra bed which we had already paid for during our reservation. This then led to a lengthy discussion which was very difficult as I only speak some spanish and they do not speak any other language. A day later I recognized that I forgot to pack 3 dress shirts in the room. A day later I went back to pick up the shirts - as I thought. The lady was very defensive and claimed there had be no shirts in the room at all.. As I asked a friend to join in - he speaks fluent spanish - they became very aggressive and denied any support. All in all one of the worst hotel stays ever ! - Service is an unknown territory for them.
This is a lovely peaceful hotel geared to adults who want to relax and unwind. Its extremely tasteful with a small number of beautifully decorated bedrooms and public rooms. Theres a small courtyard which is perfect for breakfast or an early evening drink, then a light and airy breakfast room which doubles for evening meals booked on request. Behind that is a small but perfect (unheated) pool set in a garden with orange and lemon trees and herbs. As others have said, breakfast is superb and the one evening meal we had was also delicious (e50 for 2 inc wine). We loved the honesty bar which added to the relaxed feel of the place and there were always enough sunbeds with none of that towel nonsense you get in big hotels! Algaida is a small country town with a handful of ok restaurants around the square yet only 30 mins or so on the very cheap bus (actually a comfy coach) to Palma. We also took the bus/coach to the coast -Porto Colom -nice for a stroll round the marina and pleasant harbour-side cafes. We had some lovely walks along the country lanes from Algaida-its very green, lots of market gardens, fields, wild flowers, herbs, pigs, chickens and friendly dogs!. Virtually no traffic though cycling is very popular. Best food is at '4 Vents' (4 Winds) - turn left out of the hotel, walk straight along the road past the lovely windmill to a t-junction.4 Vents is on the left. Its not cheap but best if you like good food or want a romantic atmosphere. This is a proper country town where people really do keep hens and goats in their back garden (just look over the wall from the pool) so anyone who complains about cockerels crowing is staying in the wrong place. The only downside for us was not being able to get a transfer to the hotel-despite booking one on Travel Republic! This cost us e40 each way by taxi-not cheap -so a car is a better option if you plan to stay longer than a few days as the bus only goes to Palma in one direction and Porto Colom in the other. The staff have virtually no English so be patient and try out your few words of Spanish!
I stayed in this hotel at the end of July with my girlfriend for four nights to spend a little time together after a family holiday in porsto cristo. I have used trip advisor for years and this is my first ever review as i felt it deserved it so much. The town it's self is an old school style sleepy Mallorca town, really enjoyable to walk around and explore - there's a few shops and cafes and a pretty nice Spanish pub - you can soak up some serious Spanish culture - There's not too much else to do in the town that I could see, but Palma and other areas are just a short drive and I was wasn't here to be beaching or shopping. The hotel itself was Astounding for the value.. the hotel is a quaint little family run converted mansion that blends in seamlessly with the rest of the town... once in side the hotel has an amazing atmosphere, all original beam and very "Mallorcan homely". The lady on the desk's English wasn't so great but they were more than helpful. The room itself and bathroom were superb! by far the best hotel room I have stayed in in the last few years. The room was huge and beautifully decorated... very homely The bed was ridiculously big and comfy... and the walk in wet room and bath was great with a bottle of champagne from the bar... which is well stocked and open all night since they trust you to record what you take which is a pleasingly rare courtesy no days. The set meal for $20 is highly recommended, the eating area itself is very romantic with out 4 or 5 tables in the courtyard under candle light. The food was incredible and clearly home cooked. Michelin star stuff! We paid for it every night and it was a different menu each time. The breakfast was just as good! huge selection of everything hot cold sweet fruit cake juice cereal the works and there's free tea and coffee all day from the machine. The pool area was a more of a greek theme but was really nice and relaxing lovely to chillout around during the day and a few orange trees dotted around. My only bad mark was that the pool could have been a little cleaner but I wasn't fussed... really enjoyable when you've just spent a week round pools full of screaming kids! Highly highly recommended for couple of all ages... thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my stay here.
Everything about this small hotel is class from the honesty bar to the fantastic buffet style breakfast. We stayed as part of the combined hotel stay package, This included stays at 2 of the groups other hotels (all of which were great) But this was the perfect place for my wife and I to enjoy our honeymoon. The staff were attentive but low key and our room was huge with a massive bed and sofa. We will certainly be coming back to this hotel in the future.
The hotel is beautifully situated in the small/quiet village of Algaida, about 20-25 minutes taxi ride from Palma international airport, which will cost you around 30Euros. It's new and well appointed, but doesn't lose any of its charm with traditional Spanish brick-work interiors, and central courtyard dining area, much in-keeping with the surrounding area. The owners have spent a lot of money giving you high spec bedrooms with high ceilings and spacious bathrooms, there really wasn't anything you could point fault at. The pool is small, but ample, with plenty of shaded areas to lounge around during the day, and again really fits in with the surroundings. Breakfast was superb, with cold and hot dishes, lots of fresh fruit and pasteries prepared that morning. During our 3 day (4 night) stay we ate at 3 restraunts in Algaida, 'Es 4 Vents', has excellent food, though priced accordingly (4 mains, 2 bottles of wine approx 110Euros), 'Cal Dimoni' cheaper, but the food was average, and 'Es Repic' which is just off the main square, tucked away by the church, which was arguably the best value for money, 4 mains, 2 bottles of wine and 2 deserts coming to about 60 Euros, and it all tasted great! there isn't a whole lot going on in Algaida, which is why we chose the place, prefering to be away from the bustling beach fronts around Palma, though we did take a day trip to Palma centre and Arenal beach on the second day, for a dip in the sea etc..There is a bus that runs from Algaida to Palma centre at 8.35, 10.10, 12:00, 14:05, 15:45 & 19:55 and comes back about an hour later than those times, except for the last one, the last bus back to Algaida is 20:35. A return ticket is about 2.50Euros return, it takes about 35-40min (no stops) and is air-conditioned. The only other direct routes from Algaida are to Felanitx, P.Colom & Algaida-Montuiri-Porreres. If you're thinking of doing more exploring, you'd perhaps want to consider a hire car, since relying on taxis would prove expensive. There is a small market on Friday morning in Algaida, with some clothing stalls, fruit an veg, but that was about it. The local bars/cafes, of which there's perhaps 5 or 6 looking onto the 'square', all stay open till a reasonable time and have seating outside to enjoy the relaxed/friendly atmosphere with the locals. A really excellent hotel and location for a peaceful relaxing short-break/holiday.
it is a great new place , everything is working perfectly , and it is well-done until small details starts from excellent breakfast that you can have inside or outside in small garden near the swimming pool , very nice bathroom area and huge bed . the service is also very nice - highly recommended. we will come back for sure
