Beautiful Hotel with excellent and professional staff! The Food is a dream! You have choice of different restaurants for dinner, I recommend them to all. My favourite was he Cretan Restaurant, there was a hard authentic atmosphere. Thank you for the super family holiday!!
This is the third time that we (my wife and I) have stayed at the Cretan Malia Park, but the first since the hotel has had its make-over to the main lobby area, dining areas and bedrooms. We have always been struck by the beautifully maintained gardens and the overall quiet relaxing feel of the hotel. As ever, the food was excellent, with an extensive choice, while to option to eat in the Italian Restaurant (Almyra) and the Cretan Restaurant (Mouries) only adds to the variety. The selection of wines in both of these restaurants is really good, with some exceptionally good Greek wine on offer. My only complaint about the freshly prepared food in Mouries, was that there was too much of it - the starter would have done me as a main ! The make-over in the lobby area has really revived the overall appearance. It is peaceful, cool and relaxing with really nice touches to the furnishing. At the beautifully maintained pool, the innovation of the bar and barbeque once again gives an extra choice of grilled food, gyros, burgers etc. if you don’t fancy the short walk to the main dining area. At the beach, the bar there too has been superbly up-dated and it is all too easy to sit comfortably in the cool of the evening, sipping the drink of your choice and listening to the waves. On the hotel’s private beach itself, during the day, there is ample space, no rush for the new sun beds that are always available, no matter what time of day you go. The staff are superb, the rooms are meticulously maintained, waiting staff extremely attentive and you are always met with a friendly smile from all, while any questions are quickly answered and problems or requests similarly resolved. Tell your friends you are going to Malia, they will think you are mad – “all that noise and partying!” , but head here to this oasis. Once again we have left the Malia Park, refreshed and relaxed, regretting that we didn’t stay longer than the ten days we booked, but resolved once again to return to this peaceful retreat.
Booked this restore but sure what to expect as I have read many unsatisfactory review and how unfriendly the staff are also how the place is full or Germans. Well first thing I would like to say is the people were very lovely and warm. The staff where always ready to help. From the moment we arrive this little heaven I was blown away by the standard ( I am a very fussy person when it comes to hotel it’s got to be 5 stars) so please believe me when I tell you it’s a beautiful place for couples, friends, family with as many children as possible. We’re where greeted warmly as our flight was really late they carted to us by reserving food for my family (2kids) from that moment I loved the restored, I mean we arrived about 12:30ish. Our rooms was stunning all updated interiors as I am very pickie on interiors. I really took my time to look at the lobby, toilets, restaurants, crèch(modern, a creative centre for kids also the lady there is amazing) the swimming pool are always been cleaned everyday so no dirt. The beach i would say is private as it’s exclusive to the restored can’t be used by locals which for me was a big plus. There are three beautiful restaurants in this heaven all three test delicious and clean standards. We mainly eat at Mediterranean one because it’s buffet and my kids enjoyed the desert everyday. The restored had many activities qfrom yoga to aqua polo, volleyball, massage, gym, there was a theme every night. The crèche is a safe place to leave the kids all day if you want my girl was always happy to be at the crèche I was always happy to leave her there. The kids party was lovely for the children and even the teens party and adult entertainments were wonderful. Oh yes my husband and I also had a massage it was the Creteian massage it was wonderful as I wasn’t sure my by husband and I were so happy we did. I could go on and on about this place I can tell you and keep you at rest that the Crete Maila Park is a wonderful, stunning place to visit in Greece. I want to also say a special thank you to all the staff and the lady at the front desk who helped with our baggage as we forgot one in the front desk. She sent it to in a taxi to straight to the airport as my husband wouldn’t have been able to fly aqall his document where in there. Thank you to that wonderful lady. Also to Agnes at the Crèche what can I say the little 7days went by so quickly. Your energy is infectious and my little girl cried as we said goodbye. You love what you do and thank for looking after the kids at the park. To the bar guys at the Lobby you guys rock the drinks every night where tasty and delicious you guys were wonderful. The kitchen staff and the chef I may not have known or seen thank you for all the delicious meal you made and all these food I ate without tommy ache or food poison. I say a big thank you. Oh I forgot to mention we also got an upgrade to the presidential suite (the biggest and best view in the restore). Also we meet another lovely family from Belgium we click and they have now become our good friends The Jolapamo have found a new heaven in Crete. We will be returning.
A little gem away from the madness of Malia, the hotel was just lovely. We were in a garden room which was suitable for three adults but half way through the holiday we were offered an upgrade to a suite, that was very nice, beds, rooms decorated beautifully . The restaurants were very good, our favourite being the Cretan where we were looked after incredibly well by Xenia and Manolis , the food prepared for us was incredible, fresh local produce . The entertainment staff worked very hard with great enthusiasm led by Niamh who had an everlasting smile , the barman YANNY who should be part of the team 😊 I must say all staff looked after us incredibly well. We will return ... I hope
It has been a great stay at Cretan Malia Park! We have truly enjoyed the delicious food, the nice beach area, comfortable and clean bungalow rooms. The staff was very polite and helpful. We will definitely visit this hotel again!
Really lovely hotel. Excellent staff who do everything they can to make sure you enjoy your holiday. Food is of a very good standard, particularly the excellent buffet breakfast. Choice of different restaurants for dinner, some with a charge, depending on your package, would recommend them all. Rooms are all refurbished, lovely and clean with toiletries replenished daily. Good hairdryer! There are a couple of bars locally if you want to walk out but it’s a quiet location on the whole. Plenty of sun beds around the grounds, which you can move around to suit your needs, sun or shade. Beach is lovely and clean with ample sun beds around. Overall a lovely holiday if you’re looking for peace and time to relax, would recommend.
We were never so impressed by the personal. They were very careful, kind, friendly and available at all times. The room was also clean and beautiful, just like in the photos. There was also a big variety regarding the food at all meals. Every evening, they brought talented groups for entertaining and we also had the chance to dance with them and learn their traditional dances. Additionally, we both got a coupon for a free 15 min massage. They let us pair it with other massages from their catalog. The spa team, who did our massages, was very professional and they made us feel relaxed. Overall it was an amazing experience, we left really relaxed and we're looking forward to visiting again.
As a morning visitor, I couldn't buy single coffee - even though the breakfast buffet was in full swing. Seriously? (The problem, apparently, was that the different bars weren't open yet...) Nice, well-kept area though
Amazing place to stay for people, who are searching for conscious and friendly environment, great food and nature. This year our family visited Cretan Malia Park for second time and we'll come back again for sure! Warm wishes from us - lithuanian family! 🇱🇹
By and large, we enjoyed being at the Cretan Malia Park. The hotel is nice and has direct access to the beach, rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is friendly, the sports and entertainment offers are good, so is the buffet. Yes, there are a few things that one could complain about (TV was broken etc.) but overall, we were enjoying our family vacations. Let me add that the staff - as most Greek people - are also quite kids-friendly. There is a however a "however". One morning, we were asked by the Hotel Director to see him. He informed us that our neighbors complained about us being too noisy which left me surprised, yet puzzled. We have a small daughter who sleeps from 8pm to 7am straight. Of course, if she is awake, her parents are too. And yes, kids, do talk and do not care too much about their surroundings. But we did not play loud music, she did not wake up during the night and she did not cry once. I think having a room next to a small child could be worse. But yes, she might have been singing and 7am and talking about what she had experienced and we certainly did talk to her too then. I generally have sympathy for people who have a different rythm and do not like to be waken up by a small child at 7am screaming: Mum, can we go to the pool now? The issue is that we were told off by the Director, but nobody offered a solution. He apologized saying that he was obliged to tell us about the complaint. I do not agree. He was obliged to address the problem and find a solution in the interest of everybody (including the child), but please do not just put the blame on somebody else. Apparently, our neighbors were not willing to move, so we offered to move instead. Unfortunately, there were no rooms available we could move to. Instead, we were told to keep our voices down until 8am or "whenever our neighbors go to breakfast". Unfortunately, that episode left us quite uncomfortable and disturbed our otherwise nice holidays. I hope that issues like that - that just happen when you are travelling with kids - are solved differently in the future.
