We had a wonderful time last November at this hotel. Service as excellent, whether at breakfast buffet or at room service level, or at any of the hotel restaurants. Service was consistent and up to everyone's expectation. Rooms with Pools have the largest indoor pool we have seen in Maldives. Hotel has a nice terrace especially at sunset however, there is a huge eyesore composed of a row of luxury water bungalows blocking the view of onlookers.
Just returned from 6 days at Jumeirah Vittaveli. stayed in room 302 over the water. WOOOOOOOOOOW !!!! The staff are impeccable and cannot do enough for you. The food selection was outstanding and caters to all tastes. The room was spacious, fabulous bathroom, private infinity pool, deck with access to the ocean, the view was fantastic. I also completed a bucket list and went diving for the first time via the onsite Dive Center (10 stars), I attended resort course and then a reef dive.... Highly recommended ask for Emily or Juhee, Trevor is the Master instructor. Lots of onsite activities some are free some are additional... Bars have happy hours (check timings) but food can be pricy (check inclusive package pricing)
We had the pleasure of spending 4 nights in a water villa.. absolutely brilliant. Besides a wonderful location I was most impressed by the extreme level of customer experience, specifically from Simmi and her team as well as Monaj who showed personal engagement in Samsarah restaurant. Thanks team you made our stay memorable and will be back. Steve and the Best divers team (JuHie) are so professional and run a professional and friendly dive operation. Look forward to be back soon!
We stayed at the other Jumeirah first and were so impressed, we then moved to the Vittaveli for our last 3 nights, mainly because we wanted to see the difference between the two resorts. The catamaran from the mainland to the hotel is lovely, the most annoying in both hotels is waiting for other guests to arrive to fill the boat before leaving the airport. It is important to point out that the other Jumeirah in the maldives has a much more personal and individual approach due to it being a lot smaller resort. When we arrived we were disappointed with our welcome, we did feel for him but our temporary villa host was clearly having issues with another guest and instead of welcoming us to the hotel and explaining the surroundings he kept answering his phone and was all over the place. We did feel for him that he was having issues but it wasn't the best start for us after coming from such incredible service at the Jumeriah D. We then got to our water villa, we were really unimpressed after the other Jumeirah, decking was really old and dated, the villas are not very private. We got our new villa host, Malik, who was lovely, we told him we weren't happy so he showed us the beach villas and the ocean suites, beach villa was a downgrade but the rooms are so much nicer, the ocean suites were an upgrade which we kindly received complimentary, we were in 802 and this had just been refurbished, thank goodness as the other ones we could see when swimming were really tired and dated looking. However we were very impressed with our recently rennovated suite, if we were shown the old one we would've gone for the beach villa for sure. The new ones were lovely glass bottom floors, hammock over the sea and lots of space! The resort its definitely for families, we enjoyed the experience but was not what we wanted for our honeymoon at all, there is loads of kids and to be honest we would consider taking ours one day as the facilities for the kids looks amazing! But as a couple not for us. The jet skiing is poor you can only go right outside were the sports centre is and the water isn't as clear as it was the other hotel so we felt the snorkelling was really poor in comparison. The spa was nice we had treatments here too, I had hot stone massage was good but not as good as the other Jumeirah and my husband had an aftersun treatment which he said was a waste of time and money. The staff are really friendly and we met with the operations manager who was really great and apologised for the troubles we had and spent time chatting to us which we really appreciated. The chef in Mu grill was amazing, we had a bad steak the first night and the chef bought us some amazing kobi beef, we continued to eat there and have incredible service for the rest of our stay. Staff in general are very helpful and nothing is too much to ask. The average review for us is more based on the dated water villas, initial welcome, not being a honeymoon choice as more family based, not the hotels fault but just a bad choice from our side. Photos are very deceiving of the hotel from the website as they were taken when it was brand new and now it is 6 years on and the majority of the accommodation is worse for wear, look at travellers real photos. We looked at the Royal Residences as well which are new and at 30,000USD a night we have seen better options for when travelling with our family.
Room was way beyond our expectation. It was big and lovely, but downfall is some of the doors has rust and looks old already. *A Variety of food delicacies you can choose from in all the restaurant and we cant get enough about this chocolate soul that we use to have in our room. *Breakfast has different kind of selections.Amol used to make a perfect omellette for us and his partner Norbelyn makes the best mouthwatering desserts😘. We also love our Dinner in Mu grill thanks to the Chef in charge who came to our table to explain fully all of the dishes and gave us a very special tiramisu dessert. Everyone is very hospitable and you will really feel at home. Thanks to each and every person who made our stay memorable at this wonderful hotel 😍
كانت افضل تجربه لي في عالم الفنادق. الكمال في كل التفاصيل في الخدمة وأصناف الطعام الممتازة والفيلا التي هي على البحر الصراحه كان استرخاء في جنة على هذي الارض Thanks to all Jumeirah staff (Nashid, Chef Arif the juice maker and Chef Norbelyn for the pictures and everyday desserts ) You made our stay an incredible and unforgettable experience.
This is our 4th time visiting Maldives, but first time with our young baby. We do not regret choosing JV island! Overall we really enjoyed the stay, special thanks for those who took very good care of our young baby. They prepared food the way we asked them to, smiled and played with our baby a lot during meal times. They also provided a good cot for the baby to sleep in. It is a quick trip from Male to the resort, which is a plus when you travel with infant. We stayed at the beach villa which is nice to have a swimming pool and we do not really need to go outside. The only downside is facility, I felt overall facility is a bit dated, including the spa (but still a very good massage I had). If you are a family, Jumeirah is a very good choice.
Was lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay the weekend with friends at Vittaveli and were not disappointed by our choice. We stayed in a Beach villa and absolutely loved the pool and the well appointed room. One thing I do have to mention which was completely above and beyond was the grace and professionalism with which every member of staff dealt with a sudden violent storm. Well done to all and thank you so much for your hospitality during our stay
We went for our honeymoon at Jumeirah Vitavelli in Feb 2017.. right from the beginning of our stay at the resort till the last minute.. everything went just so awesome.. the stay. The rooms. The food. The hospitality. Everything was class apart.. the management did take care of every small thing that we needed.. there was nothing that was not possible from their side. Some special people to mention. Ahmed from the reservation team. Very very helpful and co-operative.. Manoj the chef.. nothing is impossible for this person at any hour of the day. Thanks for the awesome food.. Bharat Kapoor.. dude I never had such an awesome Indian food what I had with you.. Sajesh.. he has a yes for anything you ask for.. Saurav Chakraborty and Jatin Singh thanks for fulfilling special requests.. our assistant Salim.. thanks for all the help that you extended.. we stayed both at the beach villa and the water villa. Both these categories had its own Charm.. the in house reef is really good both for snorkelling and diving... the water sports were worth doing and the staff at the best dives were really cooperative and helpful.. in the end just one word.. you guys have made my trip really memorable and would really love and wish to visit again.. it was a memorable trip for us..
We stayed at Vittaveli in one of their amazing Water Villas with infinity pool overlooking the ocean and the had a memorable time there. -The staff is very professional and nice, one of the best staff teams I have met in the Maldives. - The water villa was too dreamy, the pool is absolutely amazing, the room is huge and has all the luxury facilities. - The restaurants at Vittaveli are super good. One of the best gastronomy experiences I have had in the Maldives. Special thanks to Ravi and Chef Bharat from Swarna Indian restaurant. They were amazing and the foodie experience at Swarna is a must for all people who appreciate an exquisite dinner. - The range of activities and water sports is very wide and interesting. They really have the most amazing experiences like semi submarine, local fishing etc. Things that I've never seen in other Resorts. - It takes only 20 minutes by boat from Male's Airport to get there, which is great because you can make the most of your time there. Special thanks to the MKT and PR Team managed by Tina. She is an amazing professional, she took care of all the details and made us feel at home. I would certainly recommend Vittaveli it and I hope to come back soon!
