This is my second time visiting Jumeirah, my first experience was back in August 2016. My visit at that time had some issues but I thought I will give it another chance and I was spot on! The staff went out of their way to make the experience for my family amazing and I have a 7 month old, a 5 year old and a 9 year old. Dive center staff were very helpful and gave us discounts which was something we didn't expect and we highly appreciate it. The food was very delicious at the outlets but the Indian restaurant tops them all. The spa is a must and they also have massage sessions for children and babies! Special thanks to Salman who made the stay a memorable one. Villa 905 is amazing for families and close to the spa and dive center.
I have never really been one for beach holidays, preferring more action and adventure but, 2 small children later, I find myself looking for destinations with fewer volcanos and more kids' clubs. My wife and I had never been to The Maldives before and the choice of high-end resorts was somewhat overwhelming. Three things helped us settle on Jumeirah: 1. Some friends of ours have been here over New Year for 5 out of the last 6 years. At this price point, that kind of loyalty needs to be respected in my opinion. 2. The kids' club accepts children as young as 3 without a babysitter or parent and all ages if accompanied. 3. The island is a 20m boat ride from Male and, with a 3.5yo and a 6mo, not having to take a further sea plane at the end of a long flight was a consideration. We flew business class and bizarrely the Club cabin was packed and Economy practically empty. I am not sure that, with 2 infants, I would risk booking Economy on the hope of a similar distribution but, if I was travelling alone or just with my wife, I would consider it. In any case, on arrival we were greeted at the airport by the Jumeirah staff and taken to an air-conditioned arrival suite to await some further guests prior to our boat departure. The waiting time was very reasonable and the facilities comfortable if not luxurious. As soon as we arrived at the resort it was clear that we had made the right choice. It is quite clear that a LOT of money has been spent making the resort as beautiful as it is. The communal areas are very tastefully built with an Ibiza day-club feel without the ostentatious vibe. We were told that the resort was at 85% capacity although it would be very difficult to tell as there were always plenty of day-beds, tables etc. It is perhaps that a lot of people choose to spend their time in their villas and this can be forgiven. The villas are very well equipped and spacious, each coming with its own very generous pool and beach access. I go to the gym every morning and, quite often, the exercise facilities are an after thought and nothing more than a rickety tread in a shaded hut. Not here. There is a very well put together gym that should be able to satisfy all fitness levels. The on-site trainer is highly knowledgeable, very approachable and extremely friendly. The kids club is amazing as are all the staff there. Our 3.5yo does not settle very quickly usually and this can be at the expense of her parents! The carers here were so friendly fun and engaging that she was begging us to go to the kids' club every day. This was a very welcome change! The variety of restaurants is great and in 9 nights we only visited 3 of the 4. This should tell you that we did not tire of the available options. The staff are generally extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. Sometimes at this price point the service can feel forced and obsequious but certainly not here. Overall we had a fantastic stay and are in the process of researching when we might like to revisit. I'd like to say a very special thanks to Saleem, our host, the gym trainer (whose name I forgot - sorry!) and Zam from the kids club. All 3 really went the extra mile to ensure that we had a fantastic time and we certainly did. We hope to see you all again soon!
Amazing place with amazing views Great service and friendly staff Great for families Rooms slightly old but staff, food quality and service compensates for that. My kids loved the water activities Would go back ... dream holiday
Water Villa is very comfortable and its location is too awesome. The rooms upkeep is absolutely immaculate. The Service and Hospitality was beyond compare. I would surely come back to this property on my next visit to Maldives.
We just had the best vacation ever. The staff was more than perfect, so friendly, funny, helpful and really exceptional. There is nothing that they won't do for you to make your vacation even better. The resort is beautiful, excellent food, excellent location, beautiful beaches.... paradise on earth. We had the two bedroom beach villa and it was really excellent... we will be back for sure. Once again thank you for the best vacation ever.
This is our first time to travel to a quiet chilled place, we thought that 5 days would be too much but surprisingly we had not 1 minute of boredom!! It felt like heaven on earth... the amazing villa (we got upgraded from the sunrise to the sunset last over water villa 601 which was 100% private from all four sides) all the facilities were available... even more than the other 5 star hotels. The cleanliness was spectacular. The service, the food, the activities, the people ... simply everything was fantastic. Every single waiter/butler/housekeeping/ greeter/ security had a great role in making our trip memorable ... a shout out to the general manager who was so friendly and greeting everyone on their tables... what an amazing experience .. should be done every year. Felt like I was born again
Room size was huge compared to any other hotel, very conveniently located within 20 mins of speed boat ride from Male. i was not impressed with the property for there is no house reef for snorkeling. Staff courtesy and friendliness was not that great compared to Four seasons. Luckily i found one staff Mr.Pravin, in villa dining manager to save the entire trip, who was courteous and attending to our needs. Every other place we went, not even a simple greet or smile was found.
Visited for the 2nd time in July time. Was with the family of 3 kids and my better half. The service is excellent , location being only 25 mins journey from male international is so convenient after a long journey and ideal for young families. The hotel is introducing new experiences such as an open air cinema and will probably be even better going forwards. Great PlayStation, pool and table tennis room - samsara food is excellent and the service is wonderful - the spa is also of a very good standard. Overall a great family based resort
Every thing was way too good especially the way they took care of kids and their food. They kept us engaged for all three days without intruding our privacy. Gulnaz who was managing our stay at the resort was professional and efficient beyond expectation.
Jumeirah Vittaveli is the epitome of the "Maldivian escape'. Look no further and go ahead and book this resort, you will not be dissappointed. Im usually very picky about certain things, however the overall experience in this resort deserves full marks. From our buttler Saleem, to the SPA therapist Marcel who really was friendly and knowledgeable. To Chef Masood who took care of our private beach dinner. Its hard to fault anything in particular, some insect bites which to be honest is normal because of the natural habitat of the island. We took the sunset villa, full board room. From the moment you arrive till the moment you leave you feel very pampered and taken care of. Even though there are about 90 rooms and the time we were there it was at full occupancy you never felt that the resort is packed. Amazing happy staff, and everyone we spoke to was very complimentary of the mother company Jumeirah who takes care of them, this shows that if you take care of the employees it will always reflect well on the customers. With plenty of activities throughout the day, 4 nights wasn't enough in the resort. The food was delicious and many choices to choose from, the main restaurant by the beach was spectacular. we will definitely go back again with the kids this time as I'm looking forward to our next visit there
