Arriving in stormy weather, we didn't get the best first impression of this resort. Indeed, the first night, on the 'windy' sunrise side of the island was very loud due to howling wind and the constant roar of the surf. We asked to move to the other, calmer side having strolled round and found that it seemed much quieter. The staff were very accommodating and moved us without any problem. However, we were then in a semi detached villa which was as spacious and comfortable as the first but with very thin dividing walls! We did enjoy our 6 night stay here but couldn't help but compare it to our previous visit to another island. We found the food to be disappointing. The buffet selection was quite unimaginative. I really don't expect to be asked to pay for fresh fish, which was chargeable no matter what meal plan you were on. Many dishes seemed to be included for the benefit of the (many) Chinese guests. The bars had a good atmosphere and we did enjoy the entertainment - some live bands and a couple of DJs. The sea has quite a strong current on the windy side and there is some weed and lots of coral to negotiate on the other side, so water shoes are a must. We didn't see as many fish here and the excursions are expensive. So, although enjoyable, I wouldn't recommend choosing this resort, especially if it's your first or only trip to the Maldives.

The Maldives have been on my visit list since I saw a Maldives resort on a travel show years ago. A friend suggested this resort making my plans easy as there are a lot of resorts to chose from. I was very impressed with all aspects of the resort. The boat transfer process was efficient- I waited about 35 minutes as a group was assembled from various flights. The check in was effortless-we enjoyed a local fruit drink while we were checked in. A friendly staff person gave us a brief orientation and then brought us to our rooms. Luggage arrived minutes later. I was in beach villa 212. Lovely views of the beach.the island is small so everything is within a 5-8 minute walk. A comfortable and very well maintained room.Great bed. The partially outdoor bathroom was a pleasure to use. High end fixtures, lots of water pressure in the shower. The grounds are manicured. Beautiful plantings. Lots of shade when you want to escape the sun.Plenty of cushioned lounge chairs line the beach. Beach towels and life jackets are supplied in each villa. Nice pool although I spent most of my time in the ocean. You walk out your door into the clear blue waters and within a few meters of the beach are reefs teaming with tropical fish, sea urchins etc. Calm, safe waters for snorkeling. Off the pier at their dock entrance is another great snorkeling area. Black tip sharks, manta rays as well as multiple varieties of tropical fish. This area can have strong currents so it's good to check with staff or other snorkelers if unsure. Mornings always seemed to be calm. I also did the 2 reef excursion trip. That was another great experience.Saw dolphins in route, sharks and sea turtles at the reef along with all the tropical fish. Our guide was a delight-full of helpful information and helping us see a lot on our excursion.I was on the all inclusive and was happy with food and drink. Buffet food was good and nice variety. They do "assign" you a table for your entire stay but I didn't find this a problem. My waiter(Zyan-Spelling?) was very friendly and helpful.I learned about local life in the Maldives-very interesting. James ,one of the poolside bartenders, always made stopping by for a pre dinner cocktail a delight. All other staff I encountered were equally friendly and helpful-from the gardeners to the room cleaners. I was initially hesitant to go to an all inclusive resort on an island but I would definitely return to this one and highly recommend it for anyone wanting this this type of experience. I recommend you bring all essentials(ie sun block) as the prices in the resort stores are very high.

The front desk team is very supportive. All member very polite with smile face. Its very friendly to family with kids. Meal are goods with many choice for kids Only minus point is there is no fresh juice, that I expect much in the island.

From arrival to departure I couldn't fault our stay at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi. The staff were very polite our waiter Ali couldn't do enough for us and Sandun at the beach bar was very welcoming and professional. The Beach Villa was spacious and clean facilities were excellent. The food was plentiful and always a good selection for all tastes. Live entertainment in the evenings and plenty of choice for drinks from moktails to cocktails. I'd definitely recommend this island and will hopefully return in the future

We were there just for a night and wanted to have a quick look how the island was before booking a longer stay for our honeymoon. We had to make 5 calls to the reservation teams and was kept giving a different number to call to make the reservation......looks like nobody could assist you. Finally we were told to do the booking online on our own. Nobody came back to us for a few days and finally they replied was on the day of the arrival.Really poor booking experience. We specially requested a ocean villa and was stuck in a garden villa. All Inclusive drinks were so bad quality we tried only two and both were terrible. Pool bar was so old and if you wanted any fresh juice it was not included in the "all inclusive" We will definitely not be back there as it was one or the worst island in Maldives we ever visited.

Awesome place for everyone from kids to oldies. You can enjoy the beauty at its fullest, water sports, cuisines, cultural dance, DJ nights, bar and the people around. Resort facilities and services are commendable. Staff is very helpful. We spent 9D/8N over there and still were not bored at all. Want to visit there again. Love the place...

This was the 10th visit to this wonderful hotel! We can only sing their praises and recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff are wonderful and could not be more helpful so thank you once again for making this trip a memorable trip once again. The beach bungalows have been totally renovated and are so comfortable, you could want for no more. The service in the beach bar and restaurants was faultless and the overall standard of drinks and food was superb. They have cleared huge areas of the bushes along the coastline which has improved views and made more space for sunbeds, which are again improved and they have good padded covers now. The sea, sand and snorkelling was fabulous, I cannot fault a thing. Thank you to all the staff once again, a fabulous team and look forward to seeing you all AGAIN next year.

When I first started to look at going to the Maldives I thought it would be easy but with so many islands and hotels it’s mind boggling. As I only booked 3 weeks before I left I was guided by the travel agents and what a fantastic choice it was. When you arrive at the airport you turn right and will see the Adaaran Hotel kiosk where you will be greeted by staff and given a bottle of water which is needed after a long flight. After a few minutes and after other passengers arrive you are taken aboard the speedboat to go to the island 30 minutes journey. As you step off you are welcomed with a cooling towel and taken to a welcome reception room where you are given a cold drink and you check in. I stayed in a beach villa initially which was fantastic just a few steps from the beach. The room is very spacious and very clean and is decorated in turquoise and white with TV and ample storage space. Complimentary tea and coffee supplied with daily 2 bottles of mineral water. The shower room has 2 showers - one covered and the other under the palm trees. The outside shower is great! The beach is very clean and has soft sand and turquoise water. You’ll see colourful fish swimming by your feet........ amazing! You’ll see the beach being cleaned daily which keeps it pristine. There’s a range of excursions but they are expensive. The shops are also expensive so try and bring all you need like goggles, sun creams etc or get ready to get your credit card out!! If you want to see the fish without getting your feet wet book the glass bottom excursion. It was very good and reasonably priced at $38 for an hours trip and you’ll get to see some of the different variety of fish. The restaurants offer buffet meals of international cuisine and some food for vegetarians. Also a selection of Indian dishes which are suitable for vegetarians and non veg. You also have choice of fruits, many varieties of cakes and ice cream. You’re won’t be hungry for sure. A really good system is that you are allocated a table which you will have your entire stay so it saves you walking around looking for a table. A big thank you to Captain Ihusan and Samih for looking after us in the Banyan restaurant and the excellent chefs Roshan and Lakshman who made us a meat kofta curry dish just for us upon request. You’ll also get Paratha for breakfast if you request! Yum! Amazing service!! Go to the Sunset restaurant and you will be greeted by manager Amitha who will look after you in true Maldivian style. This restaurant has an outside terrace so you can watch the fish while eating and as the name suggests can watch the sunset. You have buffet and a la Carte choice of menu. If you are coming for a special occasion let them know and they will decorate your table. It’s also worth getting all inclusive as you’ll pay €6 plus for drinks and if you drink alcohol then a lot more. If you forget your plug adapter don’t worry as all the plugs are UK 3 pin. The a/c was not as cool as expected and the fan was too fast but they were fixed with 30 minutes of being reported. Excellent Service! If you want to see some card tricks and get a drink head down to the Hiyala Bar and you will be greeted by Aiham who will look after you. By the way you never showed me how you did the tricks. I also stayed at the Ocean Villas where it’s an out of this world experience! So it’s worth upgrading even for 1 night! You also get WiFi here and can walk straight into the water. The room is fantastic and you have a butler service. If you want to be pampered head down to Chavana Spa where you will be met by Annalyne and her excellent therapists offering Balinese massage and offer special rates upon arrival bookings. The staff are second to none anywhere in the world and they will bend over backwards to provide you with excellent customer service. Thank you Mr Gangadaran (Assistant Resort Manager),Mr K. Pushpabandu ( F & B Manager) and all the staff for making our 30 anniversary a fantastic and memorable stay ........ I’ll be back!

We had a wodnerful honeymoon in this resort! We enjoyed Foods, View, Activities very well. And we met a lot of nice and kind worker here. Especially thanks to Fayaz(Butler), Kalpa(Breeze restaurant), Ananda(Sunset restaurant), Muizz(Sunset restaurant).

Spent four night in the beautiful ocean villa, with all possible facilities, bathtub, shower, towel, free snacks and wine. Sea view is fantabulous definitely worth going at least once in a life. 👍🏻👍🏻
