ITS AN AMAZING LUXURIOUS PLACE TO STAY AND ENJOY A HONEYMOON . Have a Great cooperative staff including Manger at Banyan Restaurant Amitha, Manger at Sunset KK, Chef Luxman( from India). Enjoyed the hospitality of all staff at reception not forgetting the ever smiling cleaning staff. The only Issue i had was that cart was only for the ocean villa residents which is quite a low on side . But over all its an astonishing resort to stay and be adored by everyone.
What can I say. No words can describe how amazing this place is. We stayed 5 amazing days. The villas are perfect and the staff are amazing. We couldn't ask for a better getaway. The kids and the adults enjoyed this trip. Thank you for the amazing service. We had a blast.
We had a lovely 10 days here. We stayed in the beach villas and it was perfect for a surfer. I surfed 2 to 3 times a day at Lohis and had great waves as well as got to spend time with my gorgeous wife and two kids. The break is really consistent so had waves for the whole time. The snorkling was great as well with the kids. My daughter had a 6th birthday here which the staff made really special. They set a table up with flowers and decorations.
From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with a cold drink and wet cold cloths, we were then taken to the meeting room by a lovely lady from the front desk (her name was Suba) for the 3wks we stayed here she was a very reliable source of information. We originally should have been in a garden villa but we were put straight into a beach villa, number 130 and we were so excited as it was lovely, immaculately furnished and cleaned everyday. My husband and friends were keen snorkelers and he even managed to swim with turtles and stingrays, the food was fantastic the service even better, all thanks to Chaffiu and Amith, every member of staff from gardeners/maintenance up to management are a credit to both themselves and the resort as a whole. We had a fantastic 3weeks with our friends and will definitely return in the future! Many thanks again for a brilliant holiday. Sonia and Rick Kitchen xxx
Stayed at the resort from 7th July to 14th July with My daughter 18 years old and couldn't get enough of it.. could have stayed another week if we could... The resort is well maintained and kept clean, including the rooms ,so credit goes to everyone there you sure showed how hard you all work.. One thing I can say that needs improve is the WiFi,, you pay $37 dollars per phone and WiFi can only be used in certain areas. A special thanks goes out to Anith, Laxman Singh, Ali, & Hoobs for all your help and for making this trip so enjoyable and so memorable So, yes will see you all again in the near future!!
Wow wow wow just as good as the pictures but better. We went for a two week break and relaxation we found it here. The island is just big enough so there is plenty to do from swimming in the pool, resting on the beach, watching the surfers, tennis court, gym, beach bars pool bars surf bar. When we arrived we were given a room right next to the pool which was great but on an evening we got the noise from the bar and karaoke. We asked if we could move we were given a fantastic quite room open the door look out at the clear waters . Towards the end of our stay we moved to a water villa it had the feeling of being on a cruse. The food was buffet style but to a very good standard always plenty to choose from. Staff are some of the friendliest I ever meet.every one we meet went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. My only criticism is the entertainment on an evening once a week we had some fantastic local dancers but the rest was two women singers who had good voices but lacked charisma and did not engage with people. But a small criticism. So a big thank you to the island and all the staff we loved it.
My husband have just returned back from Adaaran Select after 10 amazing nights there. I visited the Maldives 15 years ago the second I stepped off of the speed boat I was surrounded by an array beautiful fish and the most beautiful reef, back then we were told the Maldives would be gone in 15 years, at the time I assumed they meant the islands however after visiting again they obviously meant the Reef which has totally gone and there are no where near as many fish - the affects of global warming are totally obvious here - therefore I wouldn't recommend the snorkelling trips, we did go on one ($45 per person) which was no better than what what right on our door step. Other than the reef which was disappointing everything else was wonderful. Our beach villa was perfectly located, the bathrooms are brilliant, open plan with an area outside for the shower great for stargazing whilst washing your hair!! You could upgrade however we chose not to, $250 for 1 nights of $200 p/night if you book 2 nights or more (benefits of upgrading include free wifi and the ocean restaurant). They do also have the honeymoon island which is $500+Tax per night, where a 5 course meal is included and a couples massage. The food was great, breakfast was my favourite, however lunch and dinner were also lovely, lots of different currys to try and steak perfectly cooked. In the restaurant we were looked after by Shameen and Azuwan who were excellent, really attentive, funny and always on hand to get you a drink the second you finished your last. We are big fans of swim up bars which is why we chose this resort. We read that the drinks are strong, which they are (50ml shots!) however if you don't like strong drinks just ask for less alcohol - the cocktails aren't brilliant but you can make up your own drinks, I would recommend mango and vodka!! Although you can't taste the vodka so you'll be drunk as a skunk before you know it! Dinesh and Adnanan who were always working were fabulous!! So many of the staff come to the Maldives to work and leave many of their families behind so they can provide for them, we believe that good service should be rewarded with tipping, and if you tip early on the service really does just get better :) We also had a couples massage in the spa and i have to say, it was probably the best full body massage I have ever had!! Definitely worth the money although not expensive ($169 for two people) Few tips: • Rock shoes for snorkelling - where the coral has died it blends in with the sand so the rock shoes will come in handy. • Take a yoga mat or lightweight pillow as the sun loungers are plastic and not overly comfortable. • Take your own snorkel and mask and flippers - quite a strong current so the flippers do make all the difference ($10 p/d to hire otherwise). • Purchase the weeks worth of wifi $37 p/p per device if you do it by day it is $10!! • Take your own waterproof phone case or camera, the ones you can buy from the shop aren't good!!! Although everyone bought them! • If you can, take a lovely picture then take it to the man by the pool bar, he will paint it, of course this is an additional expense however he really is amazing and not too expensive! The are only a few cons to the resort but certainly wouldn't stop me going back; • Wifi isn't everywhere and unless you are in an ocean villa is an additional cost, but then to get the wifi as good as it was in such a remote location is still brilliant! • Sun Loungers (mentioned above) • Evening entertainment, 1 night out of 10 was good. But overall, a fabulous holiday, amazing staff and affordable paradise set in an idyllic location!! If you are looking for relaxing holiday with great service, food and sun definitely book this resort!
We came to hudhuranfushi for 10 night with the whole extended family including 2 adult surfers, grabparents, aunt, toddler and reasonably pregnant woman. We had an awesome time. Our greeting on arrival was exceptional. Especially as we arrived so late at night. From the greeting outside customs, assistance with bags. Upon arrival at the resort after our boat transfer they offered us a late night supper which we were honestly too tired to eat but the fish and chips were delicious. We were promptly shown to our room when we said we only wanted our beds. Hindsight perhaps we should have listened to the hotel induction. The boys were stoked with the wave and got great surf daily. The break was generally uncrowded with the crew generally very friendly and plenty of waves to take turns. Only a couple of fellas insisted on dropping in regularly but they worked out quickly it left them with no one to have a beer with in the evening. Lohis bar and deck was a great place to watch the boys surf and enjoy a coffee/snack/drink. The accommodation was more than comfortable in the Ocean view rooms. The house boy did a great job maintaining space around our chaos. We were locate on the lagoon side which was great for snorkeling and swimming with the toddler but was a little bit a hike to the surf break and main restaurant Meals were good with standard items or slight variations provided at each meal plus a few special dishes. Generally there was plenty of variety. The fruit variety was a little disappointing with 1 or 2 options provided at most meals and juice was concentrate/cordial, but that wasn't enough to spoil my appetite. My biggest challenge/gripe with the resort, which was also the challenge of many other guests with children was the meal times. It was so much a challenge that it would be prohibitive to us returning until our kids are much older. With a 1.5yo 7:30pm is far to late for the first dinner service. The hotel kindly obliged a 6pm plate of food for my son without any complaint but this still left me missing eating with my family as my little guy was already asleep in the room. The people with a 4 & 6yo at the table next to us also struggled but managed to drag their two out. Adaaran, please please please consider starting dinner earlier. 6:30pm or even 7pm if you want families to be return guests. The snorkeling off the lagoon side was great, plenty to see writhin a short paddle from shore. the diving (my friend went on 2) expensive but spectacular. I wish we had arrived during the day and had the brain power to hear the induction as I would have known that the buggies were available to all guests. As a rather pregnant woman with a toddler I ended up very immobile from the walking between Lohis, the restaurant and our room. I found out on day 4, a little late for my poor hips but when requested they were generally quick and the drivers very nice. I tried to get a massage a Chavana to relieve my hips but unfortunately they don't cater to pregnant women. Eliza the physio/yoga instructor was my savior with her classes and physio treatment. The staff were brilliant. Abdullah in the main restaurant and the waiter next to him were very kind, helpful and professional, the two gentlemen who ran Lohis bar were great and Suba at the front desk was irreplaceable, she made our stay perfect ensuring that all my little mostly toddler relater requests were fulfilled. The gardener who started the week out the front of reception was a favorite with my son. Tips for traveling with kids. - Take a stroller with a parcel shelf to travel around the island as it can be a long walk. - if your kids are fussy with sleep take something to block out the light as the blinds are white and more for privacy. - Ask straight away about early meals as they are very happy to accommodate but it does take a little bit of Chinese whispers to get sorted. Shukuriyyaa Adaaran Hudhuranfushi, we had a lovely stay. Please consider the earlier meal time though as we will definitely come back sooner if we can eat as a family.
My girlfriend and i cannot speak highly enough of this place ! we had always regarded the Maldives in an all inclusive resort as a dream holiday , so had high expectations before we arrived, but we both agree that Adarran Select hudhuran exceeded those expectations. Our Ocean Villa was spacious, clean and comfortable and the views out onto the Indian Ocean were amazing ! We were lucky enough to have a butler assigned to us for the duration of our stay and he ( Shiyaz ) was outstanding , as were all the staff working there , always happy to help with a genuine smile on their faces. Breakfast , lunch and dinner in the restaurant offered an impressive selection of starters, main courses and deserts which were all delicious. During the evenings the bar area was always busy with a relaxed atmosphere . There was also nightly entertainment provided by two ladies singing . The Adaraan resort has stunning tropical beaches to relax on with white sand and clear ocean to swim and go snorkelling in . The endless variety of sea life to discover is a joy . There are also a good selection of trips and tours to join if you so wish and we had a fantastic time on the island hopping , sunset fishing and deep sea snorkelling trips. We were very sad to leave after 7 days of perfection and we are already planning to return as soon as possible .
I want to start this review, but mentioning that following reading a number of reviews going here, I was concerned. I always take everything with a pinch of salt when it comes to reading reviews, and I would urge you to disregard all bad reviews on this resort, as it simply is paradise in short! We arrived on a short 30 minute boat transfer from the airport to be greeted by staff at the pier with cold flannels for us to cool us off. It was then a short stroll to reception where we were greeted with a welcome drink. We did, however, book a garden room from the UK, and had requested an upgrade to a Beach Villa on arrival. Initially we were booked into a Garden Room, and upon discussion with reception were moved to a Beach Villa within an hour of arrival, due to being a special anniversary. The garden villas are very tired and not what we wanted from the Maldives. We have a nice garden view from our house at home, and in coming to the Maldives, we want a sea view. The garden villa was very tired looking and certainly not a welcoming prospect. However we were then moved to Beach Villa overlooking the West side, and this was paradise. Some of the rooms have recently been refurbished and were of the highest quality. There was plenty of room inside, a sea view and an outside bathroom complete with outdoor (and indoor shower). The bed was comfy and there was a kettle with plenty of tea and coffee available as well. There was a mini bar available, however the prices here were far too high and to be honest with an all inclusive bar I could see no reason to ever use! When we were there there was a lot wind on the West side of the island, however a 2 minute walk across the middle of island took you to the East side which was complete paradise! A lovely beach on all sides of the island and plenty of room to get away from everything. On the South end of the island there was a beach bar, which was situated on a lovely beach overlooking the Ocean Villas. There was a walkway from the beach to the Ocean Villa, and unless you are staying there and paying the money to do so, you are not allowed to walk across this walkway, which does seem a little over the top from a Security point of view if I am honest, although did not dampen our holiday, as understand the people there are paying twice! My recommendation would be a room on the East side that has been renovated where you could walk directly from your room into the sea, perfect. The sea. The west side was quite choppy when we were there and the sand was less inviting due to the amount of coral etc, however the East side was true paradise and exactly as I would describe the Maldives. There was also surf beach and bar where you could watch the surfing, which was entertaining and provided a relaxed place to watch with a drink. Activities. There are a number of water sport options available, which we would have loved to have done numerous, however due to the obscene costs, we only actually took out a canoe on one occasion! One thing that I really feel let down the resort was the quality of the drinks. I am certainly no wine expert, however the quality of the wines was terrible and undrinkable. The cocktail menu was also not good. I did notice there was options to pay extra for wine and cocktails, however, I would think that having a few good drinks would be very appreciated and go down well with everyone. Overall though, i want to give a special mention to our room boy, Munaz and our waiter, Amith and his Manager, Shafiu. These guys work extremely hard with no time off, and are a true credit to the island. Please tip them regularly as they deserve every penny they get. Overall, would I go back, already looking. True paradise and a brilliant tropical island!
