The staff was very friendly and the resort was nice and clean. The lobby for the Oasis did not at all look like the picture displayed on Orbitz as it was small and you cannot see the ocean. The room was nice and modern and seemed larger than a lot of other rooms we stayed in when traveling through Spain. However, I paid over $700 per night for a mountain view room which overlooked the parking lot because it was holiday season. It was my fault in that I meant to book an ocean view room but must have hit the wrong button. However, it definitely was not worth that price. Marbella overall seemed to be very expensive which for me did not make sense as many other areas of Spain have nice beaches with reasonable pricing. The main pool at the Don Carlos was average. The beach club was very nice. The food was excellent at the restaurant but not a large menu. One night there were ballroom dancers performing and the gentleman at the table next to my husband and I began chatting with us but we ultimately got shsshed by one of the dancers waiting on the side. We were tucked in a corner and I didn't realize talking was frowned upon. It made me feel like I had done something wrong which put a damper on the experience. Overall we had a good time and spent most of it at the Nikki Beach pool party next door.
