Mariposa Hotel Malaga

One night stay to look around Malaga before moving onto a Villa further along the coast.Hotel was hard to find with Sat Nav as the hotel address is a pedestrianised road., after much frustration had to call hotel for directions. Could do with a note about this on website.Parking underneath the hotel is very tight and a challenge. Room was clean and comfortable and ok for price. Great location for walking to different areas of Malaga

We stayed 6 nights in this delightful hotel in SOHO -a perfect location for the cultural attractions / shopping / restaurants and nice walks along the seafront -all of which are at max 10 minutes away. The executive room was spacious with lots of storage space, lovely large bed ( slept like a log) and a huge TV -good sized bathroom with a blasting shower. Breakfast is very good with a large choice but probably could improve the bread & croissants. Modern decor, a little quirky but nice -excellent service from the reception. A delightful & comfortable stay which perfectly matched the lovely city of Malaga.

Stayed here for one week recently with my husband. The decoration is very pleasant, modern look and feel. Room was comfortable, clean and tidy every day on our return with fresh towels. The bath room was spacious enough and very clean Very pleasant staff willing to assist in any question or matter Breakfast was amazing, a large choice of food: fresh, great taste and the bonus  fresh orange juice & homemade pancakes ! Very good quality / price. Great location, near the subway (this is direct from the airport). There are many restaurants, activities and things to do in the area by walking. All in all, we loved our stay and warmly recommend it !

just spent 5 days in the Mariposa. Had a junior suite. Unusual and most attractive decor. Very comfortable and quiet. Super breakfast with a wide range of items available from squeeze your own orange juice to make your own crepe. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location, away from the crowds but 3 minutes walk from the city centre or the sea. My only suggestion: put heated towel rail in the bathroom.

Once again, this hotel has a good location....pretty much everything you need is within a 10-15 min walk, including the meeting place for most tours. The hotel itself is most impressive with black, white, mirror and glass. The front desk staff is wonderful, if you need something printed off, they will do that among giving directions, getting ice, etc. The hotel is on a street that is walking traffic only but don't let that deter you. It is a very short walk from the street. (Some cabs will drop you off out front). The only downside here was the noise at night. Keep your air conditioner on! All in all, a good stay.

Situated very close to the city centre, the Mariposa provided a very relaxing stay where all staff members were on hand to provide any assistance we required. With some very nice cafes & restaurants nearby, this hotel is a perfect for anyone on a city break in Malaga.

Situated just south of the town centre in Soho the Mariposa was clean ,friendly and good value for our recent 3 night stay. The area is a bit more bohemian than the rest of the city with smaller restaurants and boutique shops but only 5 min walk away from town centre and 10 from the port area with more shops, bars and cafes etc Standard room was a decent size ,good bathroom and very clean.Recycling collection on the main street was noisy in the morning but thats the downside of being near so many bars etc .Great stay , hopefully to return in the near future.

We picked this hotel for our recent stay in Malaga for its location just south of the centre of town, and because it offered on-site parking...and it worked out perfectly! Very friendly check-in on arrival, with minimum of fuss and very happy with our contemporary look Executive double. There was a welcoming Superking bed, with decent hanging space in the wardrobe, good lighting and a bath/shower that had a proper jet. I get the feeling that all the rooms offers views over the main street or side ones - don't expect a seaview here, though the marina is only a short walk away. Breakfasts are a bit on the minimal side and can feel a bit hectic when you get 20 guests all there at the same time. There's a mix of juices, eggs, bacon, hams, cheeses and yoghurts & various cereals so enough to keep you going - but only one coffee machine...so there was a perpetual queue for that every morning - how much nicer if they could have offered fresh coffee in the morning and had someone bring that round...? They appeared to run out of fresh bananas halfway through each morning service, and it was also a shame that they served such small and anaemic looking croissants & pastries. Surely, they could have found a better supplier for those...? Otherwise, we found all the staff, from the front of house to the cleaners to be genuinely happy & friendly and the underground parking was a real bonus for a crowded city that had very little on-street parking. Parking was tight and I wouldn't have liked to have been driving a bigger car, but for €12 euros a night, I thought that was very reasonable. So, all in all, a very well run and friendly hotel and couldn't beat the location.

We booked into this hotel after reviewing online reviews. We were not disappointed at all. The hotel is modern, our room large, wifi free and fast, and staff friendly and speaking excellent English. The breakfast is not part of the room charge but it's very affordable and offers a good buffet spread. While somewhat pricey, it is not unreasonable.

Fantastic location, walking distance to the main streets. Clean modern hotel, helpful staff. Good selection of restaurants or suit all budgets nearby. Close to harbour and casino.good selection for breakfast.
