stayed at this hotel for 4 nights on a A/I basis, after reading reviews was a bit sceptical, the room was comfortable, and clean, great shower, tv limited, nice balcony with views, bit short on eletrical sockets. the food is not michelin star, and we eat out 3 nights, however for the price it was extremley good value for drinks alone, the pool and grass area was great. great place for exploring the area, estepona 10 mins, marbella 15. for the price i was a happt customer
This hotel is ideal if you are having a golfing holiday playing at El Paraiso! You could throw a stone from reception to the 1st tee! The hotel is tired and in need of a refurb. The rooms on the 5th floor have been refurbished - we stayed in one. The view was fantastic but I would not call it 4 star more like 3! On the upside it was clean, fairly comfortable and the shower was great! The breakfast was simple but there was a good choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed two nights and it was good value for money! Whist this is a good location for golfers I would certainly not recommend it for a family beach holiday! Although the hotel has two swimming pools and gardens the beach is a good 15 minutes drive and you have to cross the motorway.
About a mile up hill from that dreadful duel carraigeway.....so quietly located. Nice views over hills and golf courses to the front and the rear overlooks excellent gardens and pool with the Med beyond. Breakfast is just acceptable but not for a 4* hotel. Evening buffet was the same.....acceptable but not for a 4* hotel. My room position was excellent. Top floor right at end of hotel overlooking golf courses, mountains and Med with the sun rising in the morning. Perfect. Room was large. But the only problem was the connecting door to the room next door. Easy to hear their TV and snoring!
Great hotel , brilliant pool , plenty of sunbeds, we had a really nice room ,large comfortable bed , staff very helpful and friendly, need more staff on the bar , the pool bar often had no staff severing on this bar till 1'clock . Food good .overall this is a lovely hotel .but could do with some evening entertainment.
It is a bit middle of nowhere, on top of a hill , the bonus of that is though, that pratically all rooms have a balcony that faces the sea and the mountain range. You can watch the sun come up and go down over the horizon. There is a large open air pool with bar and beach loungers open until early evening. We had a semi-all included trip- the food choice was good, the drinks reasonanble, the bar had some local specialties for us. The room was large, safe use cost extra ! but the beds were a deccent size and comfort and the bathroom was OK but not the most modern though. Staff very friendly, enjoyed our short stay here. Water from the machines is expensive though. And the beach is about 1/2 hour away according to reception. But the overall atmosphere was good, evenings you can chill in the terrace bar / café. And breakfast was good.
Just got back from an excellent 9 night stay at the TRH Paraiso hotel, Good food, friendly staff, excellent pool area with beautiful gardens for sunbathing, Set back around a mile from the main road so a car is a real advantage, recommend asking for a high room as he views are breathtaking, would find it hard to give this hotel any negative comments, 2 of the attached photos are looking over the golf course towards the mountains from room 536
Three of us booked separate rooms and we were given, as requested, south facing, adjacent, rooms on the third floor overlooking the pool. We each had double or twin beds. There were fridges in the rooms along with hair driers and towels. The safe had to be activated at a cost of 3 euros a day and there were no tea, coffee or kettle facilities. The rooms were well cleaned and breakfast was plentiful and varied although everything was stored in coolish hot plates. The bacon was not the best quality, but there was a huge choice of everything. This was not the five star Senator Banus Spa where we had stayed in May, but it was considerably cheaper and represented good value for the price we paid.
In my opinion this is two stars hotel at the best. It is dated hotel. Door does not have safety lock, frame is all broken. Dated CRT tv 17 or 19 inch Hard queen bed, small pillows, no extra pillow. I like to have two pillows. Cheap small towels No electronic outlet at the bed to charge cell phones. Slow air-conditioning We had to carry our bags appreciate q5 steps to the first elevator . Did not find porters. No luggage rack in the room. All bags on floor and we on our knees. Our room is 135.
Rooms: not 4* and are really dated but are clean and spacious. The view from room 332 was lovely overlooking the golf course and the sea and mountains. Our balcony was in an L shape so was huge. Rooms are cleaned with fresh towels daily Food: edible but Luke warm. We went all inclusive but eat out most nights. Pool: was lovely. Huge! Opens at 10am we didn't have a problem getting sun loungers but to be fair the hotel wasn't that busy. Staff: we're polite and friendly Animation: was all in Spanish but did ask us in English (best they could) if we wanted to join in the games. Mini club: for the kids. Seamed ok but again all in Spanish as far as we could tell. I personally was glad we didn't have our kids with us as think they would have been really bored! Overall: this hotel is mainly for Spanish visitors. There were a handful of English guests though. There was no bus service from the hotel into Marbella or esteponia as they said we needed to get 15 people to sign up to say they wanted to go. There is however a bus service (the L2) at the main road about 15minutes walk down hill which is only €1.40 per person each way. Think it runs til 10.30pm. We only went into estepona port and old town which takes about 20mins. Would recommend the bus. It's €18 in a taxi to Puerto benus at night. This hotel is ok but didn't suit us and think we paid over the odds to stay here. Many guests had cars.
We stayed for 10 nights in August. If you want to venture out, You need to be able to walk about a mile down hill to the main road, where you can get a bus to Estepona or to San Pedro and beyond. Taxis cost between €20-25 euros to Estepona. The hotel is ok - it's a good 3* and considering when we went it was good value for money. We had a triple room for £108 a night for B&B. You can only upgrade to All Inc for a minimum of 3 nights and as we didn't want to be tied, we didn't bother. It's €15 pp & €8 for a child for the buffet (without drinks) for lunch and dinner, but the food is always the same (no themed nights). The hotel could really do with investing in some new sun beds as they don't have many Blue mesh ones that have recliners on. The majority are white plastic and quite uncomfortable. The hotel operates a policy whereby the pool does not open until 10am, so no one can get up early and hog the sun beds. I walked down at about 9.45 after breakfast on our second day only to realise that I had to wait for the gate to open. A queue formed behind me as soon as I arrived and when the gate opened I was body barged by a Spanish man who obviously had a particular blue bed he wanted. (Ha! Ha!) There weren't many British holiday makers at the hotel - it was mainly Spanish, which was actually nice as my partner's son got to practice his language skills. They have the usual activities throughout the day, and the entertainment team try to get people involved. I liked Estepona and would definitely go back - and if I'm honest would probably go back to the hotel, at first I thought it was too far away from the sea/beach, but once we got into a routine of walking down the hill and getting the bus, it was ok.
