This hotel is ideally situated for the beach and restaurants. Loads of choices to eat. Old Town just across the road. Orange Square a must visit. The staff on reception were extremely helpful and very friendly. Our room (no. 630) was very spacious with a large corner balcony. It was kept spotlessly clean with beautiful white towels each day and a great shower. Plenty of choice for breakfast. I cannot comment on lunch or dinner as we were B & B. If you're not a fan of the beach there is a small pool on the rooftop. Yes, we certainly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!!!! Thank you El Rodeo 😊

This a lovely hotel yes a little dated but this honestly doesn't matter as so clean and the staff are lovely, the hotel is 5 minutes from the beach and litteraly just across the road from the old town, the drinks are really reasonable and the food is lovely we really had a lovely holiday and wouldent hesitate to come back.

Just returned from a weeks holiday at El Rodeo. The hotel is ideally situated, just of Marbella main shopping street and bus route, surrounded by café/bars and restaurants and just a short stroll from the beach and marina. My room was spacious and spotless and had a large balcony, which was a suntrap. The shower over the bath was first class and towels changed regularly. I found all the staff to be very pleasant. There wasn't a great choice at meal times, but anything I did eat was very tasty and you wouldn't starve .There's also a small roof top pool and terrace for guests. All in all I had a very good stay and would have no hesitation returning to El Rodeo.

We arrived as a party of 6 rooms weren't all ready but we were given one room key and within 10 minutes Carlos on reception had sorted out the other two rooms. Rooms were spacious and clean and beds were comfy. Unfortunately there is no kettle in the room and limited plug sockets!!! Staff in the food room were at times rude and the food was less than basic- breakfast is cold beans, fried eggs and 2/7 days we had sausage. Lunch was ok but dinner was a disappointment and on one occasion I had chicken that was still raw- needless to say I had bread the rest of the time. The hotel it's self is central with a very short walk to everything meaning it's noisy and hectic all day and all night with the bins right outside the hotel being emptied between 3-4 each morning but if you can zone this out it's a lovely room. Thank you to those on reception who helped if we had problems and these were addressed very quickly. Hotel needs updating and possibly more sockets added as well as a kettle which would help a lot.

Just back from a 10 night stay in hotel Rodeo. Firstly, we arrived late, we were greeted by Carlos, who was so friendly and professional who then told us that that a salad plate was made up for us in the dining hall..a great start. Secondly, we went to our room, it was spotless, traditionally Spanish, spacious and a lovely balcony. There is a lot of wardrobe room, with a great shower and room was cleaned every day. Thirdly, the restaurant staff were so nice, friendly and got to know their customers. Lastly, the roof top pool was excellent but could do with a bit of a makeover. We really would highly recommend a stay at El Rodeo, come out the door turn left and you are in the centre of Marbella. A great place to stay !!

This place is basic at best. But it is clean and the situation of it is right in the heart of the action of old town Marbella. The beach is a couple mins away. The taxi rank is across the road. It is a wonderful base and very affordable. The area is very busy at night, loads of different restaurants to try & shops to look round. Plenty to occupy anyone with aswell as the beach. The hotel rooms are spacious enough with a balcony but the beds are uncomfortable. We were here for a long weekend but I don't think I'd wanna be here for much longer based on that. The breakfast isn't great. I don't know how anyone can get bacon n eggs so wrong but this place can. There aren't any culinary delights but you won't starve either put it that way! The staff are a bit hit n miss, the waiters run around like the queen is coming. One little man in particular (very short & fat) would repeatedly walk into me wherever I was walking to, I had to move out of his way. I think he missed the point of manners. When asking a guy on reception where the nearest cash point was he said he did not know. He made no effort to find out either. They do have wi fi though which is a bonus. If you want a cheap place with no frills this is the one.

We have just returned from a family holiday (9 of us in total) and had a lovely time at this hotel. The reception staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. The cleaning ladies were as good as any four star hotel we have stayed in. They even took our teacups and put them in the dishwasher! Shame the same can not be said of the restaurant staff. They were quite offhand with us. The hotel was full of different Spanish coach parties every day and all their attention went on them. The food was not the best and a variation on chips would have been appreciated, we ended up eating out the second week as it was getting monotonous. The pool area was basic and slightly neglected, however most days we had it to ourselves which was a bonus with young children. The rooms are traditionally Spanish, they were spacious and exceptionally clean. The shower was amazing. If you want no frills at a reasonable price this hotel is ideal. Should we ever return to Marbella we will definitely stay here.

Hotel was clean. Cleaning and reception staff were really friendly but restaurant staff never even smiled or said good morning to us. They were friendly to Spanish guests which made it seem more obvious to us. Pool attendant was very helpful too. Our shower wasn't attached to the hose on the wall. Which made it difficult to have a shower. There was no way off attaching it either. Rather noisy though as it is on the corner of a busy street.

Great little place to eat real Mexican food that hasn't been daluted to the point of no taste. Just the right spice to be warm and not hot, plenty of flavor and helpings are generous. Service was great. Really enjoyed eating here.

Last minute Easter getaway & the first ever trip to the Costa Del Sol. About 40 mins taxi drive to the airport & situated in the centre of Marbella. The hotel is a 3 star & the outside does not do this place justice. It has the nicest staff I've come across especially Carlos who assisted with Wifi set up & was pleasant & welcoming throughout our stay. We were situated on the 6th floor right at the far side of the hotel which had a sea view & a double terrace which continued into the side of the hotel. The room itself is basic & as the other reviews stated only has 2 power sockets which was my only quibble- but it is one of the biggest rooms we've had & I was more than satisfied with the size & the beds were firm & really comfy. Heard a few reviews about the hotel being dated which is sort of true but as you don't stay in the hotel for long periods of time it was never an issue with us- in fact as we upgraded to H/B for £3.20 per person I found this hotel excellent value for money, excellent location & id stop here again in a heart beat, I've also read on a few reviews the food wasn't the best & was cold sometimes- we had H/B & reception let us decide if we wanted 2 have Breakfast & one of Dinner or tea which is the first time I've seen this & was a good touch- we normally went down for breakfast either just after 08.00 which is when breakfast is open & around 09.00 & there was generally very little people about- I never really had a problem with the heat of the food but the beans were less warm on previous days but this was when we ventured down after 09.00 so you could put it down to the time maybe. Yes some days it was a lucky dip but again for breakfast you get a selection of fruit, cereal, breads, Fried or scrambled eggs (seem to be fried eggs on everyday bar Wednesdays & Saturday), beans, sausages & some kind of potato croquets. Dinner & tea there are around 8 dishes normally containing fish, meat & a veggie option with some form of salad- afters consisted of Spanish cake desserts & yogurt, rice pudding, mouses etc. The roof top pool was decent & under a roof glazing unit, there is 1 small section with artificial grass & the other side of the pool had a much larger section- didn't use the roof top bar as it wasn't in use or didn't see anyone man it during our stay. All in all the service was excellent, the location is perfect & situated just off the main road- can be a tad noisy till the wee hrs but u would expect this as it's like a city centre locus- it's also just off a street that runs down to the sea & has loads of tapas restaurants & was always busy, the food was ok & in general I'd agree with an earlier review indicating that this hotel is one good refurb away from making it a hidden gem. If you want a cheap as chips holiday, basic accommodation in a good central location then this is the place to stay.
