Loved our stay here the first time on a hen weekend, the second time I took my children. We all loved it and can't wait to go back again for the third year running. Perfectly placed for the beach and shopping. Hotel Lima is clean, in good condition, excellent breakfast and staff are fabulous, brilliant English and arranged a trip to Gibraltar for us on one occasion.
Hotel Lima is a very clean and well kept hotel. It's decor is a little dated but it served us well for one night. The bathrooms have good showers and basic toiletries and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was continental and enough to choose from. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring both the old town and coast of Marbella.
Small 2-star hotel in centre of Marbella with loads going for it! Rooms and public areas are spotless, though a little old-fashioned. Each bedroom has a balcony, small fridge and A/C. Room safe is 2 Euros a night. Comfortable bed! Hot shower over bath. Simple breakfast of cereals, cold meats and cheese, OJ, coffee etc. All hotel staff very courteous. Dozens of good restaurants and bars within yards of front door. Some noise but to be expected. Free beach towels for hire with 10Euro deposit.
This is a typical Spanish hotel in a prime location - 150m to the beach and only a little more to the delightful old town. Our room was spacious with small balcony, very clean, with linen/towels changed regularly. The shower was excellent and it had some shower gel and shampoo favours (handy if on hand luggage only) as well as an efficient hair drier. It could have done with a paint job on the woodwork and the chrome was ancient. However, the staff were all very pleasant and helpful and it was an excellent choice, superb value for money with a good continental breakfast. We would thoroughly recommend it and use it again.
Prices seem to have increased and given the basic nature of the hotel was not value for money on this occasion. Ideally located in the centre of old town Marbella near to the beach and wonderful old streets. Hotel rooms are basic and continental breakfast offered. Staff are pleasant. There are cheaper apartments with swimming pools near by, unless you can book early and get a reasonable deal.
This is my second time staying in hotel Lima. For me it is a typical Spanish hotel and when in Spain isn't that just what you want. Simple clean rooms with fridge. Light breakfast but get down by 10. All I can say is next time I'll definitely be staying there.
Our second visit to the Hotel Lima and it was just as good second time round. The location is perfect whether you want the beach, the old town, or the main road with the local buses. In each case a 2 minute walk brings you there. The continental breakfast included all the expected items, and were fresh and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful and could answer any question asked of them. The rooms are fairly basic but larger than average with tv, only uk channel was bbc world news but we weren't on holiday to watch tv, air con, fridge and safe (chargeable). Standard bathroom with toiletries - and a large shower. We'll definitely be back.
Just been to hotel Lima for the third time . As usual we had a great time .This small hotel is a little gem .If your not looking for anything 5 star then this is the place to go to . It's a small friendly place ,the staff are fantastic. The receptionist Justina, (she's the only female on reception) is so helpful & polite. She helped us with anything from : which is the best market to go to ,: bus routes : taxis: she was so friendly nothing was to much trouble. The Lima is centrally located. It's right in the heart of Marbella. Come out of the hotel and your about 150 metres from the beach,In one direction . Go in the other direction &your 2 minutes walk away from the old town. All food eateries are good value for money. We found a small little place just around the corner from our hotel . Go down Antonio Belon and take the 2 nd turning on your right go upCalle Notario Luis Oliver around 200 meters and on your left is a Swedish eatery. Tompas Bodega serves excellent food .All home made by the owners wife , the meatballs are to die for. The apple pie ,&waffles melt in your mouth. A reasonable price for a 3course meal including big jug of sangria €25 each . You can pay that on the front for a 2 course so very reasonable. The owners were great hosts and we had a lovely evening . We will be back there again next year .we can't wait to get back to the Lima , or the bodega . The cafe 2 was also great food, as was the pizza place a little further down, the palms bar which is on the beach is good value you can eat in or they do take away so you can eat on the beach if you wanted to. We had a late flight back so they made us sandwiches to take on the plane which was great. The lucky lucky men have some good deals to be done if your looking for a bargain, barter hard you will get a bargain. Marbella did not disappoint enjoyed every minute. Roll on next year.
Fantastic location, good value with amazing staff!! My only slight criticism is that the location means that it's noisey at night time but what can you expect when you stay so central.... See you next year Hotel Lims :-)
Stayed at Hotel Lima for two nights staff here are very accommodating & friendly, Paid for breakfast which is very basic, as is the accommodation , however it is clean and comfortable , the hotel is central so you would have no problem finding meals out if you needed , prices to stay here are also very reasonable which is a huge factor , so all considering brilliant hotel would stay here again most definitely !
