The staff was great. Friendly and helpful. Adjacent to a major shopping area with tons of dining choices. 15 minute walk to beach thru a park. Strongly recommend.

Although we frequent the Petit Palace hotels this time around the experience wasn't excellent. We had a very small room with large furniture that made it impossible to move around the room. When I mentioned this to the staff checked out they promised me that at my next stay I would have one of the bigger rooms. Also, the Internet was barely usable. The location of the hotel this perfect for sightseeing and eating.

We love the Petit Palace hotels but this is the smallest room we have ever stayed in Europe. There is only a small window that is close to the ceiling and almost impossible to see outside. This is not a great room for those afraid of being in enclosed quarters. Also, the room is too small for the big furniture that they have placed in the room; it's impossible to move around the room because the furniture is in the way. Although the room has Wi-Fi it was impossible the majority of the time to gets a signal. The breakfast was basic. I'm glad it was included in the price of the room because others had to pay €10 per person.

This hotel is located in th perfect spot. Shopping, restaurants, atractions. Everything is near

This hotel has awesome central location, nice rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are a bit on smaller side and our "queen" bed was just two twin beds put together. However, we weren't in the hotel much, so it did not matter. Highly recommended!

During the Spain-Portugal world cup match I would wander out for a bit just to get a taste of the excitement, and then go back in to continue my work. Such easy access to the old city center was ideal.

Petit Palace Plaza was very close to the Port of Malaga less than 10 minutes and approximately 15-25 min. from the Airport. A lot of Restaurants and Stores for shopping.

The Petit Palace Plaza was great for two Americans who speak limited Spanish and who did not want to rent a car! The hotel was updated on the inside about 2 years ago to be a technically modern hotel. Our room had a computer which we used to help locate information on the internet and stay in touch with email, facebook, family, friends back home, etc. The outside had the look and feel of an old red Spanish Andalucian palace. The hotel is small, clean and centrally located in the heart of Old Malaga. The taxi ride from the airport was about 15 mins and literally dropped us off on the square at Calle Marques Lario. This is an Excellent location for shopping, dining and walking to all the local sites. The Picasso Museum, Castillo de Gibralfaro, the Alcazaba Teatro Romano, Plaza de Toros and the Cathedral "La Manquita" which we could see from our balacony window, were all within 5-10 mins walking distance of the hotel. The staff spoke perfect English and was very friendly. The buffet breakfast was the best desayuno we had in Spain. We would definitely stay here again. Our only fear is that with the more attention this hotel receives the less likely it will be available in the future. The only things missing were a pool (this was not a requirement for us) and an ice machine, but the staff did provide ice upon request. The only warning? This location is a little noisy on Friday and Saturday nights due to the many tapas bars in the area and the fact that the Spanish people eat dinner later (9pm to 12am). The locatin was worth the noise.

Interesting building, historic exterior, ultra-modern new interior. Helpful staff. Rooms clean but small. Easy access to historic old town attractions, resturants, shopping, churches. Descriptions of the hotel neglect to mention that you can't drive anywhere close to the hotel - historic area where its located is all walking - you have to park in a garage several blocks away and schlep your bags quite a ways.

I have nothing but praise for the location, decor, helpful staff, onsite breakfast, in room laptop with internet access. The only minor negative comment is the bed mattresses would slid around on the bed frame. I would highly recommend this hotel. Other comments complained about lack of parking but we didn't have a car and could very comfortably walk everywhere we needed to go in town. We took the bus to go to a neighboring town for 5 Euros.

The Petit Palace was great, right in the heart of central Málaga, so it was easy to get to all the tourist attractions and the beaches. The only drawback is that it's difficult to find. It's tucked back away on a tiny side street off the main calle Marques de Larios, but if you aren't looking really closely, you can walk past it once or twice. But otherwise, the room was great, breakfast was really good (although not free), the hotel overall was very nice and modern. and the staff was really friendly. I would recommend staying here, especially in the quadruple room, for example, if you are traveling with children or a group. Our quadruple had a full size bed (my parents slept there) and then my brother and I took the bunk beds on the other side of the room...there's even a privacy curtain that drops down to seperate those two sides of the room. Also, if you park in one of the parking structures close by, bring your ticket to the front desk and they will give you a discounted rate. Overall, nice place!
