Three nights spent here have been fantastic. The hotel is superb. The food in the resteraunt and outside bar is gorgeous. The staff couldn't be more helpful, especially reception. The pool area is lovely and clean with plenty of sunbeds. Highly recommended.

Recently stayed at the hotel for three nights from the 15th June 2017, excellent as always, lovely rooms, great breakfast, excellent pool area...will definitely be back, the best hotel in Fuengirola !!

Having never been to Fuengirola before, we decided on this hotel after reading previous TripAdvisor reviews and on the main we were not disappointed. Lovely sea front location and although this hotel is situated on the outskirts of town we didn't find the 25 min walk to the centre a problem, even with our grandson in tow. Reception staff were very helpful and managed to provide a family room even thought we didn't book this. The rooms were clean and tiny, although the decor was a little dated (personal preference). The pool area was clean and well presented with plenty of sun loungers and lots of space. The main pool is a good size and the children's pool just enough. We went for the bed and breakfast option and found the breakfast more than adequate with a great selection on offer. We also tried the food from the pool bar and would highly recommend the fish grilled over the open barbecue. The staff were enthusiastic, warm and friendly which made us feel comfortable and happy to be there. Generally a very nice space to relax in. What stops this hotel from being great are minor points. The gym isn't open until 10am and is not open every day. The evening entertainment was average. The kids disco, although not well attended when we went, was held in a large empty function room in a lower part of the hotel, which didn't give a great atmosphere. There's also the small point of the life guard stopping my daughter throwing a 6" ball to her son while sat in the children's pool. There were 6 feet apart and no one else was in the pool but we were told "it's against the rules". A bit of common sense sometimes goes a long way. All said, we would highly recommend this hotel and definitely consider going back.

High rooms have fantastic view. Triple rooms on ground floor great for families and less mobile. Next to beach 10 min walk to main town and shopping center . low key Entertainment outside of school holidays aimed at adults Great place to chill

The hotel is in the quieter end of Fuengirola but still in a good location right by the beach with very friendly and helpful staff, English speaking receptionists, food was great with good choices even Cava if wanted at breakfast, staff always replenishing the trays, the lady cooking eggs was brilliant. 10 minute walk along river to big Miramar Shopping Centre, 20 minutes pleasant sea front walk to town and bus and train stations. There are bus stops a short walk outside hotel to Marbella, Cala de Mijas (good Sat. market) and Fuengirola. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Right at the end of Feungirola, this hotel is in a quite beautiful beach front location. Yes it is a bit out of the way, but if you are able to walk then you will find a lovely walk to nearest pubs and restaurants. Otherwise, the hotel has a lovely beach bar and restaurant. A bit pricier than you would pay outside, but that's to be expected. The hotel rooms are large, very clean and maid service daily. Air conditioning, and plenty wardrobe space. Small table and chairs in room and there is a furnished balcony too. The views from the balconies are stunning. Do not think there would be a room with a bad view. Lifts are good, although took a bit of time to get used to taking the right lift for our block. We were only on bed and breakfast but the breakfast were very good. Freshly made omelettes, aswell as other eggs while you wait. Choice of fruit, breads, cheeses, meats, pastries, cereals, aswell as the usual cooked breakfast items i.e. sausage, bacon beans etc. fruit juice and tea and coffee were also available. Staff were friendly and efficient. Only staff I felt was not as pleasant was the bar man at the lobby bar, but then again poor man was working on his own and was rushed off his feet... So guess it must be a bit stressful. Reception staff were very helpful. Pool areas are well kept, lovely and clean and plenty of beds. Gym facilities are average but open too late in the morning... most hotels open the gym at 6am but here its 10am.. we like to use the gym before breakfast and this was not possible. sadly we did not use the gym as much as we would have liked. it also closes at 2pm on 2 afternoons..... We still enjoyed this visit, and thoroughly enjoyed our walks along to the nearest bars. All in all, good 4 star hotel.

Set just off the main roadway this hotel can be a a bit of a nightmare to drive in and out of. Nice setting albeit a brisk 25 minute walk to centre of town. Large frontage with marble floors and opulent fittings. Spa tucked away downstairs will small gym. Hotel is split into 2 sections accessed via key operated doors (didn't always open first time). Rooms are fine, large enough but no baths as recently updated to large showers. Ask for Sea/Pool view as worth the difference. Food at breakfast was good range and lots of it. Staff good but not enough of them. 2 pools reasonable size and clean.

This is the second time we have stayed at the IPV Palace & Spa and we will be returning for a 3rd visit next year. Our trip was for 7 nights from Edinburgh airport, 2 adults on a Sunshine break, half board. The hotel is quite close to Malaga airport, its on the coast and on the coast road so access is excellent. The cab ride is around 35 Euro's when booked with the hotel and takes about 20 minutes. Malaga airport is massive but quite easy to find your way around. Our flights were with Jet2. We booked a double en-suite with sea view but I believe all the rooms have sea views, we were on the 4th floor. Nice and clean with a good comfortable bed and modern shower area. It had a small balcony which over looked the pool area and gave an excellent sea view. If your driving, there is ample free parking at the front. When you enter the hotel you will experience the biggest reception area I've ver seen and the staff there are friendly, quick and professional. Safe hire & towels can be done when you arrive. Trips can be arranged also via reception. The hotel is nice and cool with ample aircon in the rooms and public area's. Excellent wi-fi.Off reception there is a nice balcony bar and in the evenings the grand piano will be playing for you. The bars are waiter service unless you prefer to go up to the bar yourself. Food, excellent and lots of it, fresh everything, quite amazing. The chefs will cook your eggs for you or fish and meats, to your taste. If you cannot find what you normally like to eat then you really are fussy, it is quite amazing how much food they have in the large restaurant area. You can eat inside and out, your choice, waiter service to your table for drinks and anything else you may need. All the staff are very friendly, very helpful and a joy to talk to. Breakfast is 7.30am to 10am and dinner from 7pm to 10pm. Lunch can be had at the pool side bar or you can obviously nip out and use one of the beach bars which serve excellent food, especially if you like your grilled fish. There is no real shop for things like water and small bits and bobs but if your desperate you can go over the main road to the garage/shop the other side, you can obtain water from the restaurant in large or small bottles and from the bars. Payment for drinks is either put onto your room or you can pay cash as you go, your waiter will write out a receipt for what you have and you take that to the restaurant reception. Nice pools and pool area but we prefer the beach which is right outside the hotel, there is a lovely Spanish Gentleman who runs the sunbeds an parasols, 5 Euro's per bed which includes the parasol, he also sell's cold drinks, crisps etc.The beach is blue flag, very big, long and clean. Very peaceful indeed. Just a couple of minutes along the beach you will find a very friendly Spanish beach bar/restaurant where we had some most excellent lunches, lots of fish to be had and very cold beers/Sangrea. Not a lot of evening entertainment and what was on started quite late, perhaps this gets going later in the season but to be honest, after a very long day of relaxation, 10.30pm was about right to return to our room after a few nice drinks. There is an excellent spa in the hotel with very friendly and professional beauticians, recommend the body scrub and back massage. Reasonably priced too, there is a gym but we did not use that and an indoor pool within the spa area. Maid service is daily which includes the changing of towels if you need it, please tip the maids as they work very hard. The hotel appears to be a favourite with the Spanish which is always a good sign and the diverse Nationalities present showed just how popular the hotel was around Europe. Fuengirola is a short walk from the hotel, the old Town is about the best place to visit. Some of the frontage can be a bit tacky. The area is not far from Marbella, Malaga, Gibraltar, Ronda and apparently not too far from Cadiz and other very popular Spanish Cities. We did two coach trips, Gibraltar and Ronda, both highly recommended. There are lots of other spots along the coast which are easily accessible from the hotel by car or coach. Marbella is about a 40Euro cab ride if you feel the need to visit. To sum up, we highly recommend this hotel, put it on your list to visit, the staff make it so, all very happy to help you out, very friendly and genuine. A final note on Gibraltar, take Sterling with you (GBP) if you have it as that is the local currency which we forgot about and took Euro's, using Euro's there attracts a not too good rate of exchange but its still very cheap there. 4 Star hotel with 5 Star staff and service, well done the IPV Beatriz Palace.

Right at one end of Fuengirola, this gem of a hotel is perfect for a relaxing holiday. Beautifully presented; spotlessly clean; attentive staff on the reception, dining room and the beach bar- nothing was too much trouble. Amazing view from the balcony and how wonderful it was to hear the sound of the ocean when waking up! We stayed bed and breakfast and it was good- plenty of choice- including champagne!! We did not want to leave this little piece of paradise!

Just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel and first impression was very good, the reception staff were excellent and very informative with respect to the layout and facilities in the hotel. Our room was in the 3rd section which was to the right hand side of the hotel looking from the beach and on the 4th floor so we had a lovely view from our balcony overlooking the beach and we enjoyed watching all the locals surfing each night. The room was clean and large enough and the bathroom was a good size. The only thing that could have been improved was the staffing levels in the restaurant, the staff seemed to be overworked and the hotel was not very busy, the chef would be cooking the meat dishes at one end then have to move to the other end to cook the fish dishes where two chefs would have coped much better. The quality of the food was very good for dinner but the choice for starters was a bit limited, what I couldn't understand was that for breakfast there was a great choice of cold meats and cheeses but these were not available at dinner to have with your salad. Overall a very good hotel in a nice location.
