I arrived shortly after midnight and my room door did not lock from the outside or inside, no safety measure from inside the room. That means anyone could have came without a key inside my room. They had to wait until the following morning to change the whole door lock. There is one outlet next the bed and I had to alternate between room phone and charging my devices. Air conditioning runs when the balcony door is closed, which is no problem. However, during the day and at night the AC will stop and I had to get up to nudge the door for the AC to work. breakfast is terrible given my minimum healthy breakfast standard.
..Stayed here the end of March 2013.. hotel sits on a main plaza just two blocks from the shopping street San Miguel, the train station and the gay bar area. Hotel looks to be recently renovated as everything is clean and shiny. Average but adequate pool area and enclosed pool on the roof with small gym and sauna. I took half board, the buffets were average, but there was usually one or two items that were nicely prepared. Overall, a good value and attractive hotel.
My stay at the hotel wasn't so great. It definetely wasn't four star, it needs to work on a few things. When my family and I first arrived to the hotel, the staff greeted us coldly. They weren't that friendly, it was as if they didn't care. When we got to our room it was nicely kept, clean and comfortable no problem there. But everytime we wanted to go to the pool, they never had any towels. Im talking about a week with no towels. Then if we wanted anything from the hotel, they would charge us for everything. My package wasn't all inclusive but I've heard a lot of complaints about the hotel food. So I suggest, you'd be better off eating outside than in the hotel, you will save a lot of money. The hotel itself was located in a good place though,a good distance to stores, beaches and train. We've been to better hotels. Overall, the hotel definetly needs some improvement on those things I listed above.
Great hotel in a good location with shopping and restaurants all around. 20 minute walk to the beach but rooms all have view of water.
At around $50/night, this typical Costa del Sol 'luxury' property is an off-season steal: centrally located, spacious rooms, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast. But it's an old hotel, and the recent facelift was done with no apparent attention to detail, and clean is an approximation at best. It suited my purposes perfectly, but someone looking for a few nights swaddled in modern luxury would be sorely disappointed.
Great location if you want to shop but bad location if you want to go to the beach. It looks like it's on the beach but you have a stiff walk to it and it kills. As far as staff goes, they were pretty rude, ignoring you at the desk, and not very helpful if you ask questions. I would and would not recommend to a friend depending on what they're looking for.
Good clean hotel with friendly staff and a great breakfast buffet which was included in the rate. Located next to the La Nogalera shopping district with lots of good restaurants, shops and bars. Would have prefered to stay directly on the beach, however, since I found the city of Torremolinos to be tacky. To reach the beach, you need to take a public elevator which costs 50 cents each way or walk down a long flight of stairs. Other hotel comments: two nice pools, one on ground floor and one rooftop, but they could be crowded with lots of kids. Great breakfast buffet was also crowded, and there could be a long wait for the elevators. Hotel was kept very clean.
