Very friendly and helpful hotel management and workforce. Hotel Durban is a good place to stay. I will definitely stay here again.
I have been to the Hotel Durban 4 times now. The staff is great. The rooms are clean, but the bed mattresses are cheap and have severely hurt my back after a couple of days. I have never had this problem at any other hotel in my entire life. I actually Checked out a couple days early because of this problem. I will never return there unless they replace those thin cheap bed mattresses. The rooms also need a microwave. They charge you to microwave any food in the restaurant by their lobby.

this by far the best, most efficient hotel Ive stayed in 64 Philippine trips...simple but incredibly clean and exceptionally friendly staff. I will always use this hotel when in Manila.

Even their so called "Deluxe" rooms are so small, windowless and claustrophobic that I was shocked at "first sight" (is that it?). I was first given such a room on the 4th floor (possibly the best floor to be in) BUT room was so tiny with such a POOR LAYOUT (the "double" bed was not even a meter away from the entrance and, there was hardly any space to open my suitcase other than on top of their "double" bed). I asked to be moved to a bigger room, and, front desk was so kind to move me to a somewhat bigger room with a more decent layout (room gained a bit more space at the expense of the bathroom) BUT on the second floor. Both their ground (first) and second floor suffer from inexplicable inner noises (possibly due to some sort of "echo effect") that I was awaken at least twenty times during my three night stay. Hardly got any "good night sleep" at all. All in all the high point of my stay at this hotel was when I check out and left, hopefully once and for all!
only stayed one night .all the people were nice and it was just right that I was able to get some sleep . and was ready for the trip home , the next day.
Too noisy, dont have cell phone signal, dont have Windows and lift
