Beautiful Castle but make sure you upgrade.
Leeds Castle looks like it can offer a perfect stay. Its stunning, brilliant place to take a family and to stay on site is perfect for a romantic weekend break. However on this occasion it just wasnt to be. We got caught in traffic on the way so it was closing when we finally arrived. The staff were brilliant. At check in we were offered maps and a voucher for a free tea at the tearoom. The room was nice, but bed very uncomfortable and a green light in the room made it even harder to sleep. The shower was worse than my Nans. Electric And no one could call it a power shower, although what came out was lovely and hot. In such a big bathroom a wet room Shower was just cold and uncomfortable. But for a guest who needed a wet room it offered plenty of space. Sadly the weather made it necessary to close the castle the following morning, so after all that we didnt see the castle anyway. Nothing can be done about that but the staff made the best of a very bad situation for them booked at full capacity. We have been offered free entry tickets for another day which is kind. We have laughed about our disaster weekend, but sadly we can only say our stay was less than average because what we did sample (bed and shower) were both poor.
