Pai Hotsprings Spa Resort

I can see where this was once a beautiful place. It seems like a project that became too big for someone to maintain the upkeep on though. We read this in a few reviews and decided to still give it a try. We wish we had gone else where. On the plus side, the sheets are clean. The breakfast buffet was extensive. On the downside, the walls are paper thin ( I can hear someone blowing their nose next door). We reported the hot water as not working both days and it's still not fixed. The mattress feels like you are sleeping on a box spring. The "hot spring" is fed into a small man made pool with a lot of suspicious floating things in it. The property is in need of a lot of repair. Given a choice, I would stay elsewhere.

I did enjoy my stay here and even booked an extra night because the weather was good and could lay out by the pool but as others have said the resort needs maintenance. Covers for the sun loungers and little things here and there could make this resort great. It was very quiet and peaceful here, with lovely views, elephants in the river and breakfast was good and staff very friendly but it does feel a little deserted. Work being done with a few bungalows so I expect after a bit of work it will be a Fantastic place. I got a big room that was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. My friends left another resort to come here so they are obviously doing something right. We hired bikes which made gettin too and from town was very easy and accessible, well worth it. A little work on this resort and it would have been even better I felt 3 stars was harsh but it needs work, the jagged pool deck was pretty dangerous

Went here to use the Spa facilities, to say this place is in severe need of major repair is an understatement. Went to use the pool and the sun loungers have nails sticking out, the decking around the pool is all rotting with broken boards, hardly any staff going about and from what I seen the accommodation from the outside looked in the same sort of state as the pool area. It's a real shame to see this place in such disrepair as it could be an absolute gem.

Unfortunately we have stayed here several times and we will likely not stay again. The hotel and grounds need maintenance and there always seem to be a lack of staff. The staff try to make your stay pleasant, but seem limited by many things.

The resort was beautiful but a bit of a maze which was sort of scary at night. The pool was the best feature, huge with a great view. The basic rooms weren't the best, the bathroom was pretty poor as the shower floods. The resort is also 7km out of town and only offer one free taxi service a day (15 minute drive), any other taxi was about 200 Baht each way. Which meant that when we arrived at 9pm on the first night they refused to drive us into town because the taxi's had stopped, and the hotel restaurant was closed, so we had to go without food. Other than that I'd say it's a basic resort with scenic views.

Highly relaxing mid budget resort, with the outstanding hot springs you can sit in a night and contemplate the stars. The breakfast buffet has everything you need to get started for the day. While a little way from the centre of town, this place still provides a perfect base for exploring the area.

We actually took quite some time to find the hotel. But the environment is good. Staying in the nature made us feel relaxing. The room was quite comfortable. The restaurant is beside the river and the view is beautiful.

We travel a lot all over the world and have seen so much already, but when we arrived to this resort we were shocked. We haven't got a single smile from the staff during our stay here. Every time we asked something, the first answer was "No, it's impossible". The only friendly person there was an old lady working in the restaurant, unfortunately don't know her name. Breakfast was OK. The room didn't look clean, the bathroom was so shabby, so I could hardly take a shower there, feeling disgusting. The room is not sound proof, you can hear your neighbor snoring. The water in the hot-spring pool was dirty. Massage in so-called spa was far from perfect. We asked them to book a New Year Eve dinner in a good restaurant and they couldn't do anything, they didn't even know a good local restaurant! We had to find it ourselves. Stay away from this hotel!

Staying there is like staying in the Jungle ! A Thai cottage in the hills, a Thai house near the Pai river. The Chalet in big , well kept, and clean. beds are nice shower is roomy and comfortable.Breakfast is good and the view on the river is beautiful.

Disappointing experience. We booked a river facing room with a private spring-fed bath tub only to find that at certain times of year (dry season, which is peak travel time!) there is no spring water to fill the bath. This was not advertised or explained, and the staff did not seem at all phased that the room was not as advertised. And at dinner, the waiter failed to tell us they had run out of one of the dishes we ordered until he brought out the other dish! Noise was an issue, with a malfunctioning water pump making loud mechanical noises just outside the wall at the head of our bed that kept us up in the middle of the night. Rooms are nicely appointed and very spacious, but without advertised amenities I don’t think they are worth it. Breakfast spread is large but low quality.
