The room was adequate, clean , however the walls are thin and it was very noisy from the hallway

Wifi is not free, safety box requires to deposit 10euro.

Location is amazing. Staff is rude. Good value for money

Great location and value for your money! Would def recommend!

The front staff was ok but they were not always friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious or one person. The beds and pillows were really uncomfortable. However, the location cannot be beat for the price.

You could walk to many places of interest from the hotel, such as El Retiro Park, the Communications building, the Royal Palace, etc. It is located on an important avenue. The Internet didn't work well, even though you pay for it. It is very noisy through the wall, you can hear everyone speaking, and the wood floor have a cracking noise when you walk on it. Overall, it was allright.

This is the second time I stay at El Regente. Location is great, clean rooms, nice staff. Met my expectations. Carlos was great.

Convenient location. No free wifi. Small Room, Clean and cheap

This hotel is nothing special unless you enjoy other people's noise. Someone flushes a toilet, you hear it. Someone next door snores, you hear it. Traffic noise all through the night - you get the picture. A special prize goes to Madrid hotels that charge 10 Euros per day or more for internet access. Do you charge for water or oxygen or using the elevator? Some things should just be included in the price.

The best location', good staff, clean , and cheap.

I find it difficult to say anything negative about this hotel. I would definitely return there.

The hotel Regente is very well located close to Puerta del Sol. I have been there twice and I have always found a warm and friendly atmosphere.Rooms and bathrooms are wide they are provided with the necessary things to make the saty nice.I think I will visit again the hotel and will reccomend to my friends,

It's pretty cramped there and there's no wifi in the rooms, but it's a place to stay in a good location in the heart of the city center.

This is a perfect place if your staying in Madrid for a day. It's a basic place with your basic needs. Have to pay 13 euro for 30 minutes of internet, 12 euro for TV access and 13 euro for breakfast. It's near everything Madrid has to offer and metro stops very near by.

Clean room, except bathroom smelled of sewage for our entire stay. Comfortable beds and great location. Front desk staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Also our room was located 2 floors above the breakfast restaurant and it was still very loud in the mornings. Wifi internet is NOT free at 2 euros for half an hour, or 10 euros for the whole day. Good location and comfortable beds do not make up for an unfriendly staff and lack of free Internet considering the price.

not a luxury, not a dump. good location with clean rooms.

Location pretty sums up everything about this hotel. Everything. Else is just run off the mill. Currently under renovation, is not a nuisance though.

The hotel was under construction so the lobby was a mess. The staff is just plain rude. They have attitude and have no graciousness. They are annoyed and abrupt by a guest question. The internet is not available in the rooms. It is only on the hotel computer in the bar that one can get service and in any case you must pay 2 Euros per half hour anywhere in the hotel.

Great location. Good price. Tiny room as you would find in mid priced NYC hotels. Certain amenities that are a given in the US would have been welcomed (alarm clock, ironing board).

The location of the hotel is in the heart of everything you would like to see and do and Madrid. The hotel itself though is an old building with very few amenities and the service was quite poor. For the money there have to be a ton more places to stay while still being convenient. The Ayre Gran Hotel Colon is a great hotel that is in a quite area but still a short subway ride away from everything...and it's cheaper.
