Nice clean, friendly hotel on the main drag in Madrid. Great location. This was recommended in Rick Steves book and he was right. Great rooftop sitting area to enjoy a glass or two of wine. The Grand Via metro stop is just on the corner. Super convenient. Walked to palace, retro park, Prada museum from hotel. Highly recommend this place.

Stayed in room 203 for 3 nights. The hotel was within walking distance to everything. There's lots of restaurants, stores and bars right next to the hotel. The room is on the small side, but worked fine. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the plaza below, which was a nice bonus. There was also a really great roof terrace with fantastic views of the city. There's a metro station right outside the hotel, but since we were able to walk to everything we never used it. The only downsides was, we never had a hot shower. The water was just semi-warm each morning. I personally like really hot showers, so the semi-warm water made me sad each morning. The elevators were also tricky when you had luggage. There are (2) elevators, but both are really small. There's 9 floors in the building and other hotels on higher floors. The elevators were full of people everything time the doors opened, so we would have to keep waiting for the next empty elevator cab to come. This process could take a while sometimes. We were on the third floor so we used the stairs each day, however the day we were checking out of the hotel it was time intensive. We had our luggage and ideally wanted to use the elevator, there was another couple with luggage waiting ahead of us having the same issue, so we ended up just carrying our luggage down the stairs. We were traveling for several weeks, so our bags weigh 45 to 50 lbs each and made the traverse down the stairs difficult.

Slightly quirky hotel in an art noveau type building located in the pedestrian precinct in the heart of Madrid. Great location but you may need to close the double-glazed balcony doors if you have a room at the front as the crowds are fairly noisy into the wee hours

Located just off the Gran Via, the location of this place is ideal for a weekend away. The rooftop area is lovely, although it not having a bar is a shame. The room we had was lovely & big with great decor and natural light. We didn't use the communal areas but would be a great advantage for people travelling on their own or for work

This is a brilliant hotel in a phenomenal location. Right beside the metro and a 2 minute walk from the sol square you couldn't ask for a better location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and well maintained with a lovely rooftop terrace with great city views for sunbathing and relaxing with some drinks which the hotel allow you to bring yourself.

My friend and myself spent the bank holiday weekend in Madrid, staying at the Prakitik Metropol. Really recommend this hotel. The lounge and rooms were awesome and the hotel has a roof deck which has a great view over the city. Location - we took the airport express and got off at Plaza Cibeles, and the hotel was a 10 minute walk away. Some highlights were El Retiro park - 10 mins San Miguel Market - 10 mins Temple of Debod for sunset - 20 mins circulo de bellas artes for rooftop drinks - 5 mins. We visited the Santiago Bernabeu for Real Madrid game which was great, would recommend trying to catch a game in Madrid, be it Real or Athletico.

This spot was a central and fun spot for our stay. I fell in love with the room, it's corner windows and balcony. Though our room was located right above the super busy McDonalds, the double glass and double doors blocked out most of the sound. It was great for people watching from the balcony too. The streets come alive! The hotel also has a beautiful garden rooftop, which has plenty of lounge bed seating and seats. The views are amazing, particularly at sunset. Sunset up there was one of the best ways to cap off a busy day in the bustling city. Perched in the garden high over the city, we were able to watch from all angles as the city became bathed in golden light. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby offers more seating with very cool boutique furnishings and a long dining table. Our room also had a stunning white tiled bathroom and clothes hanging storage. I would stay again, but I'd make sure I had the same room.

As everyone has mentioned....great location on a pedestrian street with a Metro station right outside and right off Gran Via. Bright and modern inside, clean, large rooms (902 was ours) and the rooftop terrace was worth the stay in itself. You can easily walk to great restaurants, shopping and everything you want to see & do in Madrid. The terrace has 2 areas and for the most part fairly quiet so we always had a lounger to relax in the afternoon. It showcased panoramic views of the city and it was amazingly quiet. I recommend grabbing a coffee and pastry for breakfast in one of the many cafes right outside the doorstep as the choices are endless and reasonably priced. We would stay here again without question the next time to Madrid.

We had an amazing three nights at this hotel. We had a superior double and paid around 240 euros for three nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel doesn't have a bar but thee is a Carrefour express across the street to buy cheap drinks from. The hotel also has a roof top terrace with stunning views over Madrid. The location is perfect for visiting the city: 30m from te Gran Via metro station and a few minutes walk to the popular Puerto Del Sol. If you're coming to Madrid don't bother looking to stay anywhere else. I can't see the price and location being beaten!

The hotel is located right at the corner of Gran Via and Montera streets, and within a stone's throw of the Gran Via metro station. It is within walking distance of Madrid attractions. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, including fast food ones. There is also a grocery store (Dia) just a block away from the hotel. The area itself is very crowded and touristy. Calle Montera apparently is a "red light" area so there are ladies working all day and all night, however, the area never felt unsafe. We were on the 5th floor and we never heard the noise from the outside so they have pretty good sound proofing. The check in process was easy, and the staff were very friendly and super helpful. There is a kitchen/dining area where you can bring outside food to eat, and there is a nice rooftop patio where you can relax and enjoy a beautiful view of Madrid. We got an exterior room with a balcony and it was nice, clean and big. I really like the high ceilings. My complaint is that the AC wasn't cold enough and that the bed consisted of two smaller beds joined together so I kept on falling through the middle. Also, our room keys stopped working sometime through our first day, but the staff got it sorted out pretty quickly. The price is really reasonable, and I would highly recommend this hotel in Madrid.
