This hotel is 50mins Public transport (1.50 euros) away from Madrid centre or 25 euros Taxi , we had to stay out all day as too time consuming to go back and freshen up for the evening, Room was large and very clean, large comfortable bed. Bathroom had great shower and bath tub Front desk staff were very indifferent, didn't seem to care ,Don't trust the so called shuttle bus service.. tried to book to go to the airport at 11.30 they said it was full and could offer me 08.30 or 15.00, hmmm they should scrap this service or offer a much improved one, But overall I guess you get what you pay for , so at £130 for 3 nights I suppose I shouldnt be too disappointed, if I return to Madrid I will choose a hotel much closer to the centre, I would pay more for a better location, front of hotel looks nice, lifts worked very well, everywhere was clean and tidy

The hotel literally is in the middle of nowhere, so independently of what you see in the adds, try to avoid this one if you are looking for an experience of Madrid. the location is in between the airport and the city, and around the hotel is nothing bur office buildings. Even to find a taxi in some occasions is difficult although in the reception they always say the same "go to the corner there is a taxi stop" is not always like that. The hotel is very old, and needs a renovation, everywhere scream "seventies". The service is not motivated and sometimes even not very friendly. i would not recommend the hotel in any case having the chance to go to any other in Madrid.

All good. Room service potentially can be improved. The shuttle service as well. The location is not so convenient compare with other hotels near Amadeus, and the shuttle is not on-demand anytime. In this kind of case most of Amadeus employee would just book the other hotels near by instead of Puerta.

Visited this hotel for a 2night trip in Madrid. Firstly, the hotel is a very clean and modern hotel. However we were given the 'Japanese' style room which was very dark due to the black painted walls and black deco. There was also a wooden bath tub which was very strange and dirty. Didn't really see much of the hotel, the rooftop was closed off for a private party and there wasn't very good restaurants in the hotel so didn't ever try any. Room service was ok, can't really go wrong with a sandwich and chips anyway. Location isn't the best. Close to the airport, but about 20 mins away from the city. The surrounding area isn't the best - very run down. If I visit Madrid again I'd definitely stay more central. Okay, for the big downfall - I felt very unsafe. The evening of the first night, myself and my younger sister were having a nap and we heard someone come I into the room and then rush out very quickly. I tried to catch whoever it was but I didn't see anyone. And also the doors having no spy holes to see who was on the other end made it difficult. But we just left it and thought it might have just been housekeeping and remembered to lock our door. However that night we heard someone trying to enter our room on TWO occasions, however as the door was locked they were unable to enter. After the second attempt, I called the reception and they said that they have called security to the room.. SECURITY NEVER ARRIVED. Two young girls staying in another country with someone attempting to come into our room twice and hotel security not bothering to look into this WAS NOT good enough. However myself and my sister wanting to make the most of our trip, we just got on with it. And luckily had no one attempt to come into our room again. But for this reason, I will never be returning to this hotel again.. as my safety and peace of mind is far more important and I would like to stay somewhere where they would've taken my safety seriously too.

Very nice hotel! Breakfast top, room and beds very comfortabel. Very good service. A bit far from the center, shuttle to the airport was available! The only thing we missed was the swimming pool. We should certainly recommend it to friends.

Staid for 5 days in June 2017 on business. Quite an interesting place with every floor created by a different designer - we were on floor 4 (all a bit cubic and metallic). Good value for money, excellent bar, good food. The problem with designer places is - you got to keep them pristine. This place is starting to look a bit tired. Scratches, bangs, lack of keeping it up in the room specifically.

We stayed 4 nights at the Puerto America. I like the concept with the choice of rooms in the different, designed floors (by famous architects). The bed and the room in general was very comfortable. Excellent breakfast buffet! The staff is friendly and helpful. Just the location is a bit away from the center, but nevertheless easy reachable by subway. Good access from the airport.

the bathroom is uncomfortable. The commodities in the room are so complicate to use. They do not have a complete package of aseo complementary. The pool was under repairer. The doors where broken. The window is too noisy

The whole concept seemed interesting : a hotel designed by 12 famous architects. However, the prices paid (those of a five-star hotel) are not worth the experience : the staff is not always friendly and competent ; the rooms and corridors are noisy ; and not all levels of the building are an architectural success ... Moreover the hotel is quite far from the city-center.

Room views are amazing and the service is as expected. Also the restaurant "Lágrimas negras" is a must. The room was very big and from the bathtub I could see the sun setting in Madrid -strongly recommend especially the upper stores.
