Excellent hotel with spacious rooms. Each floor has a different theme. Great bathrooms and a good view over Madrid from the 9th floor. Location is convenient and close to the airport. Room service and a minI bar. What more could you ask for?
A suite (number 908) for two where the toilets are visible from the bedroom and the living room. no way to hide. the bathroom equipment was old and poor. Staff is very welcoming and professional. architecture is remarkable.
I just spent one night in this hote for business, and was very happily surprised by both the completely new experience (rooms have different atmosphere/Design depending on floor) and two for its quality overall. I was on the first floor with the whole floor (corridors, doors, rooms, floor, doors, desk, sheets, pillows, towels, you name it..) white. This is an experience as the design is completely integrated with floor desk, walls, ceiling all in one piece with no angles.. think of a a room where all components are made by the same material, melted together. Other floors have different atmosphere but did not see them. Room was quite from extrenal noise, but noise from other rooms/Corridor are not null. I would not advise this room for someone who needs a desk to work,it can barely hold a laptop.Breakfast is great, super choice, all lfresh, excellent organge juice, thousands of choices. Great top floor bar.
Stayed at this hotel from 7/6/17 to 10/6/17 and it was great, each floor is designed by a different architect. This was a birthday trip to myself and travelled with my brother and sister-in-law. Not located in the centre which is what we prefer, easy to get to Gran Via (main tourist area) by metro or bus. Stayed on the 11th floor as wanted views of Madrid not disappointed. Room was spacious and cleaned each day. Staff overall more than helpful and very friendly. Cannot comment on the breakfast as not part of the package I booked but from other reviews seems to be very good. We found this hotel fantastic and will be going back in the near future.
We stayed here for the last 3 nights of our 2 week Spain trip. I chose this hotel based on the fact that it was a 5 star. Having stayed in 5 star hotels throughout the world, let me tell you that this is not a 5 star hotel. Perhaps a 3 star. At check-in, we were told that we have been "upgraded". We stayed on the first floor. Design was pretty cool but not practical at all. The shower leaked into the hallway. There was no area in the bathroom for me to lay my makeup and bathroom stuff down. There was no hairdryer. The locker was too small to fit a 15 inch MacBook. The staff seemed like robots - there was no personalized drink or any reception for us that I have had at other 5 star hotels throughout the world. We thought staying in a 5 star hotel would make up for the fact that the hotel was far away from the city center. Let's just say that we wished we stayed in a "lower-star" hotel in the city center. I thought the airport shuttle would have made up for it, but it was booked, so we had to splurge $30 for the cab to the airport. This hotel was not worth it.
Booked this 5* hotel to celebrate our anniversary. Were given a choice of three floors, as each floor is designed by someone different. We chose the floor by Ron Arad with the circular bed. The oval bath is big enough for two. Worth visiting each floor just to see the different concepts in the lift foyers. There is a heated pool on the top floor. This is aimed at the exerciser rather than people looking to relax by the pool. The sun loungers face each other and its quite dark. If you are looking to lounge by the pool this is not the hotel for you, but if you want a quick swim between sightseeing, it is fine. There is also a gym (untried) On level 13 there is a glass floored walkway around the lifts. Only for the brave. Glass Lifts give a view of the city. Breakfast is plentiful and there is a good range. Free wifi was easy to access. Hotel is near the Metro, so easy to travel to all the city sights. It is in a residential area, so feels safe and there are shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Have recommended this hotel to others already.
Worth to try this hotel if you are looking for something exciting. This hotel takes accommodation to a new level. Firstly, all the lifts are facing outside so no matter which floor you are staying, you get the chance to see the city from an altitude. There is also a skywalk (clear glass floor) on the top floor for anyone to experience the height. Every floor has its own theme, so if you have a group of friends, try to stay in different floors, it would be interesting to see different themes of rooms throughout the hotel. However, some designs might inspire you and at the same time not quite normal for living.
we were looking for hotels with decent room sizes ++ inhouse restaurant + pool for the kids without paying too much. while not the cheapest hotel in the city it at least catered to the room size with a stretched budget target. restaurant was super good as was the rooftop bar and the open bar downstairs. service team was at par with any 5 star hotel of Europe without the snobbishness that comes with it ;-) beds were comfortable and the breakfast spread very good. all in all, highly recommended for all kinds of groups - party groups, families with kids or couples, business on a leisure city trip!
I chanced upon this hotel on a magazine and were attracted by its unique concept, where every floor is designed by a different designer. Decided to stay 1 night as a stop over from South America before returning home end May 2017. I am glad I made that choice! To see the different designs at each level is really a very interesting and unique experience. The only regret for me was not having chosen level 2 (Zaha Hadid Space Club) at the time of booking - the picture online for the room cannot translate the awe that one experience when you enter the level. The pure whiteness at the lobby gives you an immediate awe and calmness. The other lobby that is equally impressive is level 8. Unfortunately we did not get to see the interior of the rooms so I cannot comment on the rooms. We stayed at level 11 (because we love high floors) and honestly it was quite good (albeit a bit dark for my liking} and pleasant. The room design is lively and colourful, and served well to lift up our spirit. It also has a nice view of the city centre. With regards to the location, it is near the airport (great as a stopover) and more importantly, it provides FREE shuttle (between 7am to 9pm) to and fro the airport (need to inform the hotel on your arrival) AND to and fro city centre! The staff (especially Alberto) were very pleasant, friendly and genuine. At the 13th floor was the swimming pool and gym, both were a tad small, but at the same level is the glass floored walkway which is really fun to walk on. I did not get to try the breakfast as we had to leave early for the airport. In summary, a great hotel with fun-filled, unique experience, coupled with friendly staff and the convenience of free shuttle.
Situated on a busy main road a way out of the city centre, the developers invested in making the hotel a wacky wonderland, with each floor designed by a different world renowned architect. If only everything else had been given so much thought. My room was amazing, but spoiled by small details. There was very little storage space, no drawers at all, so I had to keep some of my things in my suitcase when I would prefer to unpack properly. The TV remote only worked if I stood right under the screen - no use if I was in bed or the funky oval bath. I dropped my key, which was the same colour as the floor and needed to use the torch on my phone to find it, as all the lights in the room went out - the key not being in the master slot. Colleagues on other floors were unable to find the switches to turn off the lights in their rooms and had to sleep in eye shades. That said, it was still great fun watching the different floors - all so different - from the lift. Breakfast was fine - plenty of fruit, delicious grilled vegetables, eggs, meat, pastries and Spanish fare. Reception staff did what was necessary but never seemed pleased to see you. In spite of all the small disappointments, however, I am so glad that I stayed there. The pool was lined in steel - great fun swimming on the 13th floor with Madrid stretching away all around you.
