The hotel is very sweet and friendly, truly seeming to value to the experience of those staying. The room was comfortable, the bathroom modern with great water pressure and heat. We ate breakfast at the hotel each morning, and the buffet options were catered to just about every possible diet or preference. The staff (particularly Vanesa) were also very willing to accommodate strange requests and even made Bulletproof coffee especially for us. The location of the hotel is also perfect - within walking distance of Prado Museum, Real Palace, the metro and shopping. The best option we could have chosen!

Great hotel in very central location. Close to Gran Via and lots of shops and bars/cafes. Pedestrianised square with cafes in front of the hotel. Got upgraded to a suite with a Jacuzzi, free of charge; (although it was an attic room with a generator directly outside, which was a little noisy at times). Other than that the hotel seems pretty quiet. Friendly staff, very clean, free cycles available (though we didn't take advantage, as everywhere we wanted to see was walkable). Got a great deal on hotels.com.

I was here on business in the middle of November and had a good overall experience. The standard room was small but normal for most inner city hotels in capital cities. It was facing the Plaza del Carmen, so if you prefer less noise, I would recommend rooms facing the other way. I stayed during the week, so the noise level was low but I can imagine it can get quite busy on the weekends. Cleanliness of the room was OK. The best and desks were spotless, however the bathroom has a lot of brown watermarks on the floor and minor mold on the tiles in the shower. I cant speak for every room but this was present in my particular bathroom. The shower is also not designed very well. It has three different sources of water coming out. A shower head which can be removed, a top shower head which can be adjusted and lastly two seperate streams that are supposed to project on the back or chest. If you have sensitive skin the last option can really hurt, so please be careful if you are short as they can seriously damage your eyes. Also the shower has a glass wall that only partially covers the shower area, resulting in a lot of water ending up on the floor. That could explain the water marks on the floor. It can also result in people slipping on the floor after someone has finished washing themselves. Again be mindful when entering the bathroom after someone has showered as it can be hazardous. If you are here for business, you have to ask for a ironing board at the front desk. The hotel could do with investing in a full size board, as the only one available for me was minature one which you have to iron on the bed because the power sockets didnt reach in any other place. The bed was generally comforatble but made a lot of noise when getting in an out. It could do with a matress change in some rooms. Overall the staff was very helpful and friendly and I may come back here one day.

Location, friendliness of staff, breakfast and the quality of fixtures and fittings in the room (esp.the shower!) were all outstanding! What a shame the room was tiny and claustrophobic!! I can't imagine what it would be like with 2 people sharing....Are there bigger rooms? Best wishes Robert Breen

I was really happy with my stay here. Perfect location. The staff were extremely helpful and super friendly. The room was clean and quiet, and the bed really comfortable. For the price and location, you can't say better in Madrid. Make sure you ask if your room comes with free WiFi that you can use all throughout Madrid and beyond. I didn't realize that until a few days into my stay. I highly recommend!

Have stayed at this exact hotel several times and been happy however this was a very bad experience. They put us in a room that had heat blasting and could not be turned off. We asked to change rooms and they told us if the problem "did not fix itself" we could moved. Shortly after we asked again to be moved and, oh whoops we sold that room and you have to stay where you are. The whole room smelled of urine and we did not sleep at all it was sweaty and hot in the room

Coming from Barcelona and staying at Petit Palace there, we knew we are in good hands. We were wrong because Petit Palace Plaza del Carmen was excellent. As soon we entered, we were greeted by Miriam who always had a smile on her face. She was very friendly and polite and very very helpful. Our room was perfect. It was quite and spacious. They had also set up a playpen for our infant. Veronica, the late night shift receptionist was also awesome. She too had a smile at all times. She helped us find a yummy churro place. The breakfast cafe was very nice and petite. The selection was great too. Vanesa was very professional and welcoming every morning. Overall this place has some great people and the perfect location. Highly highly recommend this hotel and their other locations. Gracias.

We stayed for 4 nights after a bad experience in a previous hotel, and we loved every moment. The rooms are comfy and nicely decorated, comfortable beds and a great breakfast. Special thanks to Miriam from the clerk who was kind and lovely.

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of a whirlwind tour of Spain. You probably already know that the location is great, just off the Puerta del Sol, close to several train lines and in walking distance to the main attractions in the city. What's also great is the very informed and friendly people working at the front desk, who were the best out of the several hotels we stayed at in Spain. The room was also nice, well air conditioned with a large shower if a little small overall. Even though there was a limited amount of room around the bed I still wished there were a night stand there.

We chose this hotel because of the location and price...and we had an excellent experience! The rooms were small, except for the bathroom, which was luxurious. But really, when visiting Madrid, who has much time to spend in a room??? Very comfortable beds, and even though we were facing the plaza, the noise at night did not bother us. Breakfast was great, featuring a wide variety of quality foods, from 7:30-10:00. The best Metro stop for us was the Grand Via (turn right on plaza from the hotel, then right on the sidewalk, and right on Grand Via. It is just a few feet) The Metro was easy to ride, and the Grand Via light blue line took us directly to the museums and train stations without changing lines. A 10-ticket card was 12.20 Euros that can be shared. A huge variety of restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance to this hotel; we couldn't have chosen a more convenient location. Perhaps most outstanding at this hotel, however, is the wonderful staff. Carlos, at the desk, went out of his way to help us (even making a call to Aerocity for me) and spoke excellent English. He made us feel most welcome! This hotel receives my highest recommendation!
