The hotel is located just off the Gran Via in the centre of Madrid. Their interiors including the rooms look a bit old and in need of refurbishment. There appeared to be only one old lift servicing the hotel. On the plus side the staff are very helpful, The breakfast offered was very good.
Good breakfast. Nice location. Allmost everything you need to see is in walking distance. Mostly nice staff. On the negativ side. Very small room and a little smell coming costantly from the bathroom. Stil, very reasonable price.
We stayed 3 nights here. Part of it was closed off for building works so our windows were dirty and we had to keep the curtains closed. The sliding wardrobe door didn't stay shut and the air con unit was very noisy. The doors on the shower cubicle didn't meet and the whole room just lacked tlc. The breakfast however was amazing. Continental, cooked ,fruit ,yogurts, breads, jams. Very plentiful and kept well stocked.
A small room but quiet one,Great location and great Breakfast ! Very close to the big abstractions of Madrid. Reception desk stuff very qualified and helpful peeking up the right attractions for the right time. breakfast is fresh and appetite !
Unfortunately due to the small size of the room it was very hot inside the room, window could not be opened due to very noisy persons staying at the same hotel. The room is also very dated with paint chips falling of the ceiling in the bathroom. Also English speaking staff would be necessary in a hotel environment!
We stayed at this hotel for a week and this is the reason we never asked for a room change, because was hardly in our room to be bothered to move in to another one. We thought breakfast was included to be told it’s an extra charge at check in. We thought not to bother as there were several mcdonald’s around us within 5/10 min walk. The location was perfect, right in the centre. 1 minute walk from Real madrid store and 5 storey primark along with 5 min walk other stores like h&m and zara. This was the only thing that got me to rate this place a 3 was the location. Their specific location was not the best, a side road with dustbins outside, people smoking by our window so we couldn’t keep it open but had to because it was broke and never closed. So this was atrocious in the morning for the noise of building work at 7am right opposite and then the television used to turn on, on its own at 7am every morning. The air con hardly worked, We heard every footstep past our room and every laugh from people at front desk or outside the room as we were the first room there and probably in the worst room. The guy that checked us in was lovely though and really nice. The room was run down and was more like a hostel, the shower was falling apart and had hair on it when one of the knobs fell off the shower. God knows who’s. The television was only in Spanish but luckily the wi-fi was quite good so we could watch netflix on our phones. Tbh because we never had breakfast we just went in and out the hotel and didn’t even explore it because our room was opposite the front desk. Also one of the plugs was broke and not working and one of the light switches so yes it was very run down and needs a bit of tlc in the future, especially the room opposite the front desk. It was quite small but there was 2 of us so it wasn’t that bad but more than 2 would have been too small.
Centrally located within easy reach of museums, galleries and restaurants, close to the main shopping thoroughfare of Gran Via. Friendly and helpful staff, particularly Angelines in the breakfast restaurant. Good stay for a 4 night long weekend.
Well located but the hotel is in need of renovation. There as a nasty smell in my room and the solution given was air freshener. Also the staff doesn't seem very professional, the cleaning crew is cleaning the common spaces like dinning room and entrance of hotel during the morning, regardless if costumes are having breakfast or not.
Excellent location at a nice price. The hotel is within walking distance of most major Madrid sights, and it's a friendly place with helpful staff. Our room was on the small side, but we had a spacious private balcony and a nice bathroom, and the whole place is kept very clean. The breakfast comes at an additional fee but absolutely worth considering - really good buffet with many tasty options for all tastes and requirements.
The Hotel room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom shower wall unit needed urgent attention barely hanging on the wall. Cleaning under the wash unit needs reviewing as well as the broken state of the glass top.AC unit not very effective. However all said staff very friendly and welcoming and the location is excellent near the main tourist areas.
