Location extremely close to Metro station, but not a lot of restaurants in the area and not walking distance to downtown Madrid and its museums. Very spacious suite (2 bedrooms) for the 3 of us, and remarkably quiet, but elevator capacity was not up to the hotel’s capacity. Staff was helpful and nice, but unable to get us into our room after an overnight flight before the official time (2 p.m.), so we had to hang out in the lobby and yawn a lot. McDonalds right next door has an espresso cafe, but we preferred the Rodilla restaurant just around the corner, which also has good pastries and fresh-squeezed orange juice!
It is a little far from downtown but close to Metro. (it will take 30-40 minutes to downtown) They have one computer you can use but very slow - no print attached. You have to send an email to the front desk and they will print it for you.... Don't try this in the morning.. they are kind of bus. I asked to print a ticket in the morning but they said they didn't receive it. I have to go back to hotel and asked them if they have my email. They said yes.. and they actually received just a minute after I sent it to them. Actually, I had to wait 10-15 min to check up they received my email or not and they said they didn't get it I don't know what happened to them.. I felt like they ignored us.
Front desk staff did not go out of their way to meet my needs. Hotel did not have adapters for laptop, other electronics. No hot water kettle in the room. When I asked for one at the front desk, lady told me to come back in two hours but when I returned just said that they did not have one.No apology,no eye contact.Kept on looking down at her mobile phone. Why tell me to check back? Very, very disappointed.
Nice 2 night stay in Madrid. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean. Close access to the Metro system.
Conveniently close to the airport, which is the only advantage of this hotel. Everything feels in need of an upgrade. Even the staff seems unhappy to work there. Rooms are clean but the old furnishings and carpets make it feel dirty.
Nice hotel for a short stay. Close to the metro. Friendly and helpful staff.
