Hotel Dome Las Tablas4.0 out of 5.0

I have stayed at Hotel Dome because of its proximity to the Telefonica Spain complex. The hotel has a few shuttle bus to take you to Telefonica when needed. You just have to book it in advance. Or you can just walk for 15 minutes to Telefonica. The hotel is modern and spacious. It seems the owner is a car enthusiast and he has a great collection of cars info the lobby. If you like sports cars and you ate in Madrid then drop by and check this hotel out. The hotel is 25 minutes from the centre of Madrid. There isn't much around the hotel in terms of restaurants or entertainment. It is also about 20 minutes max from the airport. I had a pleasant say. My room was spacious and clean. It has a separate shower from the WC which is handy. The internet is free and the speed is good. The breakfast area is acceptable and doesn't get too busy. Overall it was a nice experience. Check the attached photos. :) Hope this helps
The AC for most of the rooms don't work effectively. On requesting for maintenance, the person came up only after 1 hr that too after many follow up calls. The pool is very small like a bathtub. However the service desk was kind enough to accept my request for canceling my reservation next day. They also allowed 2 hrs early checkin.
Don't be fooled by the reception area very nice with all the classic and old cars even in the so called restaurant there are classic cars to look at. The rooms are ok more or less clean/tidy with the normal facilities although I just had a shower no bath the air con certainly works as do the TV but not a lot of choice if you main language is something other than Spanish. The breakfast is passable a buffet help your self to whatever. the restaurant for the evening is miserable you really need to eat out for dinner. The bar is ok for a quick drink but closes at 11pm I found the bar staff to be difficult to engage with you ask for a drink and it seems to be a problem from them to respond in a timely manner. One thing I would say is don't eat the bar snacks all served by hand no tools just bare fingers used to load up the chips/ cheese etc. ok for a couple of nights if no where else is available.
hotel itself was ok. modern and clean. location is not best. free shuttle service exist but we were waiting for more then hour, calling hotel few times. metro station is not very close, and city is 25 min away via metro. not sure if I would choose it again.
This hotel could and should be so much better. Rooms are ok - just ok. Where the hotel falls down massively is the restaurant I asked for a menu - was offered roast beef or fish ! Really ? Breakfast - the only hot food is scrambled egg. Maybe if they spent less time placing motor cars all around the hotel and spent a bit elsewhere then this hotel could be half decent. I wouldnt go again.
Good value option for staying in Madrid. Comfy room, good parking options, staff on the whole quite helpful but the attitude of one of the bar staff was not great sadly felt like I was an inconvenience asking for asking for a larger glass for my aperitif. Breakfast to be honest, not worth the cost in my view. If you want easy access into the centre of Madrid this not the hotel for you as its over 40 mins metro to get to the centre
I was in this hotel already some time ago. this time, I've been a small apartment on the 5th floor good room, with a small entrance and kitchen, with only two drawback: the kitchen with fridge, cooker and microwave oven, is not provided with plates/bakers/pans/..., and the apartment itself is on the front side of the hotel, facing a major road, quite noisy if you keep the windows open (still, there is air conditioning, so you can manage)
The hotel is a good place to stay with good services such as the transfer to metro or other places. Room is small but it has all of we need for 1 night that we stayed there. The carpet is grimy but the rooms is clean.
This hotel is very average and needs to shake up its customer service rather than focusing on shining bonnets of flashy cars in the reception Area. You ask a question at reception and then the phone rings , another member of staff then starts talking to the original person you hoping to get an answer from and then you are forgotten about , happened more than once. Had no air con in our room for 2 days of the 3 , engineer came and looked said he would come back and let us know , he never reappeared so never got fixed No hot water for best part of 2 days , was offered free breakfast , but that was tasteless !! Rooms were ok not a hotel i will be coming back to quickly !!
We stayed for 5 nights as part of a group of 11 and we all think the staff did a great job. I can't complain and I really can't understand all the bad reviews as the rate is excellent. If I did have to complain it would not be about the lack of free water as we just bought 8 x 500ml bottles for 1 Euro at the brilliant supermarket 5 minutes up the road which has everything you could want. I can't complain about the area either as we loved it with the nice little bars and restaurants comfortably seated with locals and no painful tourists (just us). We used the tube once but its a little slow and at least a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Use taxis or uber is in Madrid now. Good way to see more of the city. Okay, a little complaint, more of a tip for the hotel, wipe down the outside surfaces in the morning to clear water/dust from seats or tables (we didn't use the outdoor furniture but it didn't look that inviting to be honest) and a tap was leaking from the side in the bathroom while on...a bit of maintenance check room by room would sort these little niggles out in future reviews. All in all, great value for money in a very Spanish area without pesky tourists. Thanks to the staff for putting up with our group, especially to the night manager on the Sunday 3rd Sep. You're a very patient man allowing us the use of your lovely reception area after midnight while we had our last goodbyes (for about 2 hours) when we had obviously had a few too many wines with dinner. Many thanks Nate Area tip: Walk down the side of the hotel out to the back, go right along Calle de Maria Tabau. Go past the excellent supermarket Mercadona. Turn left a try a few of those little bars, great tapas and very reasonably priced compared to inner Madrid. At the end of that road is Indalo, they have a tapa menu with pictures (handy) each picture is free with a drink, drinks at Indalo not as cheap as the other bars but good tapas variety! We're going back to the area next year.
