Hotel Acta Madfor

The hotel is located just opposite the metro and train station. It has a restaurant downstairs that serve a good buffet spread for only €8.50 per person. Our room was quite good as it was an accessible room with a large shower. There was also a nice balcony overlooking the city and we could even see a bit of the Royal Palace. The only issue we had was that the lift was a little slow and also very small but it was not a big problem. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We loved the location and cleanliness of the hotel. It is VERY close to the metro (across the street) and was conveniently located to all our Madrid excursions. The staff was very friendly and helpful for all our family needs: taxis, restaurant recommendations and the gym. Roberto was our front desk manager and he is our new BFF in Madrid. We will be returning at the end of the week for an additional stay. Excellent location, value and cleanliness.

Travelled to Madrid with family and friends in October and Acta Madfor Hotel was chosen as it was in a strategic location at Principe Pio station which is well connected via Metro, Bus and Cernanias. Once we arrived in Madrid Airport, we took a metro (changed at Ministries Nuovo) to Principe Pio station which is directly opposite the Acta Madfor Hotel. The hotel service staff was welcoming and kudos to Raoul who was very polite and checked us all in with a great smile. We were given 3 rooms at the upper level with overlooking terrace; a view we all greatly appreciated. The hotel is surround with many restaurants and even has fast food in the shopping mall at Principe Pio. Another plus point would be the convenience to have access to a supermarket beside the hotel for your simple purchases. The hotel is near to the Royal Palace of Madrid, Royal Cathedral, Plaza de la Armeria and Temple de Debod where you can walk leisurely too. The hotel had 2 small elevators that served us well in the upper floor and the simple breakfast served in the morning was more then ample to start the morning and day and it cost Euro8.50. The hotel rooms assigned to us were spacious and cozy. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient and we wee delighted to be greeted with a well made-up room after we return back from the day outing. However, the hotel do not have a small cooler/refrigerator in the room, which would be a plus if they were to include it for all the rooms. Overall our stay in Madrid at Acta Madfor Hotel was Very Good and would certainly come back to stay in the hotel when we come to Madrid Spain again.

We stayed at the Acta Madfor in October. It’s a lovely hotel and in a great location. There is a train and metro station across the road which is perfect for conveniently traveling into the City Centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and would highly recommend this accommodation. Madrid is a beautiful city with plenty to see and do.

This hotel is a great place to stay for a city break, rooms are clean and modern. As said before in other reviews the only thing missing is a kettle in the rooms for tea and coffees. The staff are very friendly and helpful, you’re not far away from all major attractions.

Just returned home from our stay at this hotel. First time ever writing a review but I feel this hotel deserves one. Absolutely brilliant location- pretty much directly across from Princie Pio metro station. The palace, temple debod and casa de campo park were all within close walking distance. The room was small but was very clean and modern (we were also given a balcony with our room free of charge which looked out towards the palace). Staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us. We ate breakfast one morning here and for €8.50 this was a brilliant all you can eat buffet style breakfast. Brilliant living area/lobby on the first floor which offered free use of computers/internet, a printer, tea and coffee amenities, lovely comfortable sofas and chairs as well as a massive book collection. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Madrid. P.S. thank you to the hotel stafff for the free sachet of hot chocolate late at night (and pointing us to the lobby upstairs where we could access free milk and a microwave) when the cafeteria next door didn't have any left! :)

I stayed here for one night and really liked this hotel. The location is great, just across Principe Pio Station, so it is easily accessible and very convenient to get around the city. The room itself was very comfortable and spacious, it had a very big balcony overlooking the station and the Royal Palace, which is nearby. The common areas are very nice and well decorated. The hotel has a lounge on the first floor where you can hang out and relax. Breakfast is not included and I didn't try it, so I can't comment on it.

Ecxellent service, very helpful stuff, very clean and comfortable rooms. One of the best 3* and 4* hotels we have visited in Europe. We haven't tried any food there so cannot comment on it. The hotel is highly recommended! 👍🏻

I booked five nights in Hotel Acta Madfor and was very happy with my choice. The location is great as it is opposite a major metro line therefore everywhere we wanted to go were accessible. Our room was slightly small but it did the job as we were out most of the day. The views from our balcony were lovely, with views of the royal palace which was only a ten minute walk away and free to go in from 6-8 Monday to Thursday. The breakfast was mediocre but for 13 euros each we decided this was too expensive for what we received so went elsewhere for the other four mornings. The staff are very friendly and if we had any problems I'm sure they would have been great with resolving them but lucky we didn't! I would suggest hiring the electronic bikes (there are docking stations all over the centre); we rode these around El Retiro park and had such a fun day.

Our room 510 was nothing like the rooms advertised. At £120 a night with no breakfast it was highly overpriced. A very basic room which was fairly clean.Reception staff very helpful with printing football tickets. Tea making facilities are located inconveniently on the first floor with tea/coffee sachets dispensed from a vending machine at €1 a pop! No tea/coffee making facilities in the room or any English TV channels. Breakfast at the Hotel at €8.5 wasn't worth it. The Hotel is however conveniently located on the opposite side of the dual carriageway from Principe Pio station/Metro with a single stop to Opera. A 3 day tourist Metro ticket from the Airport was good value at €18
