I spent here 3 days as a tourist and had a double room for single use. Location - 5/5 (walking distance from major attractions; metro station right next to the hotel) Room - 4/5 (Not large at all) Staff courtesy and professionalism - 5/5 Cleanliness - 3/5 Food - 1/5 (Seriously, variety can be surely expanded, but the quality of the breakfast was frightening) Price - 3/5 (I spent too much honestly, but it is also true that during my stay there was an international event in Madrid, which probably inflated accommodation demand) As a side note, rooms are too noisy.
Reasonably priced & location is why chose this hotel. Looks rubbish from the outside but inside it’s lovely. Really nice rustic coffee lounge with filled bookcases, antique furniture & comfy sofas. Rooms very nice & clean. Ours had a free to use safe. There is a supermarket next door for any drinks or snacks you might want. Opposite is a shopping mall with eateries such as KFC, McDonalds, Burger King & also there is a cinema too. Nice views of the palace from the roof terrace. A 10 minute walk to Centro. Thumbs up from us.
We picked this hotel because the price was really good, compared to the others. Location is nice, right next to shopping center and metro station. The staff was friendly, the room was ok - bit small and with some stains on the wall. They gave us a baby cot, which was a big pluse. The only problem was the elevator, which is really small and hardly fit a stroller inside. Oh, they also have a really nice lounge, and a cool terrace on the 8th floor, overlooking the Royal palace. Would probably come back.
When I stay with my boyfriend here, they were refurbishing the hotel, but they didn't advise us about it previously and two out of four holiday days are been ruined by the continuous hammering and working noise. Our room had the roof with cracks and mold;the curtains were dirty; there were just one tiny bed side table that could held just the lamp and nothing else;the loo is in an uncomfortable place and it's quite hard to use it if, you are not perfectly skinny and fit. The walls weren't thick and we have been bothered by the conversations of our neighbours. The only positive note is the hotel's position, is exactly in front of principe pio tube station.
We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed the stay. We arrived late at night but were expected and received a friendly welcome from the receptionist. Our room was great, on the 6th floor at the front of the hotel, very comfortable and clean, with a balcony and fantastic view of the Royal Palace and station across the road. The location of the hotel is perfect with rail, metro and bus just over the road and also being within walking distance of the Royal Palace and the city. It is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and would certainly stay there again if we were in Madrid and would definitely recommend it to others.
Quick and easy welcoming check-in. Room and bed were comfortable if only a bit cold in the morning in a 2° winter day, otherwise very warm at night. Very neat and modern-looking room, in any case. The bathroom was modern and the shower was great. I would have considered the stay as excellent if it had had breakfast included in my 60€ nightly rate. Being on the 5th floor the room was very quiet at all times, and I had a view towards Principe Pio station.
This hotel is located opposite the Principal station, about 20 mins walk from central Madrid or a short journey on the metro to Opera. The staff in reception are really helpful in giving directions and making recommendations of where to go. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated in black and white. There is a small hanging space, safe and tv. We also loved the lounge area, where there is a comfortable seating area and tea machine/drinks machine. Breakfast consists of eggs, bacon, pastries, toast. We stayed here 3 nights, I’d stay there again if I was going back to Madrid.
This was a really nice hotel, friendly helpful staff and close to tourist attractions (the royal palace, templo de debod etc are all within walking distance if you are able to walk a lot) and transport is just across the road (metro and buses).
Spent one night here. Very clean , nice size rooms , comfy beds , our room was on the 8th floor , great view at the back of the hotel. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was plentiful, good choice of everything, location was good.
The hotel is located just opposite the metro and train station. It has a restaurant downstairs that serve a good buffet spread for only €8.50 per person. Our room was quite good as it was an accessible room with a large shower. There was also a nice balcony overlooking the city and we could even see a bit of the Royal Palace. The only issue we had was that the lift was a little slow and also very small but it was not a big problem. The staff were friendly and helpful.
