The hotel is very well located, you can reach the major attractions of the city by feet, it's near from Gran Via but it is located in a relatively quit street. The hotel staff is nice and helpful. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is very good. The room has an acceptable size, the house keeping is well done. The furniture is relatively old and need to be changed, the pipes system in the bathroom also, when the room next to ours use water we hear the noise of the pipes in our room which can be sometimes a bit annoying depending on the period of the day. The elevator is small, outdated and sometimes you have to wait a relatively long to get it. Overall we had a pleasant stay and I recommend the hotel for a short stay in Madrid.

My daughter and I go on an annual trip every year to a new European city and have had many experiences with different hotels in the same price range. This one is by far the worst we’ve ever tried, and I’m usually looking for the good in every situation, and will only give a bad review if the experience is exceptionally bad. The two stars are given because of location and friendly staff - the rest aren’t because of the noise and lack of noise canceling features in the hotel. The rooms are laid out in clusters of four across from each other, and neither the walls nor the doors have any kind of insulation. This means that you hear Everything from the next door rooms. The entry and hallway leading up to the rooms are equally sound enhancing to the point where the receptionist using a stapler at night travels up and is magnified to the point where it wakes you. On top of this we were unfortunate to end up on the 1st floor, which is the smoking floor, and we could smell the smoke seep in from the other rooms everytime someone smoked. So although it is a cheap alternative, we will not be returning to this hotel again, because we feel exhausted and tired, in need of a holiday to catch up on the lack of rest. Not worth it.

We stayed in hotel for 3 nights staff were friendly and helpful everything was very clean rooms comfortable, breakfast was continental with plenty of choice and everything lovely and fresh . We enjoyed our stay and were delighted with how central the hotel is and very near places to eat and plenty of shops nearby.

Very central location on this hotel - also reasonably priced. Small hotel - and small rooms, but suitable for sleeping, which is all you need a room for in a big city. Breakfast available, OK, but not too much of a selection. The stay was pleasent - polite and friendly staff.

This hotel is situated in the heart of Madrid's City center, less than one block from the Gran Via. Other than great location, it offers little -- small room, smaller bath, minimal (and repetitive) breakfast. Two of the receptionist staff are friendly and helpful; the third is surly, ill-mannered and has a chip on her shoulder. The cost, considering the location, is very reasonable

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from June 18 to June 22, 1917. Our overall experience was good: the location is excellent, right in the middle of the City Center, the price is very competitive, the room is small but ok if you only plan to use it as a place to sleep and shower, and the staff is generally helpful. Two of the reception staff went out of their way to answer our questions and offer helpful suggestions; the third (Elisa?) doesn't speak English and suffers from a seriously negative attitude and surliness that would prevent us from recommending or returning to this hotel. The breakfast is very limited (some cheese and cold cuts, cereals, milk, juice, coffee and fruit): ok for one or two days, but very repetitive otherwise. As noted above, if not for Elisa we'd go to this hotel again the next tme we visit Madrid.

The hotel is located close to main shopping district, metro line for convenience to and from the airport and near bus tour stops aswel. Our room included buffet breakfast which had quite a good variety of food to choose from. Room was a decent size with a balcony and decent size bathroom. Free wifi. Nothing to complain about.

This hotel is located right beside gran via. Almost across from primark. Excellent location. We arrived here about 11 am and were told we can't check in until 2pm. We were prepared for this anyway so they held our bags until check in time. The room was a fine size. We weren't planning spending much time here anyway. There was a lift in the hotel. We were in room 104. There was good wifi in our room. It had a TV, air conditioning, a fridge wardrobe. Bathroom had quite a big shower, hairdryer and little essentials (shampoo shower gel shower cap). Breakfast was nice. There was a range of juices tea coffee, 2 kinds of cereals, pastries cheeses ham, a few kinds of bread ,a grill, fruit and yoghurt. Breakfast started at 8.30 to 10.30 (bank holiday weekend when we were there). Staff were lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a long weekend however wouldn't stay longer only reason being was that the walls were paper thin and we had to whisper any time we wanted to talk as our neighbours in room 103 would bang on the wall anytime we spoke. Excellent location great service

I stayed here for 2 nights on my own in July. It was a perfect place to stay and I would 100% recommend it and would return again with my wife. The location could not be better with everything on your doorstep. I stayed on the 5th floor in a street facing room. There was no noise from the street. The room was small but functional. The double bed was comfortable. There was a TV and safe and unlike other reviewers I was not asked for any deposit. The air conditioning was excellent and it even had the control beside the bed so as you can adjust it during the night if you need to without having to leave your bed. I was room only so never got to experience the breakfast. If you're looking for a clean comfortable room in a no frills hotel in the best location then don't hesitate in booking this. The photo is of a superb Sangria I bought directly outside the hotel door.

We stayed in the Aquaria Negresco for 5 nights early july and the hotel exceeded our expectations. Location: Right on 2 metro lines, both stations Puerta del Sol and Callao (the latter closer than Gran Via) are in less than 3min walk, makes the hotel easily accesible. The hotel itself is located on small side street of Gran Via, so you benefit both from the central location and the relative more quiet position on a small street. Rooms: Our stay in the hotel coinsidented with the Madrid Pride and the manifestation on Gran Via (1million people expected), so the personnel offered us to choose between bigger room in front with nicer view (more noisy) or smaller room in the back on 5th floor, which would offer us more quiet stay. We choose the smaller one. Note, both were standard rooms and big difference in their layout was not evident. Our room had no view (small back yard), but offered all needed - comfy twin beds, bathroom, AC, TV, free WiFi. The room was cleaned daily. Amenities: The hotel has breakfast room, which later in the day may be used to as living room. The breakfast itself is continental, but plenty to choose from - boiled eggs, salamis and cheeses, yoghurts, croissants, cereals. Also, there were fresh fruits every day. The breakfast was included in our room rate, but I saw at hotel's reception the breakfast price was 8 euro..Quite good for the quality offered. Service: The personnel was quite attentive, although no all of them spoke english. Depends on who is in charge of the particular time of day, you may not be abble to understand a word the people at hotel reception are saying. Overall: Nice budget hotel in the heart of the city, close to many shops, restaurants and public transportation. Would deffinately stay there again. The only problem we experienced during our stay was the elevator. On several occasions it didn't go to 5th floor upon calling, so I had to take it from the 1st and go to the 5th to fetch the rest of our party. Quite frustrating and not good for people with mobility problems. Reported the problem to the hotel staff and they did call technitians right away.
