This place is nothing special apart from the location it’s at. 2 mins walk to the Gran Via. The hustle and bustle of Madrid. The apartment was clean, although not cosy at all. It has the potential to be a lot better, but it seems like not much effort and time is been put into this. Check in was easy and fast. If you are just going to stop over to sleep, then this is your place.
On arrival we found there were no easy chairs, when we requested some we were informed they do not have any in their apartments. So after a day in the city there was nowhere to sit comfortably. The kitchen When getting the crockery out we found the majority is chipped. Cutlery there are only 2 teaspoons and 3 knives. The tap at the kitchen sink is so loose you feel it may well come away in your hand as you turn it on or off. There is no kettle in the apartment to make drinks with we were told to use the microwave which was faulty, the turntable failed to turn leaving some mugs boiling over while others were stone cold. The shower room, well there was so much mould in the shower tray it made me feel ill to look at it. The video of the shower compartment was taken after it had supposedly had an extra clean ! The corners on the floor have not seen a good clean in many a month. As for safety in the shower room I'm not sure how you feel about exposed electrics adjacent to the shower. The entrance door is covered in graffiti, and the front dest is situated in a room which like the whole of the building is dilapidated and generally run down. Opposite the Apartments is a Night Club, be warned if you are planning a stay over the Friday / Saturday night, be prepared for no sleep as the noise starts at approximately 9pm and goes on through to 7am. On the Plus Gran Via, Metros, Supermarkets and restaurants are all close by.
This apartment is worn down. The place is hard to find, the only way we found it was because we read on it prior to the trip. To our surprise the reviews were wrong. This apartment was not pleasant. The front desk is a little room with one desk, however the front desk guy was as helpful as he could be. Of course being Europe the elevator was small and very slow. The photos of the apartment online did not resemble the apartment at all, the door was hard to open and when we walked in the apartment was old and beaten up. There were no curtains on the windows. The main bedroom was an uncomfortable bed with old sheets. The dining area was barely standing and the extra double bed was in the middle of the kitchen. A good night's rest is needed in every vacation and you won't get that in this apartment unfortunately.
Fantastic location, just 200 mts from Plaza de Espana, the central area of Madrid. The nearest metro station is hardly 50 mts away and opposite the metro station, there is a big supermarket. The reception is open during convinient hours and check-in was a breeze. The lady manning the counter is extremely efficient and guided us as what we need to do to have a pleasant stay in Madrid. 2 rooms, well decorated and neat with all the necessary amenities. Big wardrobes and plenty of space to keep your luggage. The kitchen is well appointed and you get all the necessary utensils to cook the food. The only negative side was the extremely small dining table and the absent sitting area. The bathroom is extremely small but very tidy. The floor of the bathroom gets extremely heated up if the geyser is one and it's difficult to walk without slippers unless you want to burn your feet. But this is a small deficiency and can be overlooked when you are in the centre of the city at a much lower price compared to the surrounding hotels. Definitely recommended.
This property is in a great location - very central and with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants close by. It wasn't the easiest to find, even for the taxi driver. The manager was very helpful and readily available for local knowledge.
Good Stay Madrid This apartment is located very close to La Gran Via in Madrid so the location is ok. However the small road is depressing, perhaps the worst area in the various blocks around. In its favor, it was very close to the train station. Staff were helpful as well. It is the ugliest street in the area. It was more like a hostel with young people all around. While we were there, there were noisy people in the building directly behind the apartments. The AC was not working even though the temperatures were comfortable between the 50's and low 70's but we had to leave the windows open and had to hear the neighbors until well into the night, past midnight. The apartment was small but did have a decent kichen, washing machine and was clean and adequate. You had to walk up some stairs, not many but for handicapped people, a minor issue. There was a lift after the 12 or so steps. Made in an old building, the bedroom is small and the head of the bed does not fit against a wall and has no headboard. That means your pillow can fall off the bed. There was a sofa that turned into a full bed in the kitchen area. We are retired folks and found the place to be not what we needed. We paid for 4 nights but left after the first night rather than staying there anymore. Walked around the corner on La Gran Via and got a room in a new 4 star hotel for just a few dollars more per night that made my wife a lot happier. The place itself was not that bad. I did see the picture of that bedroom and the bed without a headboard but booked it anyhow since the reviews were not bad. Location was overall ok being close to transport and La Gran Via but is definitely the ugliest piece of road in the whole three block area. The price was not cheap enough to warrant staying there when there were other much better places closeby for not much more. Probably an ok place for younger people but would not take my wife to that neighborhood if I had to. They would not provide a refund either but we left anyways. The employees were as helpful as possible. Not the best choice for my age group. Even if I were younger, would look elsewhere.
I red a lot different comments about this place! Apartamentos Good stay is great for the money! Great location! Clean! Very friendly staff and they give all the best to make us feel comfortable and welcomed! I did a good choice when i booked this place!
Absolutely centrally located, about 300 mts from Plaza de Espana and 50 mts from Santo Domingo Metro Station. The people manning the reception were very helpful and everything was ready when we entered. There is a lift for hauling luggage which was very helpful. There were two rooms, beautifully decorated and two balconies (although small) gives you a relief. The Master bedroom contained a double bed and the second room had two twins. The beds were comfortable, plenty of charging points, kitchen well equipped, washing machine, iron and even a ironing board was at hand. Hot water throughout the day. The only small negative points were three but that would not deter me to give a full five stars. The wifi speed was slow and dropped during the evening, sometimes the range was also poor, the floor of the bathroom got heated up when the room heaters were working to such an extent that you need to wear slippers unless you want to burn your feet, bedside tables by the side of the bed would have been very helpful to keep small articles. Overall 100% recommended.
We booked this particularly to have a washing machine and closeness to the Metro. We found the check in friendly and they happily stored our suitcases after check out. The premises appear to be undergoing renovation but we were not disturbed by noise. Our apartment was roomy with modern appliances, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small and the shower screen needed fixing but overall for the price it met all our expectations. Wi fi worked well and free
Very nice, clean and well situated apartment. The street below seems to be somewhat a party street during weekends, which leads to a bit of noise in the apartment. Convenient situated apartment with walking distance to almost anything in central Madrid. Good internet but two days with problems with electricity out of five - not good!! A bit concerned about the missing fire escape when living on the fifth floor. No fire equipment anywhere.
