As we have family in that area of Madrid, even if there are other hotels near by, we always stay there. good value. nice staff. there is a taxi rank at door and also bus stop where you can take a bus that take you right tp the center in half an hour. there are a few bars and restaurants around and also a VIP next to the hotel in case you rather to have breakfast somewhere else. Hotel is clean and confortable
Wow !! We booked in this hotel because Marriott is on the title.... don't get mistake with the one on the US Marriott. This place is DIRTY ,the hotel outside is pathetic, NOBODY even clean the steps is just horrible. The smell on the hallway is disgusting, smell old and need to get aire . Rooms are super small, and you always need to be asking for more towels, toilet paper.....and the Shampoo and gel is the same ingredients not used as Shampoo. They definitely work very well for Chinese people they have TONS of them by Buses Very disappointed!!
We had our mini ipad stolen from this hotel. The mini ipad was hidden out of sight. We stayed at so many different hotels from 2 stars to 5 star hotels. It only happened here. When we complained to the Manager- Maria, she chose not to do anything about it even after knowing there were 2 housekeepers who went in and cleaned our room. She just shrugged us off. What an upsetting stay. Would not recommend this hotel at all!
I stayed for one night and out of the control of the hotel is thunderstorms as they are nature.. but as the window didn't shut, the room was dated and not all the lights worked this is complete control of the hotel. Breakfast is average for the price and when asking on checkout could they order a taxi I was told walk to end of road and hail one from the taxi rank. Breakfast is very poor affair and not worth the money. In short would I go back.. not to this hotel as I'm sure Madrid has hundreds of other ones.
Convenient location to many businesses, but somewhat noisy near the highway. Reception was very friendly and efficient. Room was ok, but bathroom mouldy all over and the pillowcases full of holes, one looked even very much used by a former guest. Been here several times and the hotel is slipping from mediocre to bad rapidly.
Perfect to get outside the city by 25 miles. Laura at front desk is super. Dinner menu is just enough and server Jaime is great. Breakfast buffet very nice. Close to Madrid airport by 15 miles. Small city with great restaurants. Bus 162 brings you to the metro from the grey line.
I've been visiting saunas that have been colder than my room was on arrival. The ventilation spewed hot (HOT!) air out in the room and it was really a heater, not an AC. And no way of setting any temperature or anything else. Front desk said that they would "send someone to turn the heat off" (it was 20° outside by the way). They didn't, or at least they didn't succeed. Left the window open to make the stay good enough for my brief stay. Complete with the noise from the busy route M40 outside. Oh well.. On top of that the drain was clogged, lots of small things missing (like ironing stuff), breakfast didn't have any scrambled eggs and had to wait for quite a while to be allowed into the breakfast area because of "clearing of tables" which took quite a while (and I was in a bit of a hurry). The bed was comfortable, however. That's something.
This property is a very decent place to stay for a business visit. The hotel is simple, with basic accommodations, but it meets all basic needs with good quality. The rooms are appointed with contemporary furnishings. The bed is firm. There is a variety of pillows, and the linens are crisp and pleasant. Towels are ample and they appear to actually follow their stated green standards of only washing when requested. There is a small stocked mini bar with soft drinks, candy, and some beer. WiFi in the hotel is ubiquitous, reasonably speedy, and included in the room rate. There are a very limited number of outlets in the rooms to recharge electronic devices. I was traveling in March and the hotel room was uncomfortably hot, even with the AC/heat turned off. I had to prop the window open the entire time to keep the room at a reasonable temperature. Breakfast is a typical continental style breakfast. Nothing to write home about, but more than adequate. Good coffee, by the way! The gym/spa is a small area, but surprisingly complete. It is situated on level -1 in the parking garage area. It includes an elliptical machine, two stationary bikes, and a treadmill. There are free weights as well. But here's the surprise: There is also a sauna, a steam room, and two "pressure showers". Refrigerated water is available in the Zona Deportiva! If you're sensitive to road noise, you won't like the location, just along route M40. but the hotel itself is quiet. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it to others. It is not a luxury hotel, but for the money, you're getting decent value.
I hated this hotel. It's out of nowhere. The rooms are very tiny. No one helps you with your luggage. The front desk is useless. The staff were bot helpful and seemed annoyed when you ask them. Not a good experience for us.
This was my third stay at this property. As a Marriott lifetime Platinum I always try to patronize Marriott properties. This one is not doing the Marriott brand any favors. The check in experience was gruff to say the least. No recognition of status or offer of an upgrade either. This isn't hugely important to me but it is a good indication of the level of training of the staff. The rooms are a nice size, the bathrooms too. Yes, the lighting in the entire property is dark. The amenities are now so minimal that in some markets, this hotel would not qualify as a 3 star. I refer specifically to facial tissues or lack therof. It is normal in Spain to provide these in a small pack, rather than have a box of Kleenex installed in the bathroom. The AC Arvaca has now eliminated facial tissues altogether. I went to the front desk to double check and yes, too bad for you if you have a cold as tissues are a thing of the past. Laundry bags have also been removed. What next you might ask? Well visitors to AC hotels will remember their signature "golf ball" soap. An interesting and unique soap. The "new" version is an oddly shaped and off color imitation made in China. Some readers may think I am being too picky, but the details are important and the pattern here is a dumbing down of the quality and thus the brand. As other reviewers before have noted, the breakfast offering is very thin and uninspiring. The location works for me, there are dining options very close by, but I will be exploring different hotels until I can see evidence of the AC Arvaca management making an effort to improve the guest experience. Right now they are failing badly.
