I only stay there for for a couple hours cause I was in town for work, but it satisfied my needs.
Good place to stay
The cost was high considering the property and not serving breakfast also
I believe the rating on Orbitz was 2.5 stars. Our options were limited so we stayed there. The price was good. The beds were comfortable. Pillows were good. The shower only had a little bit of black mold in it. The door doesn’t naturally shut on its own. You have to pull it. The shower was not hot nor was it cold. But you had to run it for about five minutes. Frequently I have to flush the toilet twice for some reason. I called the front desk about four times. They picked up twice. The continental breakfast was better than nothing. The apples were extremely soft. The walls were painted but not very well. There was stuff splattered a little bit on some of the walls but it wasn’t awful. It was quiet at night which was surprising. There is no thermostat. You just have to dial up the air conditioning to whatever guess you think it should be at then wake up to adjust in the middle of the night.
Breakfast was not included, as was stated on the Orbitz description. Cigarette burns on carpet, bathroom sink was stained, and corners of bathroom floor were dirty. Yard was filled with weeds.
Yikes. It's been a while since I've stayed here and I think nothing has been touched. COVID policies were not communicated in advance which means our room wasn't cleaned overnight (not that it was clean to begin with) and there was no breakfast. I wouldn't have minded if it was clearly communicated before our stay or even upon check-in (I noticed a paper sign the last day about the breakfast). Honestly there are zero amenities. We had an iron but no ironing board. No safe. No blankets. The sink and tub had no stoppers. The first room we walked in reeked of cigarettes and even the room we moved to occasionally had that smell in the bathroom probably from the vents of other rooms. The "cleanliness" of our second room was unacceptable - sticky substances on the top of the microwave and desk which I cleaned myself, about 8 squares of toilet paper on the roll with no backup. The door had to be slammed to be shut in order to keep your belongings safe while away and the door did not meet the floor - you could see daylight coming through which also means you heard all of the noise from the outside, smell smoke and hear other guests. I know this is one of the cheapest options in the area but I don't think you get your money's worth out of it. The only decent point was the front desk giving us a new room (albeit dirty but likely not their fault), and giving us toilet paper and towels. If we would have been able to cancel upon check-in, we would have.
Gross... Not a hotel for families. We booked a non-smoking room at the Super 8 Madison East location, and when we arrived found the entire 3rd floor (and our room) reeking of cigarette smoke. You can’t simply put non-smoking signs on the doors and call them non-smoking rooms… 10 minutes after getting to our room, my husband asked the front desk if we could change rooms, and was told no. There was also no breakfast in the morning, contrary to the property information/amenities listed on the Orbitz site. It's actually the reason why we chose this motel (which cost more) over another nearby, that didn't include breakfast. We ended up going to Panera. Very disappointed in the cleanliness and customer service. Save your money and book somewhere else.
Would never stay there
Well, it was cheap and you get what you pay for. Old and dingy. Cigarette burns in blankets. Uncomfortable beds. No plugs near beds for phone chargers. Very thin, rough towels and only two of them in room. The only good thing was the location.
Nothing of particular note here. Maintenance girl on staff was helpful and friendly.
Rationed ice, not one ice machine, you had to ask and I recieved a cup Pool closed, its not even Sept yet To many dogs I will start looking for places that are animal free If a dog stayed previously in my room i should be told, don't you agree
Sink had a big crack in it, a/c had boards holding it up.
People smoking marijuana around the Building..air conditioner condition
I reserved a room for two nights knowing I would not be able to check in until morning the next day, well after the 3PM check in time. I called the property to let them know I would be late checking in. They assured me that it would be fine. When I checked in at the time I told them I would be there they had trouble finding my reservation, but eventually found it in the "no show" group. Not being able to reinstate the reservation I was forced to pay for new reservation. Several things were broken in my room (sink, towel rack, "secure" entry door, etc) The bed cover was dirty as well as the bed side table. The pool was closed and dirty. The breakfast was cereal.
Could not control TV. No staff ever came to room. Refrig control knob broken, froze everything. Often had to wait many minutes after ringing bell for someone to appear. Staff lazy and sassy. Worst breakfast selection of any Super 8 I have stayed at. I would not recommend this property.
The whole building is in disrepair and unkept. The first room I was assigned had broken exterior glass (outside door entrance). The second room has not been cleaned and was a disaster. I honestly wouldn’t want my dog staying at this facility.
The staff were very pleasant. The hotel room was the worst I have ever stayed in. The style of building with the bedroom door to the outside meant the room quickly got very cold. The dial on the heater was stiff and so we either had too hot or too cold. Our door did not lock, the basket to the coffee maker was missing. We canceled our booking for the second night.
