Good location and great price. The hotel is being renovated. There were a lot of shady characters at the hotel and also some panhandling going on at the entrance. The night was punctuated with screams and angry shouts. Not a restful sleep. Also, basics like lights and heat were not functioning. The poor hotel staff was constantly being berated by the tough, thuggish clientele. The single blanket on the bed was thin an inadequate given the temperature. There is a functioning, heated pool. No workout room. The internet was free though it frequently cut out. It is ok for email. All in all, a very mixed bag hence the middle rating.

The people were nice, but the beds were uncomfortable, smell of smoke in hallways. Pool area, room smelled like mildew. Did not use the pool.

Hood rich hotel. Smells bad, the door barely opened or closed. People screaming all night. Just a poor experience

The most limited hotel I can imagine, especially for this price. Motel 6 charged low, Orbitz charged high--outrageous. Room had NO amenities: no chair, no hair dryer, tiny bathroom, no breakfast. I would never stay here again, and I think it is unreasonable that I could not find a phone number or email address for the motel. Orbitz's share of the price was unreasonable.

Room floor was dirty! Bed was comfortable. No Kleenex, no HAIR DRYER!, no internet unless you want to pay $5 a day for it, no breakfast, no toiletries. Just not a convenient place to stay unless you only want a bed, toilet and shower.

Overall room was clean. Door locks for key was annoying as had to get key rescanned at front desk numerous time. People staying at hotel seemed on the downscale.

I stayed one night in this hotel for a day trip with my daughters 3 and 15. When we arrived around 430 pm we were greeted and checked in within 10 minutes. We wanted to take our bags up to the room so we would not have to do it later. I am not sure how this hotel was remodeled three years ago but it did not seems like it. The hallways were a little dim and dingy. The Ac unit looked as though it was going to fall from the wall. It worked though so I guess that is all that matters!! The beds appeared clean as well as the sheets. The headboard on the bed did not appear to have been cleaned as you could see where someone had rested their head against it previously. The bathroom portion with the shower had some type of sticky residue in the bottom and the toilet was not properly grounded to the floor and made lots of noise upon rising. I’m not a heavy gal, only 140 pounds. There were also several strands of straight hair left behind on the floor that could have easily been swept up by housekeeping. The sink had not been fully cleaned as you could see where the previous person had left their soap. The ice machine was broken as well and our room keys didn’t work for the entrance closest to our room. The pool area was nice and appeared clean but the water was frigid so we didn’t stay on long. They do provide towels at the front desk for the pool which was nice. I did take disinfectant wipes and wipe down a lot of the area which I would have done even if it looked spotless.

Motel 6 Madison North is the best motel I've experienced. I stayed for one night so I could make it to an exam in the morning and all I really needed was a internet, a bed, and a shower. What I got was much more than that. Alex C. made my check-in experience quick and easy and was a perfect mixture of friendly and professional. When I reached my room it was clean, well lit, warm, and the bed was very comfortable. The internet was quick and worked perfectly for me to prepare for my test. I scheduled a wake up call for the morning, which was a great way to ensure I woke up in time for my exam. Alex was at the lobby in the morning and he, and the other staff, wished me good luck on my exam. (I earned an A if he sees these reviews). So, thank you Motel 6 Madison North for being a great place to stay so I could succeed on my exam!

Only one outlet to share for 2 beds. The door to room stuck badly and was very hard to open and close. Found cigarette butt in non-smoking room. Staff was not friendly or helpful. Roach motel.

Condition of the hotel was horrible, lightings, sink, and showers didn't work properly. Front desk still rebooked bad rooms to new check in arrival. We waited over 1 hour to try and get a new home which didn't happen so end up cancelling the reservation and going somewhere for the weekend stay.

Room was dirty, pool was closed again, microwave is so old it has no writing on it so you know what to set it at.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was very friendly. This is a typical budget hotel. There were no pictures on the wall, no shampoo or tissues and the towels were thin and scratchy. It is the least expensive place in town.
