DoubleTree by Hilton Madison

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

I used the office service and had help from staff. All was great. The food was great and the drinks at the bar were generous.

Walkable distance to downtown Madison/Capitol, Kohl Center, and Camp Randall.

Great location. Close to everything The only negative I can think of is that it was an open shower and it was hard to shower without getting the floor wet.

Only thing missing is coffee in the lobby and a free breakfast

Tom Ziarnik is a terrible manager and runs a sloppy and irresponsible hotel. I mistakenly was charged $500 for damaging the room. When contacted, they admitted it was a mistake, but did nothing to correct it. Tom Ziarnik refused to take or return my call. I needed to contact the Visa fraud bureau. Over two weeks later and still no refund. Ziarnik knows nothing about customer service, or rectifying his own mistake. Update: Ziarnik threatened me with defamation of character unless I remove my post. Need I say more?

This hotel is right near the action, just down the street from The Nitty Gritty and The Vintage. Everything was comfortable and lovely after a long day walking around town. I will definitely make this my go to hotel whenever I'm in Madison.

We went for a quick weekend, very relaxing close to lake and downtown, they had a free shuttle too. Good place

Hotel shuttle was very helpful and convenient. The staff originally said that breakfast would be included but it ended up not being included.

This was a wonderful place to stay for our weekend visit to see my UW Freshman perform in a choir concert. It was conveniently located near her dorm and the location of the concert, as well as lots of nice restaurants. The staff were wonderful, and the room was very nice. Also, can't beat the free parking in their ramp. Great place to stay in Madison! :-)

Location and hotel was fine, but pretty expensive for the amenities and hotel itself. Pretty standard place for a lot of money.

Perfect location and included everything we could have asked for.

Went to visit my son who is a new freshman at UW Madison. Doubletree is almost on campus, 4 minute walk to his dorm. The hotel is an older building but maintained and updated nicely. Fantastic staff, very nice breakfast/brunch included in room rate. I will stay here every time I visit. Assuming they have rooms available.

Really enjoyed the Doubletree hilton. Staff were very nice and ver accomadating. Beds were great as well as the pillows. Loved having frig microwave and coffee maker in room. Only thing I was disappointed in was the shower. No tub and water pressure was low. Cookies were a nice bonus

We found the Hilton Doubletree to be a great hotel. Our room was very nice. Then whole hotel was very clean. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We were in walking distance of downtown Madison and the Capital. Will go back there again

Nice and clean room. Friendly staff. Good location. Bit pricey.

Convenient location in downtown Madison. Clean and modern rooms.

Had a nice 1-night stay - perfect location, very friendly staff at front desk. Would stay again.

Love this hotel. Hotel personnel wonderful, very helpful with directions. Beds comfortable, rooms very clean.

We stayed overnight for a visit to see our son who is a student at UW-M. The proximity to campus is great. The experience is great. On-site parking is very helpful. Higher price, but you get the benefits - and the warm cookie at check-in.

We really enjoyed our stay this past weekend. We were visiting our daughter at UW and the hotel is so conveniently located near campus. The room was nice; bed and linens were comfy and the staff was wonderful.
