Don’t let the outside of this hotel fool you. When we pulled in at night I was concerned as it appears dark and bland but once we walked through the doors that impression changed. Very cozy, clean and comfortable. Good emenities good gym equipment darling restaurant.

The room was very nice and spacious. Friendly staff.

The entire inside of this hotel has been re-done beautifully! The amenities are first class! The food was delicious at the restaurant.

Thought I would splurge to stay at a nice place. Overall bad experience, would have been better to stay at an economy motel. Certainly the beds would have been more comfortable and we would have had a complimentary breakfast. Lesson learned.

We were visiting family in the area, so primarily interested in a comfortable hotel where we could rest and get a good night's sleep. This hotel was a good choice.

We always enjoy staying at The Kirkley when we are in town. They also serve excellent food in their restaurant.

Had a great experience this weekend. I had worked at the hotel (when it was the Hilton) in 1986, while in graduate school. Pleasant staff, outside of the building looks the same as it did 30 years ago. However, the inside was beautiful with many improvements. Would definitely recommend staying there.

Fast friendly check in. The fastest elevators I've ever had at any hotel. Comfortable rooms. TV could have been bigger. Decent indoor pool, but needed to have the water clean. No free breakfast, but my sons and I did dine in the restaurant. Five bucks for them, ten for adult. Overall, 4-5 stars .

Hotel was comfortable, clean, staff were friendly had no concerns. I appreciated the early pool hours. I would recommend.

I was in town to see a soccer game between the University of Virginia and Liberty.

Myself and two other people didn't get to our room until 1:30 in the morning. At about 1:45 a.m. the security guard knocked on our door because people said they could hear us when we came in.... I didn't know that saying "this is our room "and shutting the door, would get a security guard called to our room. I think that was absolutely ridiculous. If we were doing cartwheels in the hallway I would understand but all we did was enter our room.

While it doesn't stack up to hotels of similar 'star' levels in major cities, for Lynchburg it may be some of the best they have to offer. The room was spacious however upon a further look, you could tell it didn't quite have the 'polished' look that you would find in those hotels or locations that are well versed in the look and feel they were going for. Under the cascade there was the 80's, tired hotel. Certain aspects overlooked on the update (both inside and out) and sometimes a strange use of space in attempts to capture a feel found in their 'big brother' hotels in metropolitan areas. That being said, if you can overlook it, the hotel is sufficient. The price point reflects their aspirations, but with a discount, it can be viewed as suitable.

Hotel was very nice and has a great restaurant with a surprisingly great great beer and drink selection. Close to mall and highways, good location. Rooms are close together so you can hear more than you normally would. Also, TV in room very small and no option to rent movies.

The hotel looks nice but the staff's friendliness and services can be better.

This hotel was a pleasant suprise for a traveling person. Clean, good food, friendly staff. I will stay again.

For the most part we were happy with our stay. There was one worker that was rude to us when we came in after a long day of shopping. We wanted coffee and to relax in the lounge since the rooms are nice but small and has two chairs and there was three of us. He first asked us if we had a room there and then told us that there was coffee in the room in a rude manner. The other staff could not have been nicer. One apple should not spoil the whole bunch. The double room is two full size beds not queens.

We always stay at the Kirkley Hotel when visiting our Daughter at Liberty University. It is super clean, the rooms are large and well appointed, it is easy to get to and close to the campus, and the newly renovated restaurant it First Rate for breakfast. This is a great place!

Hot tub not working. Clean comfortable room. I have stayed here before. I think they should give a Continental breakfast.

We were in town to visit our granddaughter at Liberty University. This is a wonderful hotel! Our room was clean and well appointed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient to the college. Tremendous value! Will certainly stay here again.

We always try to stay at the Kirkley Hotel when we visit our daughter at Liberty U. It is close by and the rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. The recent renovations to the dining room area are extra special. You do have to pay for your breakfast, but it is extremely well done and you have a waiter or waitress, plus made to order food, for under $20. If you want a great hotel, that is clean and spacious, stay here and don't think about anywhere else.
