The bathroom was not working, told the employee, he just dropped plunger. Bed sheets were not clean

Nice field to walk my dog, good spot in the midddle of the places you need to visit. The breakfast was the weakest part. Cold because the one waitress is over worked. The cleaning staff desk people all wonderful .

The stay was okay. However, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing. There was residue on the mattress cover sheet and stains. It did appear that the sheets were washed. There was papers and peanuts behind the night stands.

I don't want to give a negative review because they try. But the cleaning staff is cleaning the rooms from about 10am to 3pm. They leave the metal hinge out for ease of getting in and out each room. But the heavy metal doors slam hard and the building setup allows for reverberation every single time a door closes. It was unnerving. Families checking in and out would do the same thing with the door. It's a simple fix, coat the hinge with rubber or make the door close softly. I was in a non-smoking room. I smelled marijuana and cigarettes a lot. It comes through the old shared vent.

It was okay but would not stay here again. Management did not insure that the rooms were cleaned. They offered to do it when we returned at 5pm, but all we wanted to do was kick back.

recent work in the bathroom area was not cleaned up. towels appeared dirty, sheets were old. room quite small.

The staff were very friendly. We enjoyed having a restaurant at the hotel for a hot breakfast in the morning and it was nice having the hotel close to the heritage festival and also the caverns.

The room was clean & updated. The bed was not so comfortable, duvet was very heavy so hard to use at night. I could not find any coffee cups a or any cups in the room even though there was a coffee maker. There was a spray bottle of cleaner left sitting on our toilet on arrival. There was an odd odor in the room, like a chemical smell. It definitely fits the 3 star category & served its purpose for us for one night.

The hotel met my expectations but they weren't high based on location and the season. The room offered all the necessities for that night and morning but I don't recommend a long stay there during the winter.

the staff are nice, very helpful, they gave us a lot of good info for the area. A nice stay.

Great staff, very friendly. The restaurant was clean but service was slow. I expected to see a buffet style breakfast bar but it was good food. The room was old however the bed was very comfortable and had plenty of towels, etc. I would recommend staying here if you needed a one night stay.

Front desk guy was very pleasant and professional. Flies were too numerous. They did provide a fly swatter. Breakfast was great as was the wait staff. Other rooms had dogs but I would not have known other than seeing them outside. Walls must be thick as I did not hear them. Overall good but too pricey at $131.00 for one night.

it was neat but very outdated. Breakfast at the restaurant was very slow. Dinner at the itialian place next door was really good..

Needs redone. Smelled. Really musty Faucet didn't work in the sink

I was planning to spend a night at the Shenandoah National Park but unfortunately all lodges sold out way before Memorial weekend and all I could find available was a room at this hotel. From the outside the place looks just like a highway motel. The room was a non-smoking, however it smelled pretty bad (not exactly like cigarettes but I couldn't figure out what the bad smell was) and there were flies everywhere in the room and in the bathroom. The shower curtain was stained and during my shower the stains came off... so I figured the whole place was just dirty and gross. I wish I had brought my own sheets and towels. At the check out, I got a bill with a different rate then what I had been told on the phone a few days earlier when I booked the room so - so on top of all that, clueless staff. Overall pretty unpleasant stay and extremely expensive for how bad it is - can't believe I paid $160 for this. Not staying at a Best Western again.

The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly - all in all the price met our expectations.

Convenient location if visiting National Park but area is a bit depressed so not a lot to do in the evenings. We stay at a number of Best Western hotels and while staff were very helpful, the rooms were not up to par with other locations but average for the area.

the layout and type of room was just what we expected, but the ants all over the tile floor in the hall and bathroom was disgusting. when we went to front desk, they apologized, handed us a can of spray and said they did not have any other rooms. Think they would have taken care of the problem, not the guest. it wasn't a good night's rest cause you didn't know if you got them all or if there were other unwanted guests!

Great location and comfort for the price. When we arrived I was worried because I saw a group of about 6 in their 20's that looked they were up for a party. We had hiked old rag and were tired. The room was very comfortable and we were locked in like a vault. I didn't hear a single sound until my alarm went off. Staff was very amicable also.

Room was clean, but water didn't drain in sink. Free wifi didn't work. No room on sink for personal items and the microwave, fridge, ironing board were all in the closet space. Did not like that it was an exterior entrance on the first floor.

I am glad that you found our staff helpful. We have recently changed many of our housekeeping employees and are working on retraining. I will personally look deeper into these issues.

Each room is actualy set up with individual air venting, and though we are a non smoking facility, some guest still choose to ignore this and smoke and do other things they should not in rooms. We have told our staff not to do this with the door and have put a stopper plate on the doors to relive some of the impact from when guest do this.

I am sorry about this, we have since let the housekeeper go who was assigned to clean this room. We do inspect the rooms that are not occupied for cleanliness, but try to limit the number of times that occupied room are disturbed for cleaning and we are working on a better flow up system for our stay over guest.

We are sorry about this , we have since let go or the contractor doing the work and some of our housekeeping staff that were underperforming. We are in the process of changing our linens to our summer stock .
