I liked that it was a clean hostel and nearby to the Oktoberfest! I didn’t like that that hostel raised the price up a lot during Oktoberfest. I had to pay $82 per night when the usual price is €15 a night. The hostel also lacked restrooms and showers!
Nice lovely hotel, close to central of the city town with smilling staff but there is no soap on bathrooms.
I have never stayed at a place with no hot water until now - at the 2nd most expensive hostel I've ever stayed in. Elevator would not stop at my floor, seems it's been broken for some time. Others said there was no hot water for days and no one seemed interested in fixing it. All I got was a "sorry". I should have gotten my money back. Completely ridiculous!
Good experience, nice breakfast, pretty quiet even on holiday.
We stayed there for one night only. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very nice. What we liked most are the connections. Close by you get bus number 58 in direction of Hauptbahnhof and also the U3 in direction of Marienplatz! Will consider going again!
Travelled from the US with 8 people and chose this hostel based on the location. 5 minute walk to the Oktoberfest grounds. The staff spoke English, and were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early in the morning and they had a luggage room that we could store our bags until check-in. The rooms were large enough to not feel crowded. The bedding, overall room, and bathroom were all very clean. The downstairs bar area comes alive at night and the other guests were just as friendly. It was a bit loud at times, but that is to b expected with the Oktoberfest festival going on. Overall the location was second to none, the rooms were just what we needed, and the atmosphere of this hostel is extremely fun. Had the time of my life here and I highly recommend.
I understand these are mixed rooms, however the staff does not track male to female ratio so it's is possible for 1-2 females to spend the night in a room of 4-5 male guests. This combined with the sale of alcohol at the front desk and an actual drunken roommates prompted me to cancel my 13-night reservation. The Internet is very slow and 98 non-existent above the lobby. They'll ask for a €2 deposit for the key card and rent towels for €1. I've stayed I (mixed room) youth hostels before, this is the first one where I've had to really consider my safety.
